@@Notium If the world flooded then all freshwater bodies would have become salinated. So how did he save all the freshwater fish? Aquarium tanks, electric filtration, and water distillation? I'd also like to know how he would have kept all those animals fed. Lions can eat extra lambs, sure, but what do the lambs eat? TBH the story sounds a little bit implausible.

What i used to do in Rollercoaster Tycoon was having free entry and checking how much money people about to enter the park had, then changing the entry price to that amount of money, and for some reason they never refuse to pay for the entry once they are walking towards the gate, and if you do it fast and then go back to free entry you don't get the malus for having an expensive admission.
This map looked like my friends' plate in a buffet restaurant.

Time for me to nerd out. If anyone wants to know why there are lines of animals for each player that T90 mentioned at 7:30, it's like this. When there is a herdable on the map you don't own, and you convert it to yours, it will cause a chain reaction to other herdables if they are close enough to eachother and they are still belonging to gaia. So at the start, some players had a unit close enough to start that chain in a line across the map.

The problem with nothing nothing is that there are no resources and no villagers, so it's just 8 TCs in an empty map and the winner is the last one to click resign.

I feel a modification of forest nothing that has a randomly generated elevation map would add more tactical flair to it.

I read the title, had a mental image of what this would be, laughed, clicked on it and saw it was exactly what I thought and laughed even harder
The rollercoaster tycoon story sounds like something Vinesauce Joel would do.
This is what we needed
I don't know if it'd be possible, but I had a thought I want to see: a mode where you get a bunch of kings and queens, a queen of villagers, king of infantry, etc, and when one dies you don't lose, you just can't make units of that class/group anymore. Snipes would disable people in different ways, but they might still be able to hobble their way to victory, and have a bunch of units to make sure to keep an eye on (maybe not caring as much about some, but they'd want them if their more favored units were disabled). Of course already made units stay, so if you can't make villagers, better keep them alive.

The best part about T90's Roller Coaster Tycoon Story is that its actually a really terrible and inefficient way to make money. the REAL trick is to charge 20 bucks for Umbrellas and make nothing but Power Launched Corkscrew coasters that are just two station platforms and a single half corkscrew. You can charge like 4 bucks for the coaster and guests will love it.

42:30 You could always go with hero names from the other AoE games and AoM if you ever do run out of AoE2 heroes. It would be funny seeing Arkantos vs Morgan Black or something like that.
To use monks, go only monks and press idle military then click the enemies so that you can convert them all.
Snippy could actualy make it so both have to be killed in order to be defeated cause you can do that by adding more conditions in the same switch with just one effect, the effect being that the player gets defeated.

This is funny, my last map I made, I made my own version of everything nothing, but I dont have everything so blocked up, it is spaced out and there is plenty of space to move. I have every land, water, and forest terrain including type on my map. I have every animal, including penguins which I didnt know you collect them and they become like military. I had all different cow and horses, had camels, I had mountains. I called my map greatest chaos of chaos which is even more befitting since I ddnt know about how the penguins are, in which I have so many penguins now that I will probably make that my army, hence emphasizing the chaos. This everything nothing is too much for me too. Not to be egotistical, but I like the one I made more especially because it looks so crazy too with the different land, forest, and water terrain types mixed in between each other.
In Roller coaster I'd always do those roller coasters that would kill people by making two cars crash into each other. One would try to go up a hill, but fail due to not enough momentum and would end up going backwards, inevitably crashing into the car coming up behind. I loved to see people get scared of that "accident", throw away their food and run towards the exit! LOL
4:20 regicide but with two "kings"... and garrisoning them in the same tc/castle could give a bonus. so you there is a risk/reward in having them separate or together, depnding. it could be like a slow trickle of gold like a relic... or the real idea i had was to garrison the queen and king in a TC and have the TC never stop producing vills LOL 1 + 1 = 3 ? 😀

Clearly the queen should allow you to produce Kings from castles, to grant bonus relics and troll foes into king rushing you.

I heard or read a story somewhere I think about rollercoaster tycoon, but I'm not sure. They said they would set up a deadly coaster but the coaster flies into their rival's park. Since the guests died in over there, the rival's park's rating went down and more guests come to the storyteller's park instead of the rival's.
Today this video became 5 months old and it was chilling in my watch later folder.
Today is the day...where I watch it.
I liked the in game chat, made the slow early crawl worth watching to the end, along with the mass flattening of all things not stone, bush or metal. Seemed like Hera didn't want to go middle and extend the game, but prolly didn't expect someone else wouldn't make it either. And the hero Chu bleeding from the spleen to win.
When I came to the stream and saw this game I was like wtf is that and immediately quit. Now let's watch it on YT

Id say we do a Diplomacy nothing. 8 players start with only 1 resource each (one person is all gold, 1 person is all stone, one person is all wood, 1 person is all food etc and they have to race to the middle by trading resources with each other (disable the market and farms XD)

Archer/siege/stable/castle/monk nothings where there is just one single type of offensive building or unit that can be created in the whole game.
Militia nothing
Ram nothing
Hand cannoneer nothing
Longbow without ballistics nothing
Monk nothing
I'm glad that I got to see Forest Nothing, because that's something I wondered about from time to time, so it was fun to see my theories put to the test. :)

New map: Everything or Nothing. It's Arabia but everyone starts with a cobra car named "James Bond's Car".
Whats next? Nothing Nothing? It is possible to do a Nothing Nothing map of no resources imo. But it would be dependent on how much starting resources you have and how you want the market to work for conversion of resources as well as other things (farms and fish traps usually convert low amount of wood into a high amount of food, for instance). Also it might also double dip as a Trade Nothing due to the only resources you could generate out of then air is gold from trading with other players. There could be more ways of generating or converting resources but this is off the top of my head. As always, amazing gameplay!

I tried making T90 nothing. It was glorious. Islands, but forest nothing, 8 neutral islands that had 3 archery ranges on it, then I gave up when I had to fill the entire ocean with salmon
Aztecs would be great for 2 reasons:
~ Relic bonus (as T90 said)
~ villagers carry +5 resources. With so many animals running around there is a lot of congestion.

City Nothing - map full of houses -> each player starts with villagers -> have to destroy houses and build other buildings in their part of town. Sort of like Gangs of New York or something :P

Just came back here to say that this was played before the world knew about everything that 2020 would turn into nothing.
I really wish some other genres of games had crazy maps like this, and actual pro players playing them.
When you think about it this is the easiest “nothing” map for AI to understand, because on most difficulties they won’t use a market or even advance to feudal within half an hour, which means by the time you find them they are still chopping trees

There was a place in Mexico I visited that did your roller coaster Tycoon strategy in real life. Except they were charging people for toilet paper rather than the bathroom itself. Instead of roller coasters there was alligators and strippers.

Is there a place to download the rms for this? I found an "Everything Nothing" by SnippyInDaHouse on AoE2Map.net but the file seems corrupted. A bunch of gibberish in the file and loads an empty grass world instead. I really want to see this monstrosity for myself in game! Hope someone knows where I can get it!

I think this is one situation in which 256x mod makes the game *more* sane.
This map looked like some 10 year old found out the map creation tool and just put whatever in a square.

Queen should be able to make a new king, when old one is dead... so it's like - you loose king and you still have queen, then you're not out of the game yet, you get new king in a minute. If you loose queen, but still have king, then that's your last king, after that you're dead.
OMG... Tatoh needs to solo speed run everything nothing all resources gathered...
