Love the way Andre works technical information into his videos in a very natural and conversational manner. Wish they had a sliding rear door option. Those large rear doors may be a problem in parking spaces.
Andre 'drove' it on the ice but we know nothing about how's it's different from EV9 'on the road'. I'd guess it's just same as EV9 on the road. Nevertheless, the new IONIQ 9 will most likely be my first EV. I really like Hyundai's design decision except the design decision of the third side window.
Did you mean below zero *Celsius* temperatures? Great video, BTW. I'm glad you clarified the 7/9 issue. A few videos use the old name which is a bit confusing. Maybe they have plans to build an Ionic 7 later? Maybe an 8 as well?
They have -12*C in Arjeplog at the moment according to SMHI. Don't know how they had it in March, but February is the coldest month here down south and -17*C is not that cold up there.
Come on Hyundai, no disrespect but Sweden winter is T-shirt weather. Test your electric vehicles in the Canadian prairies or northern Russia from January to March.
Yep, no versatile doors, no flip fold seats due to a battery pack, limited range, half hour stops every 2 hours of driving on road trips... It fails on basically every comparison to a minivan as a versatile family hauler functional vehicle that is great for road trips. It's perfect for taking the kids and their friends to soccer practice though.
Why do you EV haters come to the channel if you just can't learn more and understand the tech. Andre and the TFL team have some cool exclusives and love it. Keep up the good work TFL.
MSRP on more popular trims, yes, more than 70k- could be less with combined rebates. Range- claimed all more than 300 miles, but as with all cars, YMMV. Cost on battery replacement? No idea. All battery production is going into new cars, not so much into spare parts. Will vary over time. So you got about 1/3 on your simplistic statements
Everything I'm hearing about this Ioniq 9 seems pretty good. My wife and I will definitely put this on the list of possible next vehicles.
And should be knocking 15-20K off the MSRP like they did on the Kia EV9.
except they are complete junk
@@Georgewashington-o7m Thanks for your opinion. Based on your review, I won't be buying one. Thank you!!
@@Georgewashington-o7m Your trash comments are all complete junk. I hope your whole life isn't all junk.
Check out lucid gravity
Excellent report Andre. Bet it was a thrill to fly off to Sweden to check out this prototype.
It was super special.
Andre for the cool video again. Very interesting video and cool that you were there 9months ago. TFL continues to lead on content.
Appreciate you watching!
This video was a bit of a surprise for me, but it was very informative.
Thank you for watching.

I would like to see more comparisons to the Kia now that they are going to start sales. The Genesis version is going to be killer.
Will there be a Genesis EV this size soon? EGMP or different chassis?
@@deansmits006 the GV90. But since it will be full size, it needs to be over 200 inches long and an inch taller than the ioniq 9.
A KILLER PILE OF JUNK

Heat pumps are where house heating and cooling is going.

Still no adventure-ev in Europe :( All city-suv's.
Lol good job keeping a secret
Oh cool... Interesting one hey
6:03 Can relate.

No worries. They test them in SK as well where temperatures range from -30° to 40°
Looks promising! The exterior design is, frankly, a bit weird though...
Great video but I think the Kia Ev9 looks way better than this one
The EV nine is actually designed for women. Men know better than to buy that boxy minivan.
Hopefully driving back to Hyundai for a re-design. PUKE UGLY.
So basically its a mini van with out sliding doors.

Could be worse…it could be a Dodge 😂
Someday, someone will add the sliding doors and say "We are innovating by adding sliding doors to our SUV!". Fine by me, lol
Toyota dealer's jealousy 😅😅😅
They should make an “ultra utility” Ioniq 9 model with sliding rear doors.
they just recalled their electric vehicles because they are stalling while being driven
That’s not true
Pile of JUNK
How could it be junk? Have you driven one? Have you owned it for a bit of time? No, you have not.
I always hear bad thing about Hyundai and Kia. I’ll pass
I’ve owned Hyundai and Kia for years and never had an issue
So it’s gonna cost about $70k+, get you less than 300 miles, and they’re going to charge you MSRP of the vehicle for a battery replacement. No thanks
