True story: when I was a younger lad (as Sir Nick would say), I was a range boy at TPC Sawgrass, where “The Players” is played. Sir Nick (just Mr. Faldo back then) was on the back of the range days before the practice rounds, by himself, hitting ball after ball....for hours.
I quietly sat on a towel behind him and just watched the master hone his craft.
He was truly like a machine. 1 yard fade, 1 yard draw, 2 yard fade, 2 yard draw....all the way to a slice, and then a hook. And then, he started all over again, but this time he changed the trajectory.
At the time, I was 16 and a +2.2 handicap. I had no idea how truly unskilled I was, until that day.
Sir Nick is hyper-talented and possesses a skill that 99.999% of people will never come close to.
I’ll never forget it.
Sir Faldo has certainly kept himself in great shape...Mizuno is THE best...
I love Faldo. I love watching him. I love listening to him. And he is so moody in a funny way❤️
Nick still has that lovely crisp sounding strike.
Total legend , brilliant to watch Sir Nick and mizuno , both quality....

Hers another twist. When I get to the Gapr, sand and lob. I prefer old rifle 6.0 shafts, taper tip. I have tried everything, including my iron shafts, tipped softer etc... Its right around the gap wedge, when you are stepper and not quite as aggressive you need to get fitted completely separately. A shaft fitting should concentrate of how a normal swing makes the ball go exactly where you are aiming, distance comes second. Also, some shafts can make you miss the sweet spot alot more often, play close attention to that as well!
I tried KBS Tour X and found the dispersion too high vs S300. I have S300 parallel tip, so it feels slightly stiffer and tip stiff/butt soft vs taper tip S300, which makes sense looking at the step patterns between both. I have hit S300 parallel tip for 20+ years i.e. once I found it, that was it! Nothing else hits the ball straighter....for me. X100 taper and parallel always make me come over the top i.e. my brain understands I have to swing harder i.e. the butt feels stiffer. I have a high swing speed, but slower tempo, so that's why S300 works! S400 parallel also works well, just a tad heavier and a little lower flight
Dynamic Gold S300 wins....shocking. Greatest shaft ever
Is nick standard length?
Craig Berry I’d be very surprised if he used standard length. I never realized how big of a guy he was until I met him.
Always thought he was 3/4 over in his prime with x100. These days as the standard length of clubs have increased he is 1/2 over in project X 6.5
@@simonkerr9513 Looks like he should be hitting DG S300
