Ok so I did it! I kept thinking about this video. I knew today I would get off about an hour eariler than my wife I found pork chops on sale and got a package. And I picked up a bag of potatoes and some canned milk fresh green beans. Now let me admit I know how to cook. My wife said I can throw down but I cook what I grew up on in South Georgia. Anyway I did just what you did and I must admit it was awesome. Even my whop biscuits we're good. You know whop biscuits you whop em on the corner of the kitchen counter to get em open. I fixed two plates and my wife started in on me how did you did this how did you make that it's so good omg the chops are so tender she went on and on. Needless to say im gonna put some Barry white music on tonight I may just may get lucky. I sure hope your man puts some Barry white music on for you Ms Chris. This meal is Barry worthy!

I clicked on this for the biscuits and got surprised with the pork steaks! Your recipe was the easiest I have seen and the most delicious looking. I love to watch your videos. You show people how things are done in the kitchen with real ingredients. I like how you made the gravy with the flour and water. My mom always did too. I was very surprised to know how many people can't make a gravy. They just buy a gravy packet. I grew up with homemade gravy. Best stuff ever!!

You are an excellent cook, NO Doubt!!!! Thank you for this delicious recipe. I wanted to say that if we make our roux (pronounced roo) or "gravy water" as you call it with cold water, you'll be less likely to have lumps. Warm water will make your roux lumpy.
Keep on teaching us your skills, Sweety....?😋 Yummmm!!!

Mama use to call this a labor meal. You can labor on the farm all day putting up fence feeding cattle and hogs and this kinda meal would stick to ya. I do have a question, how does your gravy get brown. You really don't brown the flour.

Jason King the crust on the pork steaks and the residue in the pan made the color brown.

Love the way this came out thx!! If anyone is a lazy cooker like me: sautee/carmelize ur veggies first, set em aside, sear ur pork steaks in same pan, turn down heat to medium, add veggies back in with butter and minced garlic, dilute a gravymix in bowl with milk whisk til smooth, pour into pan, and simmer for 30 mins on low stirring and adding water as needed. One pan, quick and delicious. Dont forget to season in layers.

@@chriscook4u2 thank you. You're awesome. I will do just what you told me. I will wait till it brown. Can you recommend how long to cook on each side for, tho, please? I'm sorry for asking so many questions but I'm nervous b/c I don't want to overcook/undercook them, and I'm prone to mess something up if I don't have exact instruction. Do you think frying it between 5 and 6 is high enough heat? And I'm looking for a simple pork chop tutorial b/c I'm a beginner.
