PCEM XP emulation, honestly I wanted to try this emulation with XP, but as you can see in the video it does not work well, because PCEM does not yet take advantage of the emulated video ram, the best emulators for WXP are VIRTUAL BOX, to use also VirtualBox Extension Pack , and remember that when you install guest addiction, to install in safe mode to enable 3D, and then install NGLIDE, VMWARE can also be used with WXP but on certain things 3D does not run, instead for the WINDOWS 95 / 98SE speech it is better to emulate it with vmware, because the video drivers for virtualbox are not yet complete and when you install win95 or 98se it gives problems, so in the end I DO NOT RECOMMEND XP EMULATION WITH PCEM because it is still not emulated as it should
@Nyan fan 6457 vbox and vmware use vtx, which must be enabled by the bios, otherwise if I use windows 10 pro and want to use hyper-v it does not work, however if a pc does not support vtx already I doubt that PCEM is able to work properly, it takes a nice pc with nvidia or ati to better emulate
@@KATIENERDGIRL did you disable sandbox mode, hipervisor and hyper-v from windows (Apps and Features)? you cannot run hyper-v and VM/VB at the same time in windows
@@Stayawhileandlisten hyper-v is always disabled otherwise vbox or vmware don't go, and I always emulate and I need them

Why did you choose to use FIC VA-503+? Does Windows XP run better with it? What about Shuttle Hot-557?

another problem I noticed on pcem and wxp, you can't increase the ram, so it always remains below the possibilities
The floppy boot xp link doesn't work anymore, can you give me a link to the one you used or one that works cause the windows 98 boot disks I find don't have smart driver.

Hi there. Do you know Windows XP Sp3 drivers ? So that I could install them on PCEM.

So I'm confused, My boot screen says 95, while yours is 98. 95 doesn't come with smartdrive

Could you PLEASE upload your PCem HDD´s with the XP installation? I only get issues installing Windows XP. First "updatepack.inf" error and then "acpi.sys"
I honestly don't recommend it because it's slow,but try this

@@KATIENERDGIRL I need to get Need for Speed 1 Special Edition for multiplayer running (testing it with some other guy) and NFS1SE in VMWare and VirtualBox lags like hell maybe it could work better using PCem. Best would be providing that Windows XP installation but when I get the same error(s) again I will quit :(
With every ISO out there I get some errors while installation and then it won´t run it annoys me I just want a working Windows XP

@@KATIENERDGIRL It´s not about the PCem versions, it´s about faulty iso images (but they work when using in VMWare in VirtualBox somehow), please provide your Windows XP iso or your whole OS installation
Ciao anche io sto installando xp ma nn ho usato la tua procedura..ho messo direttamente il boot dal cd e ho proseguito con quello e' lo stesso giusto?..
Allora differenzia dal boot perché non mi andava il setup perché da errore no DOS, ok bene allora ho creato una procedura in caso in cui la iso non parte con il boot
Ok cmq ho notato che l'installazione nella fase della copia dei file (quella con la schermata blu), ho postato anche sul gruppo il problema, praticamente e' abbastanza lenta sembra di stare su un vero pentium mmx con Xp e' normale?

how to send F1 to a Virtual Machine? when i try, It does the actual F1 command on my PC

Very good girl PCem emulation, honestly I wanted to try for microsoft Windows xp
I tried with wxp but with minimal results, because anyway it doesn't make you increase the PCEM ram in wxp and you only use that, to emulate wxp I use vbox or vmware
No audio or devices found. PCEM can't quite do XP yet.
do not emulate pcem with xp, because it is slow and better to use it with vbox or vmware

@Kyle Hill if they are games in dos there are emulators like dosbox dfend etc., if instead it is too fast you can dim the ram in the emulated machine

These days it’s easier to do cuz Pentium II emulation.

windows xp run better vbox or vmware, install ie7 and firefox2 32bit from xp

@@vicokoby if it works well with vbox, you can also try, otherwise forget it, however also on vbox and vmware if you don't install the latest IE7 on xp and firefox2 the internet doesn't work

@@KATIENERDGIRL Can you? No CD just floppy but I got a CD anyways elsewhere and but there is no sound for some reason on PCEM even though I was using AWE 32. Guess PCEM has a lot of kinks to work out.
@@kylehill3643 I tried to emulate WINDOWS XP just out of curiosity, but it runs badly and slowly, maybe faster with a pc with i7 / i9 cpu and 16gb ram, while if you want to do it for win 95/98 there are no problems and you can cd them find on winworldpc.com
