Getting a lot of comments about Van Gogh... Honestly, I really just forgot about it, which is frustrating because it truly is one of those scenes that really gets me. If I made this video again today, the scene with Van Gogh in the museum would probably come in around no. 2 or 3. Thank you everyone so much for watching, I could never have anticipated how many people would view the video I made on movie maker while sick in grade 9!
I feel so sorry when she was such a strong, fighter who kept going every time even with the ponds going she is just remarkable and then she saw her lover and he looked straight through her.
Her worst nightmare come to life. She had been dreading this moment for such a long time. After all they'd been trough for him not to know who she was...

Dynamics Boi... I’m saying you missed the point. The message is just a meaningless poem, like all books are if you think about it. There’s no point picking it apart. Speaking of, there is a huge a telescope on Hawaii where, if a message happened to be flying within its range (and its range can reach past quite a few galaxies) then you would probably see it. Wouldn’t even have to leave earth. Bet you would still miss it though.
The saddest part of all this, I think the doctor didn’t say it because he thought it would be better for the human doctor to have all his years with her. They could grow old together!
Yes Van Gogh truly is one of the most emotional episodes at the end and one of my favorites, top 3 for sure, but personally my number one, just realizing that one who was so depressed could actually realize how loved he is, and then realize its fictional, makes you wish you could do the same for him, definatley one of the first things i would do if i had a TARDIS.
That’s why I actually find that bit more emotional than when she loses her memory - that feeling when you’re so close to someone and then suddenly it’s like you’re a stranger. It happens in real life too (although not in the same way of course) and I’ve always felt that Doctor Who was at its best when just adding a sci fi twist to real-world emotions and problems.
Donna was such a great companion. It was so sad when the doctor had to say goodbye and she can't even remember. Doomsday follows closely and so many other scenes with the 9th and 10th doctor.
I'd say at this point in time there are many others that people dislike more aha. All of 10th companions are great but that was when I was a kid so I would say that lol.
I hear a lot of people complain about 10's regeneration saying that he whined and moaned, but I always go back to this: he is the only Doctor whose age we know - he began at age 900 and regenerated at 906. Six years would be a short span for a human, much less a Timelord, so his anger and angst is understandable. He had really just got started, and he really could have done so much more. Loved this video. You chose some great moments. I just watched Any and Rory's exit yesterday and cried again.

The saddest thing about the doctor saving Wilfred, sacrificing himself, showing the dark side of him, is that he knew time lords only have 12 lives, and that it would be his final regeneration. Such a touching scene, and powerful writing from Moffat.
His was called the most human Doctor while Matt's was called the most alien (although Capaldi would give him a run for his money.) Like his talk with Wilfred in the Cafe; can you picture Matt or Peter breaking down in that way? One old soldier crying with another old soldier. There are many things in print including RTD who said that we only got to see a few of the people he visited. He didn't think his next incarnation would remember them all and according to 11 in the Sarah Jane Adventures....he was right.
The doctor saving wilfred is my favourite. It's such a sad scene, the doctor knew time lords had 12 lives, and this was his last regeneration, and it shows his dark side, his anger, his despair, and then him sacrificing his life for someone a lot older than him, protesting for him not to do it! So touching!
@@hestia3068 Biologically and emotionally sure. Wilfred was over and near the end of his life. A 60 year old that might live to his 90's is going to feel older than a 900 year old that could live thousands of years. Wilfred lived a full life.

@@jackbridges9061 It had ME crying because it was a quote of the very first Doctor (William Hartnell), who had to leave the role he loved. Plus I loved Tennant's Doctor.
Indeed it makes me cry everytime and that's a hard task. You can see the solemn dread in her eyes and frustration in her voice. And from a comic actresss it's superb.
Donna memory wipe still kills me and so does the scene with River. Actually all the scenes with River kill me XD She is the only person I ship with The Doctor.
4:00 let me just put an idea into your head: the reason The Doctor never got touched was because River stared at it. she didnt let herself cry over her parents being sent back in time by an angel.. instead she let her husband cry while she watched the angel for him
Totally killed me when Amy called her by her given name Melody telling her to be a good girl especially she didn't have the mother daughter bond from when she was a baby.
"Being a fangirl won't hurt." They said. "It won't be painful beyond measure." They said. "It won't be devastating to say good bye to characters." THEY SAID!!
Totally agree. Especially when the whole life that he would have had flashes before him, and he knows it will never be - as the saying goes, "there's nothing so sad as a tomorrow gone bad"
Literally I cried at that moment. It was absolutely heartbreaking seeing that he saw a beautiful, ordinary, life flash by his eyes, knowing it would be the one thing he would never have if he changed back.
#3 needed to start with Wilfred's knock. It was at that moment everyone knew what was happening. My heart sunk when I heard it. the rest after it was just theatrics.
For me Amy and Rory's exit was the worst. The pains still fresh because Karen Gillan said she'd never come back. And it breaks my heart💔 but love the video💞
After Amy and Rory, Donna is easily the best companion the Doctor has ever had. She was his complete equal. Every other companion is somehow beneath him, with the exception of River. Hell Donna literally became a time lord.
I think Donna is as much as aAmy and Rory the best companion and not after them.. Every doctor is defriend so Donna was the best as long we had Tennant and amy and rory for Matt..
Donna was the worst companion I have ever seen in the show, and I have been a fan since 1974. Sarah Jane, Leela, Rose...heck, even Adric was better than Donna and he was ruddy annoying at times.
"does it need saying?" When the doctor watches rose kiss the doctor, his heart couldn't have broke anymore. Except that tiny bit short after when he erased Donna's memory. I needed recovery time after that episode
I am glad someone recognised The Girl in the fireplace ending as an emotional scene, and I agree it deserves top spot. One of Moffat's greatest gift to New Who, yet his most under rated.
Sam Watson I know this is a really old comment but I was just scrolling through the comments on this video and I’m so glad someone agrees with me! It might not have the same impact for others, but that scene still hits me as hard as it did the first time I saw it so many years ago.
@@ceinwencooke2603 i think it's sad because the last time the doctor saw de-pompadour made her feel hope for great adventures and experiences, but she ended up dying alone despite hanging on to wait for him. the worst part too is that the doctor didn't intentionally abandon her. so as he's reading that letter he feels levels of guilt, permanence, and sadness so great you can't even comprehend it.
Donna's was the most heart-breaking in my opinion. A saying I always live by is that "it is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all". But here, she lost everything. All her memories wiped, her love of travelling with the wondrous man in the box exploring the stars; the one to remind him that he is a good man even if he doesn't believe it, to make him remember to never give up and that always someone can be saved, the worlds they saved together with her name sung amongst the stars. She lost it all. And don't even get me started on her dad ... you can see where she gets her morals from. They'd never get to talk about the doctor and the adventures they had. I would've loved for him to be an official companion he was just so admirable and you can see why the doctor respected him so much - it really was an honour having you Wilfred.
Not for me, sorry! I know that was really emotional for a lot of people but it didn't really affect me at all. Not sure why, but thanks for the feedback! :)
I don't think the circumstances are as "sad" as other moments in the show, but just the fact that it's Tennant's last scene as The Doctor gives it so much more impact, plus the song of the oods and the way the show leads to that scene by making him visit all his companions are absolutely heartbreaking. That's just my opinion. _Vale Decem_
David's "I don't want to go" is sad because his usual line is 'Allon-y". Which means let's go. The scene in "The wedding of river song" was quite sad. I must watch that one again.
Poor Martha....she wanted so much for the Doctor to notice her but he was still hurting over Rose. It is kind of a sad exit because she knew that he would never feel for her the way she felt for him. The Doctor Donna always makes me sad. He had to wipe her mind of him and their adventures to save her life. She was his best friend and he could no longer be a part of her life. And oh Wilfred felt so horrible getting stuck and making the Doctor help him out. 10’s final exit makes me sad when he visits everyone especially Rose right before their first meeting before he regenerates.
"You decided that the universe is better without you, but the universe just doesn't agree!" This, I believe, is a line that everyone would be extremely happy to hear about themselves. That's the most beautiful thing ever written. I was so moved when I first reached this episode. The Doctor spent his entire life helping people, never asking anything in return. And when his time came, everyone from every corner of the universe stood up for him.
Only few are ever gonna understand how emotionally attached I was to the ponds, they were my absolute favourite companions ever. I was so upset when they left.
I know this vid was made over a year ago, but I think that moment in "The Pilot" where The Doctor was about to wipe Bill's mind, only for her to accidentally remind him of Clara with that melody playing......that just destroyed me a little on the inside
I think when Bill was made into a Cyberman, those shows were it for me. When the doctor "died" there with cyber Bill holding him, I cried like a baby. Bill theme song just rips my guts out. Clara's is almost as bad. I love Bill, that was a great character, and relationship, and I don't care what anybody thinks.
Can't believe I never really clicked Martha's story. I was too young I suppose. I was about 10/11 when thy travelled together and I never remembered the words of her goodbye. Makes me actually feel sorry for her! She actually liked the doctor and he showed no interest wow. Makes me think I should watch the whole thing back from 2005 to see the little things I missed
Martha (Freema Agyeman) was perhaps my favorite companion, in retrospect; she was so frank and honest about her romantic love for the Doctor and so perceptive that it would never be returned as she wanted.
Of all places the Doctor could have dumped Rose back on the parallel earth....he chose that fucken beach thats miles and miles away from home......good thinking Doctor, its like Sarah Jane in Aberdeen all over again XD
Yes, these were one of the saddest scenes ever in doctor who, but there are many others in my opinion. Like when River died and tenth was watching, also Amy and Rory after they broke up and each one of them explained why he/she left, tenth's regeneration, Rose in the doomsday, the doctor speech in the rings of Akhaten broke my heart into pieces and ofc in the last episode of season seven when the doctor told River that he's able to see her and listen to her always that scene made me cry without even notice ! I really have too many emotions every time I watch it, it doesn't matter how many times I rewatch doctor who it'll always give me these emotions. I think that's why I love him so much :(
I'm not someone who is easy to cry, and I haven't watched the show in years, but as soon as the scene where Wilfred tries to sacrifice himself...I instantly began sobbing. I had forgotten how heart wrenching that scene is. For some reason I'm more moved by Wilfred's actions than the Doctor's actual breakdown 😅He's one of my favorite characters in the show.
Amy and Rory's death was the most emotional scene for me cuz they was and always will be one of my favorite companions!!!!! They and Clara is my favorite companions!!!!!!! 😭😭😭
Omg Amy and Rory were the best companions ever!! I cried so hard when they left. I know they died peacefully but me just knowing that I would never see them again, it just shocked me so much. I was so sad.
YES! "The Girl in the Fireplace" was one of the most heart-wrenching episodes ever. To know that she loved him so much that she spent her entire life waiting for him only to have him arrive so shortly after she died was agonizing. Of all the heart-breaking moments in the Doctor Who series, this one was truly tragic. There are so many who are left waiting for the ones they love. If you can be with them, then go to them. Never leave love waiting ❤️💑❤️👨❤️👨❤️👩❤️👩❤️

DoctorWhoTrailers - While I agree the buildup to Ten’s regeneration is frelling awful, that little _”I don’t want to go”_ still gets me *_every_* time...
*Edit:* _frelling awful_ meaning *_very sad,_* not bad...
Had me crying so hard when he said that cause I didn't want him to go either
@@jackbridges9061 It had ME crying because it was a quote of the very first Doctor (William Hartnell), who had to leave the role he loved. Plus I loved Tennant's Doctor.
Donna's goodbye should be number one. The acting was so believable
4:00
let me just put an idea into your head:
the reason The Doctor never got touched was because River stared at it. she didnt let herself cry over her parents being sent back in time by an angel.. instead she let her husband cry while she watched the angel for him
Already thought about it mon compadre
Totally killed me when Amy called her by her given name Melody telling her to be a good girl especially she didn't have the mother daughter bond from when she was a baby.
"Being a fangirl won't hurt." They said.
"It won't be painful beyond measure." They said.
"It won't be devastating to say good bye to characters." THEY SAID!!
Yup...
I had my first autistic meltdown at doctor who

Doomsday broke me. Ten's regeneration, donna losing her memories those are the 3 big ones for me.
I’m exactly the same
When the Doctor saves Wilfred. My heart breaks.
I personally think that the scene “I don’t want to go” should be there and some scenes from dooms day
Nobody ever mentiones John Smith's death in Family of Blood
I hate that episode I stg
Totally agree. Especially when the whole life that he would have had flashes before him, and he knows it will never be - as the saying goes, "there's nothing so sad as a tomorrow gone bad"
Literally I cried at that moment. It was absolutely heartbreaking seeing that he saw a beautiful, ordinary, life flash by his eyes, knowing it would be the one thing he would never have if he changed back.
@@Tommy-fh9to I don't like those two episodes but John's death was sad.
#3 needed to start with Wilfred's knock. It was at that moment everyone knew what was happening. My heart sunk when I heard it. the rest after it was just theatrics.
When Eleven catches River's data ghost hand in The Name of the Doctor and says goodbye to her, now that breaks me 💔
Yeeeeees!!! I just finished that episode the other day (for the 50th time) and everytime..I have to rewind it. It’s SO good! 😭❤️
He transformed the pain of his tremendous life into.. ecstatic beauty.

Wow - you took a few words and described why so many love a sci go program! Well done!
Sorry supposed to say sci fy program
Van Gogh, sobbing still
The saddest moment ever is when Amy says “this is the story of Amelia Pond and this is how it ends”.
Osian Coleman YES OMG
Martha's goodbye... RTD's writing was just brillant "So this is me...getting out"
when Amy and Rory dies was the saddest for me
Josh Williamson You couldn't be more right!
Josh Williamson eh...they got what they wanted and had been moving towards though.
Josh Williamson so true
Josh Williamson I cry everytime when I look out of the window. Because somewhere in time and space, is a raggedy man in a blue box...😭
I cry every time
For me Amy and Rory's exit was the worst. The pains still fresh because Karen Gillan said she'd never come back. And it breaks my heart💔 but love the video💞
I cried my eyes out when I watched it.
I sobbed when she returned for his regeneration. I can’t watch it without crying.
@@Youresoradical for me that was the saddest scene from doctor who idk why I just makes me sob alottt
After Amy and Rory, Donna is easily the best companion the Doctor has ever had. She was his complete equal. Every other companion is somehow beneath him, with the exception of River. Hell Donna literally became a time lord.
James Garrett JamseGarrett
Um rose ? She was also pretty much a equal
I think Donna is as much as aAmy and Rory the best companion and not after them.. Every doctor is defriend so Donna was the best as long we had Tennant and amy and rory for Matt..
Loved Donna, she wasn't wasting time with all the smoochy stuff, she was just brilliant.
Donna was the worst companion I have ever seen in the show, and I have been a fan since 1974. Sarah Jane, Leela, Rose...heck, even Adric was better than Donna and he was ruddy annoying at times.
Loved how Donna’s scene flipped from comedy to tragedy in a few moments
"does it need saying?" When the doctor watches rose kiss the doctor, his heart couldn't have broke anymore. Except that tiny bit short after when he erased Donna's memory. I needed recovery time after that episode
Imagine losing the the girl you love and your best friend in a matter of minutes. The doctor was broken after this
I am glad someone recognised The Girl in the fireplace ending as an emotional scene, and I agree it deserves top spot. One of Moffat's greatest gift to New Who, yet his most under rated.
I like that scene but I don't find it that sad
it hurt my heart
It's the only one that brought a tear to my eye, the others were sad, but the last one just took me off by gard 😢
I cannot believe you didn't include van Gogh at the museum.
I think you should have included when David Tennant goes around saying his goodbyes
Donna begging the Doctor to rescue someone, just one person from Pompeii and her speech defending the Ood.
And the fact the person he saves is Cappaldi
Donna’s last moments in the tardis is one of the saddest moments
It's by far the saddest thing for me
For me, the Van Gogh gallery scene has always made me sob.
Rose's eyes are red,
Tardis is blue.
Since this is the end,
*Rose Tyler, I LO-*
"God speed, my lonely angel!"
Not ashamed to say the first time I saw this scene, I wept....
Because of this show, I cannot cry anymore nor can my feelings be hurt by this. Doctor who you saved the world, and fixed me from pain.
But then again time after time "raggedy man, goodbye" always gets me
That bit is so sad - I was actually hoping to put that in somewhere but couldn't find a good quality clip of it, unfortunately!
DoctorWhoTrailers that's terrible, but I'm glad someone else understand
Try binge watching Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock in two days. That cures you of every emotion ever
Can you tell me what episode is that from i dont seem to remember?
Doomsday? That was surely the most emotional moment in the series.
Not for me, sorry! I know that was really emotional for a lot of people but it didn't really affect me at all. Not sure why, but thanks for the feedback! :)
Dude, that's your opinion.Who cares what any one thinks unless it's positive?Mister donkey over here I mean.
DoctorWhoTrailers mine was leaving Matt Smith's incarnation
LabradorIndependent I don't wanna go
Donna's departure is the number one for me
I think that the 10th doctors last line I dont want to go should be no.1
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't find that bit the saddest but of course that doesn't mean that other people didn't! :)
i always cry on that one
I don't think the circumstances are as "sad" as other moments in the show, but just the fact that it's Tennant's last scene as The Doctor gives it so much more impact, plus the song of the oods and the way the show leads to that scene by making him visit all his companions are absolutely heartbreaking. That's just my opinion. _Vale Decem_
David's "I don't want to go" is sad because his usual line is 'Allon-y". Which means let's go.
The scene in "The wedding of river song" was quite sad. I must watch that one again.
Breaks me EVERY SINGLE TIME
When the master refuses to regenerate... Oh... The pain of being the last again...
Thank god someone agrees with me
“I was going to be with you forever” “I know” “rest of my life travelling in the Tardis”
no no Donna Noble would must be more than 6 position
It should be no 1
Amy's death is the only thing apart from finding dory that can make me cry at will
Poor Martha....she wanted so much for the Doctor to notice her but he was still hurting over Rose.
"You decided that the universe is better without you, but the universe just doesn't agree!"
This, I believe, is a line that everyone would be extremely happy to hear about themselves.
Yes sometimes you miss a lot the first time I missed how Jack became immortal and the joke about him maybe being the face of Boe .
Martha (Freema Agyeman) was perhaps my favorite companion, in retrospect; she was so frank and honest about her romantic love for the Doctor and so perceptive that it would never be returned as she wanted.
Jay Jay
Oh yeah Martha was my favorite for so many reasons and her farewell speech cemented it for me.
face of boe thing is lost in some translations.
Of all places the Doctor could have dumped Rose back on the parallel earth....he chose that fucken beach thats miles and miles away from home......good thinking Doctor, its like Sarah Jane in Aberdeen all over again XD
Its Bad Wolf bay.
She's bad wolf.
It's Bad Wolf Bay. Can't get any better than that. Other than the TARDIS
How the tenth doctor and Wilfred’s scene wasn’t number one is beyond me. He’s such a sweet, wholesome old man and Tennant was the best doctor by far.
Any scene with Matt Smith, David Tennant and Peter Capaldi doing a speech or just being sad in general makes me effing depressed.
Disappointed there is not one clip of the Ninth Doctor in this.:(
Laurel Rockefeller or the Twelfth for that matter
Sorry sorry sorry I love twelve and nine - I honestly just made this video on a day off school in about half an hour with the clips I could find!
"do that for me Rose.. have a fantastic life" would be my no 1
Ninth doctors regeneration broke me
@@Bolty1993 I know, right? Bill realizing she's a Cyberman...
I think that's why I love him so much :(
I do love that you picked “Girl in the Fireplace” for #1 - it was the first episode I ever saw, the episode that made me fall in love with the Doctor.
Wilfred Mott (and the actor Bernard Cribbins) are AMAZING.
For me, the most emotional Doctor Who scene I've ever witnessed is Twelve's Speech about War in "The Zygon Incursion"
Aw man the second is so emotional. I completely forgot about it until now. I love the 11th Doctor and River Song relationship. This is love.
Where was doomsday Rose Tyler..... Or when ten goes to visit rose in the past.
Ethan Ethan EthanEthan
The doctor leaving rose with his human self is so heartbreaking, he saw the life he could never have. But he also saw the life he knew Rose deserved.
WHY do I ALWAYS CLICK ON THINGS THAT BRING ME DEEP, DEEP PAIN?
STOP. No. This show has made me cry more than any other show EVER.
Guess who’s gonna re watch these and freaking cry all over again
Amy and Rory's death was the most emotional scene for me cuz they was and always will be one of my favorite companions!!!!! They and Clara is my favorite companions!!!!!!! 😭😭😭
Victor Peterson Clearly have never watched the 10th ;)
Victor Peterson Lol same for me Altho I love Bill
Proxy Rose and Donna are the most annoying companions ever.
Omg Amy and Rory were the best companions ever!! I cried so hard when they left. I know they died peacefully but me just knowing that I would never see them again, it just shocked me so much. I was so sad.
"I said 'get out', so this is me, getting out" I love this
She was the only one brave enough to walk away. Despite being in love.
Donna losing her memory i thinks number 1 and Rose being separated from the Doctor number 2.
