Hi Varun, I'm must share my heart felt gratitude for bringing the positive side of Anglo Indians in social media. I am Beverly Pacheco one of the handful anglo Indian still residing in Chennai. May God bless you in all your endeavours😊
I am 65 year old, I used to have lots of Anglo friends, we used to frequent Binny Club in Perambur, they had no bias, moved freely with any community people, great race, we have to trace them in Australia or UK, I miss them a lot

சூப்பர் talk ஷோ நைனா. Amazing details on Anglo Indians. Chennai had always been Multi cultural crowd. We grew up along with them even without being aware of. Great days
Superb ! I grew up in Madras where I went to St. Bede's Anglo-Indian School, right next to the Santhome Church. Your confabulations brought a flood of memories. I enjoyed every bit. Wish we could live those days again. Thanks for the presentation. Raj Sunder
In Perambur we had lot of Anglo Indians. We use to play cricket. In RBBC ground. Perambur had two big churches. Siruvallur street in full of Anglo Indians. Around Lourdes school many Anglo Indians were there. Now things have changed. But still see a few around these areas
my father had lots of Anglo Indian friends ,his culture is purely western ,at a time they pursued him to move to Australia and be hockey coach . most of them moved out of india in 80s itself.
Varun bro...nice light hearted detour from your usual serious videos. Didn't expect this collaboration with Sriram Sir. Love both of you. Keep surprising us like this with more unique guests.

St. Thomas Mount, Periamet, Perambur and Vepery-Maddox Street, salai street, all were Ango Indian community. On the boxing day, we really do have boxing on the street. Early morning at 6am the beef man comes with bicycle shouting BEEF MA. Opposite to Veterinary there's a roman Catholic Church, it's meeting place dancing and card playing. Till the year 2008 few Anglo Indian families were still living at Maddox Street and Salai. I was born in that area and everybody spoke English. Wonderful people.
I had a English Anglo Indian friend in my childhood. His name is andrew and he has a sister pansy. We used to fly kite together. They were very fair and it was like seeing a pucca English girl as seen in English films. But his father had a big moustache and he used to wear lungi and talk nicely with me. They used to eat a lot of. Cakes and chocolates and when I enter his house there will be a please t scent smell. Everyday this person and his wife will fight and both andrew and pansy would come out and play with us. I don't know how I lost touch and they were no more to be seen and in the house where they lived, there stands a huge flat now. When I asked my father, where they are, he told they went to some foreign country.
It is sad to know after independence lack of knowledge hammered to help them by providing reservation quota in jobs and education for those who are not given. If India is for all , treat the citizens equally. They should not be biased.
Anglo Indians were very generous. Most of them had female servants and called them AAYA. On Sundays, when they go to barber shop, they tip them well. One of my uncles have adopted an Anglo Indian girl (I called her akka). there were number of Anglo Indian schools around vepery area. They always dressed well. their famous food is coconut rice and minced ball curry.
Sir,we need more information about Anglo Indian Chennai community. Their food style? Areas in Chennai where they densely live? Their business? Famous Anglo Indians of Chennai? Socio-political Anglo Indian moments of Chennai? Finally why they left India?
You have forgotten to tell about the Anglo Indian community of Villipuram . Most of the Anglo Indians men worked in the Villupuram railway junction. After the Independance some of them moved to Pondicherry to work in Pondicherry Govt offices as well as in private schools. Most of them loved sports and misic. Well dressed be it a man or women. Yes we miss this community in Madras and in other places. Most of them moved to Australia.

Brahmin history telling apart, St Thomas came 20 centuries ago, much before even brahminism came
I seriously don't understand this tendency to say "we came here first, we were here first". We are all here now and move forward.
