Hi, Can we expect the a320 to fly the VOR course in NAV once we have entered the freq and course in the mcdu? Or do we need to manually adjust the heading to intercept the course of the VOR?
You need to manually adjust the heading, or you can use the TRK/FPA mode to maintain the required track irrespective of the crosswind component. The 320 will follow in NAV mode only the route that has been fed in the MCDU, you can alternatively use Place/Bearing/Distanve method of placing a waypoint in the mcdu to proceed direct to a radial at a given distance
This is a wonderful presentation. VOR refresher and A320 instruction at the same time. Well Done!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Let’s say I need to track radial outbound from a VOR , would you enter the reciprocal since it’s only CRS you can select on RMP ?
Great video, are you using Microsoft Flight simulator to simulate?
Subscribing blinding. Thank you.
