My 2001 Wide Glide was great. Miss that bike. Most comfortable bike I've ever owned. Mustang seat was the best. Handled like a dream with a bit of front suspension work.
I love sportsters. I’ve had several. Still have a 2003 883. Just bought a Street Glide Special. Eventually I plan on getting a 48 to tear up the town solo.
@@simon0062 Y'know, I bought his and her's Sportsters. She has a stock 1200 with mid controls, and I didn't like that either. I felt too boxed in with my feet right below me. Once I swapped the saddle on mine (and I went through 3 before I settled) I found it way better. So much so, that I'm questioning whether to swap the drag bar for a bmx style like the ones on the Rick's Motorcycles website. Will it have me sitting upright too much? Will I wind up dropping the 2" risers? I have to do it and see. Thanks for watching!
@@natehenson71 I bought his and hers. I didn't want to outclass her on my Raider and I wanted to show support by, "do-as-I-do" on the same machine. She has a stock 2021 Iron 1200.
Any of the sportster series bikes are made for solo riders. Once you put another set of butt cheeks on it, the biker is underpowered. I have owned them, I know. I now own a softail custom bike only a 96, but it has more power than I need even with a lady the same size as me. Don't hate your bike. They sense that kind of stuff.
I’m 50 and a super new rider. I just purchased a 2021 HD 48. I can’t wait to see the rest of your videos.

My first Harley.
Ok, you got me. Following. Army guy here, too.

Exactly what I plan to do with it!
with that seat and forward controls, obviously it's gonna make you feel like getting thrown of the bike lol

I bought a 2014 Iron and I love it. the 48 is just built wrong in my opinion! the ergonomics of the iron 883 and the 1200 are on pont. check them out!
You definitely don't hate this bike if you're planning the tire conversion. Just go get a Breakout. Longer bike bigger tire.
If I had another $25K + dealer markup, I so would. But I already have a Raider, so...
Get an Indian chief dark horse
it will be a great starter bike for your girlfriend to learn on....
