- Thousands of people are already fleeing their homes, taking to their cars, packing onto trains and even walking on foot, carrying their possessions with them as the UN warned that the war could force as many as four million people to seek refuge abroad.

Poland never fails to amaze me. I visited there once and they were so welcoming. So grateful that many from Ukraine are able to count on them for help, and that the Poles stepped up. If anyone can understand what the Ukraines are going through, it's them, for sure.
The eyes of the world are on Ukraine. The fact that the people that had already made it to safety are going back shows such bravery. Hope this invasion/aggression on Ukraine stops soon.

I'm Polish and I live about 120km from Ukrainian border. I'm proud of my countrymen. Today I gave some children wears, shoes and another things for Ukrainian refugees. I will help them untill they need. God bless Ukraine and stop The war!

That conflict start in 2014, but now they are more agresive and they atacted also buildings of normal people. And people from other countries were on the borders with belarus which is country who supporting Russian agresion and also they atacted polish borders. Poland was the first one to help with putting out the huge forest fires in Sweden in 2018. Last year, Polish firefights were helping to fight horrible forest fires in Greece and Turkey. Poland is one the few nations in Europe that understands deeply the situation in Ukraine because they experienced this themselves being partitioned by the Russian Empire in the XVIII century, waging wars with Bolsheviks in 1919-1920, and being invaded by Soviets on September 17th 1939 where half of the country was taken by Soviets, just a couple of weeks after Hitler invaded Poland. Poles are providing humanitarian aid to Ukrainians and will continue to do so as much as they can - I can assure of that. You wonder why? Like Ukrainians, Poles are Christians, Slavs, Europeans , descendants of the Great Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. God Bless Ukraine, God Bless Poland.

I am very proud of my polish people, just to give you numbers, in only Cracov they have gathered just the first day 60 tons of basic necessities like pads, food, pillows, etc to transport to the borders for refugees. In the biggest mall i work at in Cracov, called Auchan (french) all pads, pillows, instant soups, canned food were completely wiped out. Poles are really helping its an enormous initiative and gives me hope for humanity.

I'm not a fan of letting millions of "economic migrants" to flood Europe, i'd rather they prospered in their own countries. But many have moved to Europe due to war. Witam, jeszcze nigdy nie widziałam tak ogromnego poruszenia w społeczeństwie jakie mamy teraz. Jest ogromna determinacja i organizacja dosłownie wszędzie różnych zbiórek żywności, środków higiennicznych, odzieży itd. Ludzie wzajemnie się wspierają, planują przyjmować kolejnych potrzebujących, wyjeżdżają na granice swoimi samochodami by móc jak najwięcej od siebie dać. Równocześnie jesteśmy przerażeni skalą i ilością zniszczeń za naszą sąsiednią granicą. Nie możemy uwierzyć, że dzieje się to na naszych oczach😭😭

My heart goes out to the brave people of Ukraine fighting for freedom.
It makes me emotional that many families had to leave their homes, sanctuary, and places they’ve lived for years. While there are people waiting with open arms to take them in as human beings protecting each other. Seeing the families reunite when other families probably couldn’t experience that.
Whilst I understand that Channel 4 News needs to adhere to broadcasting regulations and beep out foul language, I feel that if the Ukrainians can face aggression in the form of missiles, bullets and bombs, we too can damn well put up with hearing the lady describing the Russian claims of 'liberating Ukraine' as 'fucking bullshit' (or words that she actually said that reflect that sentiment)!!
These Ukrainians don't realize that they will have to do the work, Russia is not going to run the country. It will disarm the military and install a goverment that watches over the rights of the Russian speaking population. Ukrainians should see this as a chance.

Bulgaria's borders are also open to Ukrainian citizens, their families and pets. There are Facebook groups where you can find information about people who can provide transport and shelter. Poland man get a bad rep sometimes but throughout european history they have always come to help big up the polish people for real never get enough credit . As a brit im pretty disgusted we are being scared away from helping due to economic reason a few financial sanctions wont deter the russians . we bowled into the middle east without a second thought this is a far more worthy use of our resources and armed forces.
