I have an aftermarket grill for my truck. Weirdly it was cheaper to buy with the raptor lights then without. But it was matte black, that was the biggest point, to get rid of the Chrome stock grill
Meso allowed me to black out all the chrome inside my Tacoma... Also let me replace those hideous chrome mirror turn signals with blacked out ones... And I got his interior red lights... I think he makes an awesome product!... Also thank you for the new Tacoma video 👍
LED headlights that aren’t adjusted, failing/peeling plastidip, tow hitch “balls” ornament, and heavily tinted brake lights are the most annoying to me.
What do you mean by LED headlights that aren't adjusted? Just curious because I replaced my normal halogen headlights with LED bulbs, curious if maybe If there's something more to do besides just bulb replacement now
@@SlambeastyKIng It's a good idea when modifying your lights or changing the suspension to make sure your lights are still aimed in the right direction, both for the best visibility for you and to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. I have an almost complete interior done over by meso customs. I got rid of all the chrome, did white accents everywhere except the shifter (I have an MT, and no one makes the chrome delete for that part). It certainly adds a nice touch to the interior!!
I swapped out my grill and added lights on a 2019 limited. But I’ve also color matched or blacked out all of the chrome. I was hesitant on the Raptor lights but then decided to send it.
Probably one of the few people who haven't done any of these mods. I saved $20 by using a small "Command Hook"!on my gas door, instead of buying the "Gashole" (great name). My 2016 TRD Sport is pretty much 100% stock.

The Westin bull bar was my very first Tacoma mod. I thought it was totally rad, but I didn't yet know about other more cool bumper mods, like my current Body Armor 4x4 Hiline winch bumper. Anyone looking for a slightly used Westin bull bar? j/k :)
I just updated my 2012 with a newer grill and lights. Light are nice 3 lights for a raptor and 4 on a Tacoma. I also have the bull bar and agree about the functionality but works nice for just mounting an extra light.
I'm struggling with a choice. I've got a 19 trd off road that's more than a daily driver. I work out of it. I've got a fiberglass campershell and carry another 150 -200 lbs and got the rear end squatting like crazy. Planning on icon rtx springs but undecided on 5100 or 5160. Any advice? I live in western North Carolina. Mostly highway, gravel roads. Thanks for any input and love the videos.
The heritage grille should’ve been the stock grille and given the pro something cooler because the stock grilles are kinda sad compared to the cool grilles in the past
Yeah, the Raptor lights make me scratch my head. Why would you want your truck to look like a Ford? Let’s see…KO2’s on Method wheels, leveling kits, snorkels, Morimoto or Alpha Rex headlights, any blackout mods, exterior mounted recovery boards…don’t get me wrong, I like some of these, but it seems like in the spirit of being individually unique, everyone is kinda the same. Love your videos!
I don't think it's trying to look like a raptor, I just think people like the way they look. They are also great for making your truck more visible at night since most people can't even drive safely during the day lol. I personally like and have the raptor lights, but to each their own
@@grayghost1423 nothing wrong with them at all. The point of the video was the “annoying” aftermarket mods. I listed the ones that seem so common while other good products are overlooked. I love Method wheels myself. They offer bead lock wheels that hold the tire to the rim for those who air down for extreme off roading. Since I won’t be doing that with my truck, I wouldn’t spend the money to get that feature, but they offer a wide variety of nice looking rims.

Yeah raptor lights are a big no. The raptor and TRX have them because they have a wheel base over 80” wide. Unless your tacoma has +3” long travel it doesn’t even come close to fitting into clearance light territory.
Not Toyota specific but loud droning exhaust. There are 4, 5, and 6 cylinder motors that sound good with an aftermarket exhaust, but in my opinion the Tacoma is not one of them. Maybe it is Toyota specific.
I'm not into any mod that has a company name or logo on it (Toyota logos, okay). If it has another company's name or logo; I think I should be able to get it at well below cost, or they should provide a significant cash incentive for otherwise free advertising. I just can't get into it.

Not enough sidewall on a lifted Tacoma… or any truck for that matter.
Raptor lights
The hood mounted bug catcher just collects leaves and holds them until they turn to dirt. Gotta be good for the paint.
For me it's oversized wheels with low profile all-terrain tires but that's not specific to tacomas
