“I’m a single child and I found at 65, 3 brothers”. That got me🥺😭 hope Nick enjoys his retirement
Such a humble and professional guy, he will be missed.
Love Nick Faldo. Absolute class act all the way. His voice is like a comfy pair of shoes.
Man that is so true such a good way to describe it well done 👍🏽
Faldo's one of the all time great TV announcers to go along with being one of the all time great players. That's quite the resume.
Faldo was fantastic. 6 majors he was the best of his generation. I will never forget when he cried when seve died. I burst into tears. Can't even watch it back. Such a great man through and through!
For me it was the 95 Ryder Cup, Seve and him both balling with Seve saying ''You are a great champion''
@@whiskypete8346 Yeah, me too, what a moment. What a win.
Look up Within Heaven's Gates by Rebecca Springer. Page 64 😇
the heart felt emotion of that broadcast was tremendous. that team loves one-another. golf is a game that captures the passage of time and friendships like few others. CBS and the broadcast team handled this with pure class.
Good riddance Sir Nick Faldo.
Golf is too stuffy and you made it worse… I won’t miss you commenting on how guys look and criticizing their weight.
The golf world is better off without your degrading commentary.
@@curtisscott6946 Obviously a Greg Norman fan 😜. A great loss to golf broadcasting
One of the memories I have of Sir Nick, was he was broadcasting the Masters and someone yelled get in the hole after a tee shot. Nick's response was please God, no, not at the Masters. Classic Sir Nick Faldo having so much respect for the game. Praying for your continued success away from the broadcast booth.
Man am I gonna miss Faldo. I've learned so much about the professional game, and playing the game myself, listening to him. What a tribute here, needed some tissues too.
Tune in to LIV to see him
I was a huge Greg Norman fan growing up. Turns out, I backed the wrong horse! Thank you Mr. Faldo.
No you didn’t ...........Great White Shark Rules
No you didn't. The 2 best players in the 80's and 90's. I always wanted to see Faldo as a kid. So back in 1991 at Birkdale I couldn't wait. But I seen Norman 1st and was shocked how I was fixated by him. His swing, his hair, etc. Me and my old friend played for years, I was Faldo and He (spike) was Norman. Lol.
I’ve been around the PGA TOUR for my whole life, Nick was very selfish as well, barely acknowledged anyone that wasn’t in his small circle.
Well said mate
I know, it's a damn shame. I'm totally with you.
Golf's Harrison Ford. Top commentator, great guy & golfing legend. Shame the British media didn't appreciate him as a player just like they tried to destroy Ivan Lendl & Novak Djokovic.
Agree about the UK media (I’m British). They perused him relentlessly in his playing days and were more interested in his off course antics. A lot of people would have folded after that. I don’t think he ever forgave them.
+1 had the pleasure of meeting him twice during the height of his powers. Off the course he was charming funny and charismatic, on it elegant and steely. Bless you Sir enjoy your retirement.
The world needs more people like this. He has always been a CLASS ACT. Enjoy your retirement well deserved. Play on.
Rubbish Ryder cup captain.
@@mikepxg6406 don’t be a muppet mate, take a day off
I must say I won’t enjoy watching golf nearly as much without Sir Nicks perfectly timed comedic commentary. What a LEGEND, you deserve some time for yourself and your family but we will miss you dearly! Cheers to you Sir Nick
One of the greatest golfers of all time. And what a fine man.
Emotion. Let it all go. ❤
A true legend, Sir Nick. A retirement well earned.
Quite possibly the greatest sports broadcaster, golfer, and person ever, for any sport. Truly a legend. He will be missed dearly.
Certainly one of the best commentators in golf AND a tremendous number of achievements on the tour. I’ll miss him !
Wow. I didn’t see this live. And I did not expect the amount of tears here. Kind of cool to see. He’s always been pretty stoic through the years. Shows just what it all meant to him and that is always cool to see.
Who says big boys can’t cry?
What emotion!
Hope the new guy can be half as good.
One of the best ever.
WOW!!Unbelievably emotional!!You can clearly see just how much they mean to one another.....Happy retirement Nick.
I will miss Nick Faldo I grew up seeing him play and then listening to his voice. He is a class act and i will miss him dearly. I hope he and his family enjoy his retirement in Montana he deserves it.
Sir Nick has been a very integral part of my weekends for a very long time. CBS golf will absolutely NOT be the same without him. Said needlessly. Enjoy your retirement Sir Nick Faldo! Thank you sir. 💯❤️
One of the best ambassadors for the game of golf.
Nick Faldo put his heart and soul into a game he loved, and he was very funny, as well as a great teacher in the comm box. Golf, clearly was very therapeutic for him, just like all players around the world. It's a beautiful game if you want it to be. Congrats Sir Nick Faldo on what you all done for yourself and us in the game.
Thank you so much Sir Nick Faldo, for the wonderful memories in your golfing career as well as a Broadcaster. Will be forever missed. Now it's time to open up a new chapter. Congrats Mate
Love ya' Nick! Thanks for all the wonderful Sundays on the grass and in the booth. Sassy, classy and always a joy...
CBS Golf will never be the same with Sir Nick Faldo, I watched this live and it was a very very emotional moment. Enjoy retirement Sir Nick! we will for sure miss you.
Well I’ve been a golfer for 31 years. This man is a staple in our community. I’m sad he’s going but it’s a joy to see someone retire on top of their game.
Boy did this bring me to tears too!
Sir Nick Faldo, one of the GOATs. Even taking the time to thank the people behind the camera, absolutely class mate.
Love ya Nick! You will always be apart of the CBS golf family. I'll miss your blunt honesty & golf insight. Be blessed Mr. Green Jacket!
Nick was such a gentleman of the Sport. One of the real Greats!
Nick Faldo was easy to hate when he was on the European Ryder Cup team and easy to love on CBS Sports. Thanks Nick.
Exactly all you yanks hated him,, two faced bullshitters,, whoop whoop,, get in the hole ball,, arseholes💩🇺🇲💩🇺🇸💩
He was genuinely affected by that moment… Wow
What a class act. I will miss Sir Nick's excellent commentary, energy, and humor. Be well Mr. Faldo!
Damn. Love the game of golf. Appreciate the genuineness of the folks who have brought the game to my TV through the years.
I can only imagine the feeling. I don't think anyone can prepare for the moment where they officially reflect back on their life up until that point in a very short timeframe and coming to the realization that a huge chapter is ending. It's truly an overwhelming feeling!
One of my fav moments in golf this year. Nick, you were an unbelievable player and a terrific presence in the Comm Box. Thanks for the memories.
Awesome tribute! One of my golf heroes!
If you love golf, you love Nick.....period! Thank you Sir Nick for so many wonderful memories both on and off the course. You are a true class act and will be missed! Best of luck with all your future endeavors and may you now enjoy the peace and privacy you've worked so hard for over the years. Cheers!! 🍻
Amazing man, thanks for the memories! 🙏🏻
Cant say he didn’t give everything he has to the game. Class act and a great gentleman.
The greatest British golfer to have lived.. Thanks for the memories.
Possibly my favorite sports personality period. No replacing him. Enjoy your retirement Sir Nick and thank you!!
I'm dreading the day this happens on TNT. If Ernie or Chuck retires the show will never be the same.
Time should never be taken for granted. It's one of those things you can never get back and isn't enough of.
i took up the game when nick was still in his prime along with azinger and couples and never cared for him for being shut off and kinda arrogant but in a game thats so hard to win and as i learned alot about the game over the years i really got to admire him and became a huge fan..especially that he fly fishes as thats the sport i love most and i fish the gallatin river many times in mt and hopefully one day i get a chance to meet him...he really was a monster on the golf course and certainly had that intimidation factor but he is a very humble emotional wonderful ambassador for the game..best of luck to him
I didn't know about this interview when I saw it live on TV. It made my eyes watery... I felt all the emotions they are having.
Thanks for the many many hours shared on the broadcasts, Nick! Enjoy!
Brilliant. Thanks for all the great memories Nick!
One of the all time greats. Nick I truly loved listening to you.
Thanks Sir Nick!!! You were my first favorite golfer as a kid. Happy retirement!! 🍻 👏
A top bloke. Happy retirement mate, well deserved. Regards from Dublin.
Nick Faldo all time great have a great retirement buddy!!
Sir Nick, thank you for your swing and thank you for your commentary. Blessings to you and your family.
I love Faldo. I’ll miss him during the masters most of all. Such a wise mature golfer! Shows a lot how great he probably is to work with seeing these guys tear up. Good luck Nick!
Hard to see him leave ! One of the finest ... and most symphatic guys in golf ever. Thanks and greez from Austria !
Awesome 👏. He was fantastic as a broadcaster. Glad you posted this video, I don’t watch golf on Sundays anymore, mostly because I’m out playing
An English man commentating on a US golf channel.!! Nick, you are a very special individual. A huge thanks for analizing the best game in the world and making a fantastic job of it. Huge thanks and all the very best for the future.. Nick Faldo, Melville Glades Golf Club, Western Australia.
Always great at describing what players are dealing with during tournaments, SO genuine, also !
Gotta love the raw emotion
I was stationed in London from 11/1989 to 11/1991. Best time of my life. I drove up to St. Andrew's in '90 to watch "Sir" Nick Faldo win the British Open. What memories. He's a great guy.
THE OPEN 👍 There is no such tournament called the British Open . THE OPEN is the greatest golf Championship ⛳️⛳️⛳️
@@Merq-ko8di My bad.

lol Not really his finest moment.

@@swamp_donkey Ditto, I think he got the last laugh anyway
Amazing career on and off the course!! Off to your happy place, just thank you Sir!!
This was truly a heart felt and emotional send off in the CBS tower for Nick Faldo. I think Nick is retiring too soon because I know Ken Venturi worked into his early 70's, and the golfing viewers would love to listen to Nick's excellent golf commentary for at least 5 more years. Enjoyed your wit and golf insight, Nick - you were the best. Congratulations on two great careers!
Always enjoyed watching him play and listening to him. What a great and genuine man! Enjoy your retirement Sir Nick!
Thank you for all the memories Sir Nick!! Enjoy your retirement!!

Goodbye Nick Faldo you’ll be missed on the PGA tour broadcast 💔⛳️
This just shows you how much friendship means, especially for a man with so many accomplishments.
I already miss Nick Faldo... A CLASS ACT...💘&🙏
Class guy and great player/commentator!!!😎👍
Enjoy your retirement, Sir Nick!!!
its great to see a life well lived with no regrets. Congrats Nick
Sir Nick was misunderstood as a champion player largely because of his laser focus and fierce competitive nature. His remodeling his swing to win at the highest level is a feat few could ever pull off. Its a pleasure to see Sir Nick appreciated for his many talents and side not seen during his remarkable career as the United Kingdoms greatest player.
Very nice send off. Enjoy the next chapter Sir Nick. A job well done.
The strongest men are the most emotional.
What a great man Sir Nick has been. He will be missed.
He will be missed ............as much as another dose of Covid

I love Nick. Really sorry to see him retire from broadcasting. Loved his commentary...and he was a great player. Going to be missed....
We'll miss you, Nick. You've taught us all so much about this great game. Given us a look into the psychology of a champion, how to manage ourselves and the course, and the nuanced feels of how to play so many golf shots. There will never be another one quite like Nick Faldo.
