I really enjoyed you discovering Costco.. I worked as a pharmacy Tech at Costco for 23 years. Retired now for 13 years. The years working, don't remember them having any organic items. Even after retirement , started to notice a few items and year by year since has really grown with Organic options. Its was a great company to work for. They are top notch with their marketing and really do listen to the customers.
Saw this video as I was heading out to Costco! Perfect timing! And wild blueberries can’t be labeled organic, technically, because they aren’t cultivated. But they test them for pesticide residue to ensure neighboring farms haven’t contaminated them.
Hi Erin and family! I live in Florida in a city called Wesley Chapel we have organic wild blueberries at our target they are decently priced for about $10 a bag! Worth a look!@@EatMoveRest
I did want to add that if you don’t find the things you want, you can usually talk to someone behind the manager desk or leave a “comment card” and they will start to carry it. In Oregon they had an organic Kirkland (Costco brand) mixed nut butter that was amazing, but in Phoenix they didn’t carry it…I made the request and now they carry it. Our store also has lots of organic berries and fruit (even organic honey crisp, my favorite too), so I know it’s an option that they may start to stock if they know it’s important to their customers. Oh, and they will also change what they carry seasonally.
I love Costco! Their organic selection is great. So glad you guys joined and did a haul for us. Whole Foods always has the specialty items and things I don't need in bulk but Costco is so great for organic staples and their prices can't be beat!
LOVE this thumbnail and LOVE the video! Costco rocks and so do you guys. Thank you for the information and for sharing. Have a blessed day. Grateful for you guys!!! :)
Thank you guys for all the tips, it was really helpful😊 I loved seeing you having fun, even in Costco❤ would be so happy to see a Sprout Farmers Market haul as well. (...ohh i just love your videos so much, thank you🥰)
I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic, I decided to go whole food,,8mth later dr took me off insulin, thank you for pointing out that we read the back of the package..I also recently found a app..called 🥕 "carrots..not everything that says healthy, organic..is good for you..this app scans the product and inform you of the ingredients..I love it
So glad you joined Costco. You will save a ton. LOVE Costco and I buy all the things you’ve featured. It’s my main grocery shopping store. It’s scary at check out because it’s mostly bulk shopping but will last a while and excellent quality. Love this haul! ❤🙌👍
I shop Costco organic- Their Wymans wildbluberries are the best…. For value…. They have them there….. these dates are GREAT they stay soft in the container - their apples are good and sweet but we have not had good luck with fresh mango…. I had a mango tree when I lived in FL and those were the best 😊. Lemons are a good value as well as avocados. Happy shopping!
There is going to be a new, huge Costco opening up near me next month. We asked to go thru a Costco in another town and they allowed us to. We were so nicely surprised, just like you were, at all the organic products! We already signed up as members and can't wait to shop at our new Costco!! Thank you for showing me other organic finds that I will be looking for!
I miss Costco since moving to Peru. It's sad because we don't have a clue what's organic after seeing so many farmers spray their crops here. Im trying to make connections with locals so we can purchase their homegrown fruit and veg. What I've learnt is that we MUST eat seasonal and we are meat eaters so its nice to be able to buy good quality meat from local farmers and also raw milk has been such a luxury.
Love me some Costco! We also buy the organic raisins and pretzel crisps. Our Costco is always crawling with people! What time of day did you go?! It didn’t look very busy! That’s the first thing I noticed 😆
I love Costco. Get the coconut water in the refrigerator. I love their frozen fruit, fresh fruit and veggies, maple syrup, Dave’s Killer Bread, sprouted oats etc. Etc
Great video. I love seeing you both happy about saving money shopping there. Ithink i will join Costco for the frozen friuts and other organics now thanks to you both. You look so pretty Erin. Very excitted fir you all to have a new precious family member. ❤
So glad I found your channel!! ❤ I used to make similar content but have fallen off the wagon 😅 My intention was (and still is) to show people that you can eat plant based/vegan fairly affordable, and it’s doable for the entire family. Home is Hawaii where the cost of living (and food) is very expensive, but when we switched from an omnivorous diet to a vegan diet, our grocery bill decreased tremendously. Thanks for making this video! The Medjool dates from Costco are a great snack to keep in the car 😊 Nothing beats fresh, but these ones are pretty good!! Aloha & blessings 💕
I purchase most everything you have highlighted at Costco. Don’t be hesitant on buying that big bag of organic carrots; they keep forever (we keep the extra in a second fridge). Thanks for this Costco haul … my nearest Costco is an hour away, but we make the trip due to the great selection of organic and plant diet friendly products. Gas is always the cheapest also! ⛽️
I used to get the Costco wild blueberries for the antioxidants but then I tasted the regular organic frozen Kirkland ones- seriously so much sweeter and better tasting. I just eat more of those lol.
We literally get all these things! Except for the cereal. We have bought a cereal but we love these oats!!!! Love this video! Also, my youngest son screams with joy when we get sunwarrior vanilla protein powder. Love you guys!!! ~Julia
My dad added me to his costo account years ago, and I don’t ever go to Costco. I have been missing out. We’re a family of 4 and I am very happy that you shared all your vegan finds. I can’t wait to go now! Thanks so much!🌱❤️
I’m so glad you guys finally got a Costco membership! You’re going to save so much money since it has almost as much quality food as Whole Foods….but in bulk 🙂
Costco might have more organic produce in the Spring. Also, if you live close to a Costco Business Center, they might have more options there. The business center tend to have more “bulky” items and they open way earlier (usually 7am) than a normal Costco. You don’t need a business membership to shop there, you can use your basic membership card. I go there when I want to shop earlier, and for specific things like packs of gallon waters, or other things regular Costcos don’t have.
I unpack them and place them in a glass Pyrex with a lid and keep in the refrigerator! I also sometimes pit a few to keep in the freezer…it makes them some delicious and chewy to snack on!!
I love the organic dates from Costco! And the organic snack apples for my kids with peanut butter is a staple snack. Also, the organic sprouted oats. You can find a unsweetened, non-vanilla soy milk, but my local costco doesn't carry it either.
I am so surprised that you don't make your own hummus - especially since you make your beans from dried! Oil-free hummus: chickpeas + water + seasonings. So simple! And you've got an excellent blender, so you should be set! Hummus is way over-priced. And the cool thing is that you can make it and freeze any extras. And a great dessert and kid-pleaser? Chocolate hummus! Just add Medjools and cacao powder! Deeeelish!
We love Costco! ❤️ If you're worried about sugar, Dave's Killer is one of the highest sugared breads. Costco does have some awesome bread options with no added sugar though! Different states/areas have different items though. We get the Seattle Waterfront brand and a cracked what sourdough.
Thanks for the healthy tour of Costco!!! Very interesting and helpful!!! U help my whole food plant based vegan journey, focusing on kidney health, easy and more encouraging to do!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Thank you Erin and Dusty for doing this Costco grocery haul. My husband and I go to Costco all the time and you guys are showing me some things, that I didn’t know Costco had. 😊 I can’t wait for you guys Sprouts market grocery haul. Also, thanks for the EWG list tip, I will definitely check it out. 🙏🏾 I love shopping at Sprouts, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. 🙂💜
I buy my dates from Costco. They are usually very fresh and they show the date they were packaged. I have gotten dried out ones before, but it is rare.
Love Costco. Enjoyed your presentation.I am 65 and trying to live healthier after a health scare. Disappointed with sprouts. You have a healthy looking happy family. Cannot imagine we ate margarine back in the day.
Could you do a video on the oral health recipes as the toothpaste you talked about and the oil pulling. It will be helpful for me and may help another as well. Please and thank you
You guys should make your own hummus! It’s so easy and way tastier than store bought. Plus, you know exactly what’s in it. Once I started making my own, I never looked back!
I get my bulk shelf stable things from Costco since it’s just me. Otherwise it’ll go to waste. I share the membership with my family. I get my fruit strictly from Whole Foods. Their fruit is the best tasting. Especially the bananas!!
Loved this! Have always wondered about getting a membership there. The ONLY thing is I wish y’all showed all the prices 😊 esp the frozen organic fruits! Appreciate this video though ❤
It's depends which Costco like we have 2 in town and they vary a little bit I have found organic blueberries at mine so def keep looking they change up often
I loved seeing what y’all found at your Costco! We just got a membership this year and came to the same conclusion as you guys: great affordable organic products but lacking in the fresh produce, especially fruit. But still worth the membership for the smoothies alone.
It’s nice to see you all shopping at Costco and buying the same stuff I’ve been buying for years. I’m kind of jealous! My Costco doesn’t have organic almond butter, just the regular almond butter. I guess that’s Florida vs Kansas City.😆
Happy New year guys, I have a quick question for Erin if that's OK? I'm wondering if you have difficulty finding a nail salon that uses vegan and cruelty free products in the States? I live in Ireland, specifically Dublin and I really struggle with this, the nail techs look at me like I have five heads when I ask them, how did you find somewhere? Did you stumble across a salon or did you have to intentionally research and phone places? Thanks a million and can't wait to meet the new baby xxx❤
Creatine is great for both men and women!! And you are glowing!! Love Costco..we have to drive a half hour to get to ours but out of all the big box clubs they have the most organic..My club stopped carrying the organic cherries..I can get them at BJs but they are $5 more per bag!! Eden and Westsoy are the only premade plant milks I will use..Elmhurst is another good brand and malk
This was all great. I am surprised you don't make your own hummus. So easy, and Be A Plant Based Warrior by Ann and Jane Esselstyn has amazing EASY recipes. Excellent Haul!
Loved this video!! Plus love when you shared how much things were per pound or item. Wow I didn’t realize Costco was a place for deals. I only thought it was for bulk items.
YESS, I totally agree about the frozen fruit. That's what won me over years ago when I realized I got back the value of the membership in 2 months of how much frozen fruit I would have spent at Sprouts. Also, the mixed fruit bags don't taste as good to me as buying one type of fruit separately.
Great video and if you are a single person get a freezer and keep all those big bags of nuts, seeds and oates in there to keep them fresh. They will still be fresh well past there expiration date.
3:04 😮😮😮 Omg!!! I did not know this. I can't believe it. Thank you for sharing this fact that even if it's organic, it can still have traces of glyphosates 😢😢
Sending you all love! So happy to hear you found Costco. I bet it’s the one we used to go to every week! We would still be in Florida if it weren’t for all the mold. We searched and searched for a home that wasn’t moldy, without any luck. Missing the rays and tropical energy.
Love Costco. Can’t get everything there re:fresh stuff, but still do quite well there. I recently got organic red lentil pasta and organic dried yellow mung beans. Their organic quinoa is pre washed making it suitable to grinding for baked goods. We regularly get big bags of fresh organic green beans and asparagus. They have multiple varieties of organic mushrooms. I hope they keep increasing organic produce! Still no organic tomatoes, potatoes or sweet potatoes at our Costco. Most of the year they have organic berries. They used to have fresh organic ginger and turmeric …. Costco- if you are reading this- bring those back! One thing to be aware of is that a few frozen items are organic but from China. (Edamame, broccoli) I don’t necessarily trust that those are actually organic and I prefer food from closer sources from an environmental/energy/pollution point of view.
We are going to be getting a Costco in our town soon, so I appreciate seeing what I can get there that is organic & plant based. Wondering if it will be worth the membership fee for just one person? (husband won't go vegan) Also, watch out for eating chia seeds (& flax seeds) raw - they expand in your system 27 times (I read that somewhere) & it is best to soak them before consuming as they can cause a blockage in your digestive system - a little goes a long way!
So inspiring to see what USA Costco stocks. Western Australian Costco has about 1/8th of that range of organic 😔....but still makes it worth a membership.
I can’t believe y’all are this late to the Costco game! I hope you know about all the cheap organic vegan WFPB finds at Trader Joe’s! It’s worth multiple stops to save $$. Example: their organic boxed soy milk is the 2 ingredient one for $2.99! I hope you explore it too! I love Whole Foods but I ONLY buy their what I can’t get at these other more affordable stores.
I use the TJ Soy Milk ($2.49 here in California) for soy yogurt. My preferred is EdenSoy, but it is over $4 in most places - just scored for $3.69 at Loma Linda Market. Sometimes I mix the two. TJ frozen berries are cheaper too. They have organic and wild blueberries.
It is a refined sugar with no health benefit. It has been stripped of its beneficial nutrients. You’re best to avoid refined sugar and opt instead for whole food sources that are unrefined. Plenty of sugar in fruit! And for cooking and baking you can sweeten with dates!
Hope this is helpful! Want to see a Sprouts haul next??
This was great and super helpful! A Sprouts haul would be good to see as well. Would you also consider a Trader Joe’s haul as well?
Definitely!
Great great vlog. We just joined Costco. So much to look forward to Thanks 🙏 so much for the tour.
Yes to Sprouts!!! 🙌🏼
Yesss
17 years vegan, and Costco has been a part of our lives forever. As a family of 5… life saver.

We have organic labeled wild blueberries in our Costco in Canada.
Wonder where to find the results? We get organic wild blueberries from Whole Foods…
Hi Erin and family! I live in Florida in a city called Wesley Chapel we have organic wild blueberries at our target they are decently priced for about $10 a bag! Worth a look!@@EatMoveRest

@@EatMoveRest theres several varieties of dates, which one would you recommend? Thanks!

Organic Vegan Costco haul!!! YES!

We do have a recipe and used to make it regularly, just got out of the habit bc we use much less of it lately!
If you do use canned beans, the chickpea water word so well.
@@EatMoveRest Ah, gotcha. : )
@@catherinekasmer9905 Oh, smart! I usually make my own beans from dried, but the same principle would apply. Thanks for the idea!

lol I told Dusty let’s not buy Dave’s we almost never do, we usually get Ezekiel. 🤦♀️😂
This is awesome- I find Costco overwhelming it’s to crowded but it’s nice to see the options
They have big packs of organic seaweed too
Thanks for the healthy tour of Costco!!! Very interesting and helpful!!! U help my whole food plant based vegan journey, focusing on kidney health, easy and more encouraging to do!!!💞💞🙃💞💞

Love Costco. Can’t get everything there re:fresh stuff, but still do quite well there. I recently got organic red lentil pasta and organic dried yellow mung beans. Sooo..just a little tip..I buy the big bag of organic carrots and chop them up and freeze them..the bag,I think is around 3$..cheap organic veg

Please share where your checkers pendant/choker is from! It is very pretty.
Will have to join Costco down here
Love Costco!
Please tell me why you don’t like cane sugar. That’s what I use and I’ve never heard anything bad about it so I need to know.😊
Look up the effects of cane sugar , also the similarities of cane sugar and cocaine in the body
@@brittneegirl 😮 ok, thank you
It is a refined sugar with no health benefit. It has been stripped of its beneficial nutrients. You’re best to avoid refined sugar and opt instead for whole food sources that are unrefined. Plenty of sugar in fruit! And for cooking and baking you can sweeten with dates!
Coconut Sugar is also a good alternative. You can use it in baking as the same amount swapped for your cane sugar.
@@EatMoveRest I use raw cane sugar. and not very often a bag will last me a good year I’ll definitely look into the coconut sugar
Oil free hummus is hard to find, but it is out there, or you can make your own (chickpeas, tahini and lemon juice?)
