This interview was definitely the best ..it's good to hear the way Phil describes what he thinks about the situation .it was very very orgamic . Everything grows from the organism ..when rex describes the album was also organic in a organic kind of way..the interview had so many elements to it that were infused together that made the two members of down and the best pair of organisms inside the interviewers bra made this up to your very own interpretation that made u slide down into a slot and do your own listening ..
Damn, Phil is getting back in shape! He used to speeeeeaaaaaak liiiiiiiike... (pause)... thiiiiiis for a while, and now he's blabbering on full speed ahead! Glad to have you back!
Rex- "and we come on and play for two hours plus" Phil- (interupts) "UGH we don't don't know, but it's definitely a two hours plus set" Haha, thanks for letting us know Phil.
Try the one at Loyola University, is one of the best and just keep watching, there's tons of sober Phil interviews and not just old ones, almost every week now one gets posted.
Rama Ascardius i agree. I have watched that interview over and over. He is a great storyteller. Enthralling. The woman that interviewed him knew enough not to speak in between his long pauses.
phil is sooooo f$cking burnt out man...i love it though...the funniest thing is that he acts like he truly thinks that everything he says is some huge philisophical observation or statement...keep it up man!
goddamn i love phil and even though it sounds like hes been dicked off since noon his words are still gold! he doesnt even have to sing or scream just speak and words turn to gold
in one of his vidz, Phil talked of Methadone. the effects of which i think we're seein now. he said it was a really freaky feeling, like falling 100 floors every 2 minutes.
@pricha24 yeah true. but i think being one of the biggest metal icons. dying from heroin and surviving would give him a decent amount of perspective on life that others wouldnt get. which give him some philisophical advantages
I do like Down for the most part. I think Down III Over the Under was one of the best albums. I think Phil is just Burnt. I mean he was a Herion Addict for awhile and kicked it.
That's a fucking good one man good way to put it he thinks everything he says is some kind of philosophical statement or observation and he's all fucked up that is fucking badass and funny
Hahaha....Phil will always be one of my favorite vocalist and biggest inspirations (in many ways)...but man, that dude is fuckin' perma-fried! He consistantly speaks like I do when I've had 5 or 6 drinks...slow....scattered....trying to put the sentences together... I love the dude, but goddamn...if he's truly not drinking anymore, he's still on the painkillers.
Phil rocks, man! I saw down during this tour, and he announced he was free of heroin but said his love for weed will never die. Nothin wrong with the green man! Plus you have to remember Phil is a person too, he endured the loss of one of his best friends, and his house, hell his hometown. I'm sure he's got a lot on his mind. Even if he does do some "controversial" things, I think he's actually quite intelligent given his past. And yeah those are some awesome creamers on that chick!
Man poor Phil. I feel bad for him but not for others. I know I may sound like an asshole for saying this. The reason is because Phil's words and music has help me a whole lot in my life and he still is. And its just sad to see a talented, intelligent, and genuine individual like Phil be this way.
Rex looks like Willie Nelson and Phil is just baked
What I always liked about Rex is that he was always neutral. He was never against Phil or Vinnie and Darrell.
Theshark15z not true
@@user-ne9hg1lu3g

Jason okram at least he has grown up unlike Vince, Phil will admit he was troubled in the past
Nah man he was clean for 3 years at that point. He was probably drunk instead.
@@invincible581 Everyone has Ego and trust me Phil doesn't even know that you exist, so shut your whinny bitchass outta here!
Rex Brown is down to earth, he had to put up with Anselmo for most of his life...
You do realize Phil only acts thst way to the media

@555carnage666 - Rex has a new band now and wants to spend time with them. Phil and the rest of the Down members are cool with him leaving.

-Is that correct?
-CORRECT!!!!!
Hahahaha Rex :D
"ffffucking struggle". badass phil \m/
I never saw an interview where he was really sober.
Except every interview since 2005... LOL. Wtf. Too many myths
Phil is looking and sounding good, I think he's just in a weed faze, he says totally organic! He is not on smack , like 2007,hi is clean at this time.
Hes been clean of hard drugs since 2005. People talk too much about his drug use.
@Obrian81 rex left that band too.
I do like Down for the most part. I think Down III Over the Under was one of the best albums. I think Phil is just Burnt. I mean he was a Herion Addict for awhile and kicked it.
can anyone tell me why Rex is´nt in the band anymore?
...cheers from Germany

Did Phil Anselmo do the fusion with Tupac Shakur ?
Man poor Phil. I feel bad for him but not for others. I know I may sound like an asshole for saying this. The reason is because Phil's words and music has help me a whole lot in my life and he still is. And its just sad to see a talented, intelligent, and genuine individual like Phil be this way.
Rex sounds like Billy Bob Thornton
(oYo)
I felt that annoyance at the end she said it hides the flaws.
Hahahahahahaha "organic".
Nice.
