I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Smothered EVERYTHING OMG 🥰🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
That’s the old school way
My father passed away almost a year ago he was 94 and missed 95 @ 2eeeks. And I’ll tell you what , that old man burned in that kitchen til his final day. He was a good man and a damn good cook. People have said he same about me but I never took it to heart. But the day my father told me that he didn’t know where I got it from but he loved the way I seasoned meats it gave me a joy that infused my soul. He was a good man but a hard man. He didn’t give out compliments lightly. Then he would brag on my cooking to his 8 brothers who were equally good and hard men and great cooks to boot. Family you just don’t know how much that meant and still means to me. I am so glad that my heroes weren’t movie stars or athletes. I had every thing I needed right at home.
You are like the father I never had I love your style thank you for helping me put a smile on my children’s face by sharing your love through your cooking it’s absolutely delicious just like momma & poppa use to make wonderful job! One love one ❤
Jeff that is a Sunday dinner that anyone would be proud of period thanks for sharing your recipe and technique
The memories that this brings back of my grandmother making smothered pork chops, that were actually pork steaks as I learned when I got older. This meal will leave you wanting for nothing else. I would probably add some collard greens to this, slice up some tomatoes and onion, and I will be in heaven. I would probably let a Tahitian treat or a Pepsi sit in the freezer until he got just a little bit of ice in there, and that will be all she wrote
There you go again with cavenders. Up north we been using cavenders on pan fish since i was a boy im 58 now. This recipe looks great cant wait to try it. Yesterday i made the fried chicken wings from your other video just like you said only i did let them soak in the buttermilk mixture for 24 hours. By far best fried chicken I ever ate. This ole white country boy is loving your cooking. Keep posting my brother
Chef Jeffrey that's what I'm talking about those pork steaks looks delicious like you said sometimes you have to go back old school remind me when my mother used to cook pork steaks thank you for bringing back all the old school dishes I love and remember God Bless You.
I love it when you say “it don’t get no better than this! “…..cause it DON’T! 🥰
I love a guy who uses Cavenders! My go to seasoning for just about everything!

This is exactly how my grandmother taught me as a pre-teen to cook smothered pork chops, pork steaks and chicken. Her main ingredient was LOVE IN THOSE POTS. I never forgot it. I'll always remember being her pivot person in the kitchen. Many recipes I remember by the ingredients I handed her. Life was so much sweeter then bc of the love, plenty of good foods and the lessons we were taught. Thank you for the memories.💞💞
You done made me wanna cook!
What was the first seasoning you used

Chef cannot wait to try this recipe. That gravy was so easy. Made the “OSSF” cafeteria Sloppy Joe’s for my granddaughter today. We loved that recipe! Can’t believe I have been using the can mix all these years.Thank You for sharing your love for food and cooking. Love ur channel.
Looks so delicious. I’m learning how to make gravy so thank you. 👍🏼💓👌🏽
I made the smothered pork chops and it was so easy. It came out so delicious and my son who don't like pork chops said Mommy Delicious! Thank you!🥰❤
Yum yum my favorite
Pork steaks awesome awesome. Very under rated cut of pork. My grandmother always pan fried them with salt and pepper and they were always so good. I've fried them, BBQ them on the grill or baked you can't go wrong! I keep a stock of those in my freezer!
Looks yummy
I am not really a pork lover. I would choose chicken or beef or any wild meat over pork, but man that looks good! I just might have to try it myself.
Hi me again love this video making this on friday good job my man dirty flour man
Looks delicious!
Yes Sir, this is REAL SMOTHERED PORK CHOP/STEAKS.

My deepest condolences to u n your family may your mother Rest In Peace.
Chef Jeff.. You da man bro.. This video is all about yummy goodness.. and I love the way you articulated this dish... The way you informed everyone about the dangers of pork if you are not careful.. You are awesome bro.. and The Rookie Chef will continue to look up to you.. and Chef Jeff, they do have a Pork stock.. You can find it at an Asian market near you.. Regular grocery stores wont have it.. But your local Asian market will.. but regardless.. you did an excellent job brother.. you didn't need the Pork stock.. your dish is some YUMMY GOODNESS!! I want a plate of that!! Mom would be so proud of this dish my bro.. You knocked it out the park.. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Awesome 👏
Looks perfect
Yeah, if you want pork stock, you have to make it yourself. I would recommend this for any stock anyway. So much better than what you get in a store.
Thank you Chef Jeffrey for sharing this recipe. I do agree I love pork steaks much better than I love pork chops. The recipe looks delicious and easy to make. Thanks again blessings
Chef Jeffery I like pork streaks better than pork chops. Those pork streaks and gravy looks delicious. I know they are delicious because you cooked them. God Bless you, your staff.
Oh, my goodness! That looks so good, Chef Jeffery. Would love a plate of that right now.
Morning Chef Jeffrey!! That looks delicious and comforting!! I need to purchase a dutch oven- they seem to make the food so tender- enjoy- Be blessed!!
Chef J, these look delicious. Thanks for the recipe.
Hi and I must say, my dad taught me all about the fat, just for a repeat from my son! 😊 I had no idea how good pork steaks were, nor had I heard of, but loved Mama Ray Ray's from 2 weeks ago! So I know I'm going to love your too, and will make very soon! You can't beat the price either. Doesn't put a dent in the wallet! Thank you for sharing! 😋 .. 🏈⭐️📣 .. 🙏
Thanks 🙏
Looks delicious 😋
I make my pork chops/steaks the same way, also my country style steak, with “dirty flour!” Making gravy with caramelized onions is the easiest way to start making gravy❣️
I want some ❤💯 that looks so good
I try it it was really good
Yummy
This looks so so good! My hubby would love this! ❤️
Looks like a good recipe for simmering in the crockpot on a Sunday or any day really. I'll have to search the markets for pork steak. Thanks Chef Jeff 😊
wow that is good !!!! 🤣😊safe day💜
I understand a fatty fried pork steak smothered in onion gravy chef. Yes I do and cook some fluffy white rice and enjoy yourself Sir. 💖
Great minds think alike Chef. Just bought me some on Friday to make this exact same meal lol. That's tender pork steak and that gravy 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Yes lol
Good morning Chef. Have a blessed Sunday.
My goodness! Chef Jeff I have my imaginary plate right here. All I need is two of your homemade biscuits with that dish.
Chef that is a delicious home cooked
style plate. A little hot sauce 😋
Jeff…you go right ahead and use that “dirty flour” I do too.
Those pork steaks look absolutely delicious…I’m making cubed steak the same way…💕
They look so delicious 😋
Absolutely delicious 💕
Yummy!
Looks great chef and the thumbnail did it for me I gotta make this .. what was the first seasoning you put on the steaks?
Salt and pepper
Looks delicious 😋
Looks delicious 😋 😍
Where is the biscuits and tea ? This is what makes us eant an old people's nap 😂😂❤❤❤
Hello Chef,
WOW!!! That looks really good! I love that combination as well with rice and corn. Sometimes my mom will add biscuits. Yes Chef it will put you sleep (in a food coma) in a good way 😆😆❤
I’m fixing some right now 😂
Hello chef Jeffrey.
Hello Chef Jeffrey! How are you doing this Labor Day Weekend? You said that there's no Pork Stock or Broth. My question to you is why is that? I mean many people cook with pork, and it would be nice plus convenient to have a pork broth or stock to use in our cooking! I already know most recipes when it comes to pork, they tell you to use chicken instead! I was just curious. I'm wishing you a great day, but I'm also praying for you a safe and blessed journey on your trip!🤔🤨🧐😉✌❤🙏
😋😋😋😋
After putting in back in the pot it cooks 2 hours more on low?
Good early Labor Day morning, to you Chef Jeffrey!😌💞💗💞
Man oh man, this "Old School" Sunday dinner is right up my alley!
I so agree with you about pork steak.
I think that you get more meat for your money, and they taste better!😆😉
Now, let's talk about this delicious meal that you prepared🤗
Those pork steaks were browned so nicely, then I loved how you added your sliced onions to the pot afterwards.
I do that also!😏
Oh by the way, I too, am a "dirty flour lady."😆😏....hey, it is the same flour that was used to brown those pork steaks with. Why totally waste it?😉😂😏
Anyway, speaking of browning, your gravy looked mouthwatering, amazingly, delicious!😳😋
When you put those pork steaks back into that pot, I was wondering, if they all were gonna fit!😳😂
That gravy was rising like the Nile River!
But, you got them all into that pot with no spills!😬😳🤗
Chef Jeffrey, when your meal was finished cooking, I was salivating and biting on my lip thinking about how good your meal was gonna taste!🤤😋
I love me, some brown gravy!
With onions added is a wonderful delicious bonus!🤗
This is truly one of my favorite meals.
Simple "Old School" and delicious!
Please have a great day!
Blessings, until your next video...
Thanks 🙏
😃😋
👍💯😎💯👍
