- These sell so well at my art and craft shows during the holiday season, starting in October really. Watch how I recycled and upcycled the fence boards from a summer house project, and a bunch of crushed glass, to make these cute and abstract little Christmas trees!
Here is the video on how easy it is to crush wine and beer bottles for this project. It’s best to drink the contents first, either yourself or with a friend!

They are all just beautiful! Never seen anything like this and finding it mesmerizing. So unique! Thanks for sharing
Thank you! Cheers!
I agree! They are unique and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
love love love this
Would like to see them in an upright position to determine if more resin is needed to hold glass.
I’ll show that in an upcoming video! I actually whack them on the table to show you how well the resin holds them
How do you not get lots of little cuts on your fingers and hands? these are adorable! I was thinking all those wine bottles had corks, a cork cut in half lengthwise would make a good tree trunk too.
believe it or. to, it’s not sharpe!
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job!
Thanks!
Hello from Maine!! What are the appropriate measurements of the wooden bases that you’re putting the glass trees on? I’m also wondering if you would mind sharing what you charge for these beautiful tress at the craft fairs in your area? They are all beautiful Edwiga!! Congratulations on your sales!!!!! So happy for you that you’re selling out at every shoe!!! Way to go!!!!!!
Thank you! These are made from 6” wide fencing boards, and are about 14-16 inches tall. I charge $20 for these smaller ones, and sometimes make a larger one, with two boards nailed together, for a bit more. Give it a try!
I see you have multiple types of resin how do you choose what resin it is you want to use ro each project, resin is new to me i have never used it. I guess with the trunks you could use different size tree sticks and twigs
This video was a while back, but I think I was desperate to make a bunch at once for a show coming up that weekend, so I just used what I had on hand! I prefer a fast set, like KS Resin Liquidy Split.
These are so cool! How much do you sell them for? Are you near Tampa? Our son lives in Tampa and we visit once or twice a year.
thanks! These sell for $20-30
Do you just add a hanger to the back? Also, do you seal the wood? Thank you. They are beautiful.
I do add a hanger to the back. I may not have shown that in this video! Still learning….so many details! I have not sealed the wood in any way but I’m sure you could if you wanted to. It darkens the wood somewhat though, and I love the natural look of it, if that makes sense?
So pretty. Have you tried making a flocking tree? TFS
What is a flocking tree?
Hey there!! Totally love all of them!! Do you seal your wood? I heard it helps to not allow wood to soak up the resin(?)
I’ve thought about sealing the wood before pouring the resin, which would help.
Love these, new subscriber here! May I ask what type of Modge Podge you use and also the type of Resin as well? Modge Podge comes in many styles, etc. TYIA
Welcome! I use Mod Podge Matte, in the yellow bottle. amazing how many types ther are!The resin is KSResin Liquidy Split, and I have a link in the description!
I love this, l have watched both of your tutorials on this, are you saying now not to use mod podge, and just the resin?, what resin do you buy, l am on the website and they have two different types not sure what to order 🤔, I have a small booth, l am only making 4😊, thank you for sharing your gifts 😊😊
KS Resin Liquidy Split. I think they have a UV version too, but I do. it use that one.
on the second video, I did NOT use Mod Podge. Only resin. I am finding that if you use resin, you don’t really need the Mod Podge. I am planning on doing a comparison in depth to see the differences.
@@ACoastalMagnolia thank you 😊, because I am doing 4 trees, do you think 8 oz would be enough resin, there small 6x10 soze
That’s plenty. 1 ounce is 30 mL, and I used about 20 mL per tree.
Wondering if instead of resin, could one use polyacrylic type sealer? I all dries clear and shiny...
hmm, maybe so, but I wonder how well it would secure the glass? Try it and let me know!
I'm not sure if it was this video or one of your other tree ones. It sounded like you said sonething about luquid stone?
Liquid Stone is a KS Resin that I sometimes use. it’s beautiful!
How do you crush the glass? I love what you're doing. I'm also in FL. We're in the panhandle near Pensacola.
Hey, thanks! I’m east coast. I have a simple video up if you want to check it out. Its really so easy!

How long does it take to collect your glass when you first started? I’m also in Florida, Gulf coast, Weeki Wachee area.
I’ve been saving them for about 6 months, and I promise I did not drink them all! Well, the blue bottles I did because that’s my favorite Reisling, Landshut. Those bottles are 🔥🔥🔥
How do you smash it
here is a quick video!
