I LOVE THESE!! And they are so much easier than Id have thought them to be! I made a tree in a pic frame out of broken watch faces I got at a flea market or yard sale forever ago, however I went through all the trouble of carefully glueing a peice of drop cloth inside the pic frame bc I NEVER thought the watches would stay put if I glued them to the glass!! And Id have never thought of silicone or liquid nails! Thanks for this! If you ever see this comment, is it better to use store bought glas or can you break items to make your own?
So you can use store-bought or you can break it your self store-bought glass whether it’s from Amazon or Michaels or hobby lobby has a tendency not to be sharp so you can use it as is glass that you break up. Your cell is sharp and you can use it like that if you choose, but it is in your best interest to get the sharp edges off. You can do that by tumbling it for a couple hours with just water in the Tumblr. You can use a little sanding block and send the points off, but the edges will still be sharp or you could use a Stainglass grinder and do all the edges with that to take the sharp edges off.
They are absolutely beautiful ! Thank you for showing these. I’m going to trying to make a some. Happened you have a Blessed Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year ! 💚❤️🎄

I’m confused so you glued watch faces to a drop cloths and then put it on glass?
