The life skill you are teaching your children priceless, this is how I was brought up to help and learn god bless you
Amy you should consider writing a cookbook with all your crockpot meal prep recipes. Along with all your meal prep ideas.
Melissa Henley she has a recipe blog
Would just like to tell everyone this woman is truly amazing. She helped me so much when I was younger before she got popular and she deserves millions of subscribers.
Hi, Amy. I just love watching your videos. My grandparents had 14 children, and luckily, I grew up with them. They were still making babies after I was born. Now I am 50, my children are all out on their own and I am now cooking for only 2, It is horrible. Your prepping videos warm my heart.
It's such a blessing knowing that your children are very helpful in the kitchen 😊
back story- we were 10 at our largest. down to just 4 now. 6ft 2 14 yr old (#3 son)and little man. little man is cp/Autistic. I became disabled 4 yrs ago after a deadly infection and a severe allergic reaction to medications. today- I still cook this way. but it lasts us months now. it saves us so much money and on the many days I am physically unable to move daddy and #3 son can fix good meals quickly with prep we were able to do on a my good day. learning to cook this way has been a Godsend in our lives. takes so much stress out of our daily lives and out of our meager food budget. love your vids. gives me great ideas and reminds me of the lovely chaos our world was before.
I was blessed by your kind words thank you. Praying you have a fantastic day!!
mordeys I feel you!! We are only a family of 4 though and I have a 6’0 ft 15 year old girl who is my baby and my oldest is high functioning autistic and has epilepsy who is just recovering from brain surgery. I was diagnosed 4 years ago with rheumatoid arthritis and an IBD so I am grateful for my freezer meals and meal plans for my bad days. Hugs
My brother and I both have autism but we both are blessed to have the awesome lord.
My prayers are with all of you 🤗😇

My husband is watching with me and I plan on making him watch more because he keeps saying "you need that and also one of those" a lot. 😄 So I can get more kitchen things now!
Yay for you
I love getting new kitchen gadgets or crafty stuff. Better then chocolate or flowers lol. My hubby bought me a ice cream/sorbet maker because I absolutely love lemon ice cream and apple ice cream.
Oh yummy
@@crazygamerchickcrazy-g-c7569 I need to get an Ice cream maker so I can make my own keto ice cream
@@annetterose8948 the one I have your only need to add frozen fruit and what ever other bit you want. You only need to let the fruit defrost a little. I have save a lot of ice cream recipes on my Pinterest page. pin.it/xvojcww4qtfqti
I did a breakfast burrito prep for my son....hes super excited and im so happy I did it....bless you Amy for all these ideas to make my life productive and easier
Great video! I love how everyone pitches in to help ☺
Thanks for being here
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your life skills with us i am on a very small budget so anyway I can save is very appreciated , I used to worry about freezing cooked meals but since I started watching your video's I'm more relaxed so now I'm sharing your recipes with my mother in law and she just cuts back on portion size so thank you from my family as you've blessed my whole family . Sending blessing to your family from mine
I wish my kids would help me in the kitchen like that, great job kids helping mum 👏👏😁
Thank u, thank u, thank u, for showing me how to make homemade cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups!! I love adding the soups to many recipes but all the preservatives always drove me nuts, now I can relax knowing it's fresh with only natural ingredients!! I am an empty nester but my adult children still come over for a home cooked meal occasionally, now i have a few nee recipes to try on them!! I love watching u and Jamerrill Stewart, in fact, it's because of a collaboration u did together with her for breakfast freezer meals that I found u in the first place!! Thank u Ms. Jamerrill!! My fav videos are when u cook with ur children and the one on ones u have with ur girls are priceless!! Thank u for also sharing ur faith, it comes from goodness and kindness and in appreciate that!! Take care of u and ur family and I'll keep watching!! (P.S. Urs and Greg's marriage is goals!! Thank u for sharing the reality of it, not some sugarcoated version where there has never been some strife u both worked through, reality is so much better!! Big fan from Alaska!!💖💖💖💖🙏🙏💖💖💖💖
Thank you for your kind words...have a wonderful day
Love your videos. Especially the food prep. I manage a 15 person group home and you have inspired me to do the meal prep. It makes so much sense. You have a faithful new subscriber from Michigan
Wow! I need to rest now! Lol I love how the kids jump right in and help. This is really a perfect way to teach them! Absolutely you are my favorite to watch!
Anyone else's eyes start to water from watching all that onion being chopped?😁
I grew up with 10 siblings and i love watching your videos🤗😍
i have a food chopper that even my 3 year old grandson can manage, he loves to hit the top, it's so fast you don't get watery eyes, grandkids love doing it, it's over too fast for them, it comes with a lid so quickly into the refrigerator. i always have chopped onions
Goodness, i adore u and ur videos. As i watched this episode, i got a bit distracted with the interruptions (dog barking, close the window, someone comes in, more barking, phone rings, and either the microwave went off or a backhoe was backing up outside, someone else comes in...). U never missed a beat. Then I busted out laughing. Ive had that same schedule for years and could appreciate how funny it looks to others. Enjoy u all the time. Have a blessed day!
This is such an old video 😂
Your energy is electric and gives me power for my day! Thank you for these videos, they were the first ones I tuned in for and this one was a delight all the same. You really are a treat Amy. Thank you!
Thank u for your kind words
Woah lady, remember to BREATHE! Your brain is running 5 million miles a minute LOL
Oh yes there is a reason I run a household of 11 and a full time business :)
Amy you are so amazing 👍, I have never seen anyone cook the way u are doing. Love watching u and your at working so hard. Yvonne from Houston.
Hi Amy we live in Australia I’m speaking for my mum she loves your videos and she watches you every day and she even does the monthly meal plan to save money like you do so she says thank you from the bottom of her heart and she says god bless you
Tell your mother i appreciate her comments and happy she can watch:). And good for her to make monthly meals..smart lady:)
Hi Amy I’m so grateful for your beautiful message thank you I been doing the monthly meals for 10 months now love it for a family of 6 I will be telling my family about this Erin 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love to know if you have a Facebook page so I like the page and share it with my family and friends
Love, love, love, love!! And I liked it too! Ha! I got so happy when I saw those big bowls with warm water and yeast!! I knew what was coming!! I have learned so much from watching you! Thank you.
You are welcome
I don't think I've ever met anyone with that much energy. Great vid!
Love seeing Loren in the kitchen. What a great help.
When your girls grow up and get married, they are already going to be great cooks, just like their mom!
OmG the hardwork is real ❤a wholesome channel.
The trick to no tears when cutting onions....keep your mouth open. The hard part is remembering to keep it open. I've tried it and it works.
Lol. I always forget lol
@@amymaryon put onion in freezer for a bit do not feeeze solid tho. A quick intense chill REALLY WORKS to remove that vapor the onions give off. I tried cut this end or the other and it never helped but the cold trick DOES.
I love how all your kids get involved :) i def need to start doing food prep like this!
put some bacon with your onion and pepper mix cook with brussell sprouts its yummy
My girlfriend in the US is sending what she calls a “care package” including the same meat chopper you have, oven mitts and pot holders and a few silicone bits and bobs as a surprise. I call her once a week from Australia and we talk for 1 to 2 hours so she does this now and then bless her as it’s cheaper for me to call her than her me, lol!
Your running on Ever Ready Batteries girl your rock
It is a wonderful chopper!! Hope your day is filled with some sunshine :). Praying still
If you both have a Facebook account and Facebook messenger you can call as much as you want and it won’t cost a cent. It’s totally fee in messenger, my children live overseas and we call each other for nothing as long as you have access to an internet connection.
Michelle Gillespie my girlfriend is not up on all this tech stuff as she calls it. I get free overseas minutes with my phone provider and even though I call every week have never run out of minutes
Just use WhatsApp
I am glad you got one I was thinking about that when I seen you cooking before
I love the Crofton cookware. I love all there enamel cast iron items, so happy when they bring out something new
Does the enamel scratch? Like can u use a stainless steel spoon or just silicon or wood?
amy maryon I only use silicone and wood so I don’t know how it would hold up but it is very durable and cleans up so nicely.
Ok good to know. I've seen them and they are so pretty :)
Great job you got tired just watching you and you have great help
Love Aldis!
Thanks for watching
Did you know that you can put your pans in some ammonia just use a tub and sit the bottom of the pan in it and it will get them shiny clean😊
If you have the storage space, you could alternate what you buy. One month stock up on 2 months worth of freezer stuff and then the next month do pantry. You could take your coolers with you in case you find great deals on meat or cheese.
Yes great idea
Hi amy..your pots and pans are so shiney. Have you ever burnt anything😁 yesterday i burnt a pan..scrubbed it so hard that the non stick coating came off..thank you for all you do for us.👍
I only use stainless steel
Amazing how the kids can help more. I have an idea. Buy another rack for your oven. I took my rack to my sisters when we made Christmas cookies and it help speed up the baking immensely. I’m sure you can buy one somewhere. Another hint. If you need a bigger mixing container, use a Sterilite storage container. We make our big batches of potato salad for events in one. Probably not optimal for hot food though. Thanks for sharing!
I love these videos so helpful I have four children not on my own and I need all the advice I can get LOL
:). Thanks for watching
Hi Amy, Dee from Kentucky here, I have another Recipe to share.
Make homemade bone broth chicken stock, cook overnight in your turkey roaster.
Use 2 whole chickens, or chicken with bones. First chop the hidden veggies, pulverized in food processor- 3 onions- 2 carrots- 5 ribs celery, 1/4 cup garlic, 3 tbsp. parsely. Place chickens and pulverized veggies in the roaster. Add water to cover, add salt and pepper, bring to a boil, reduce heat to 250 and cook overnight. Next day, de-bone and shred the chicken and strain the broth. Store in freezer bags or containers and use in recipes, That seasoned stock is the difference between night and day, what a wonderful taste.
You may do the same process with beef bones and Browned beef stew meat or 2 browned chuck roasts for beef stock.
Try the homemade stock in soups, or freeze stock in ice cube trays and add to stir frys. We often shred the chicken, add broth, cook some Amish egg noodles in some of the broth, serve the chicken and noodles with mixed vegetables and a salad. Absolutely delicious.
p.s. I try and make a different flavor homemade soup and big huge tossed salad weekly and serve that before the main meal entree. I serve a canned fruit salad, ( I also add in apples, oranges, bananas) after the meal, as a dessert.
Helps to control the food budget and satisfy empty tummies. ❤️
I have a pampered chef apple slicer that works very nicely for apples. Cores and slices at the same time.
I have 7 in my house... only 3 are mine but we are feeding everyone on a limited budget. We homeschool also so everyone is home all the time. I'm the only one who cooks and we can't really afford a lot of fast or frozen stuff and to eat healthy foods at the same time. The freezer meal prep videos give me so many ideas! Thanks so much for all the inspiration!
I am so glad... you got this momma!
Hi amy,you children are so sweet,an can help you in the kitchen an house, wow,an they are learning young how to bake, cook,an clean, that is so awesome, some kids never help in the house, some just want to lay around an play on their computers,i helped my mom too, whn.I was young,y'all are such a beautiful family! tfs, amy! hope you see this,I'm late, lol, love your channel too! have a blessed day yall!! peace an love!
Hi Amy, I only have to feed 4 now but having Rheumatoid Arthritis I need things my family can just heat up. I've been most inspired by the items you use in your kitchen to help facilitate my cooking prep. I'm going to large batch my cream of mushroom and chicken soups as I now have the containers you use. I also love, love the stainless steel baking pans you use. They're so lightweight and I can get them any size. Thank you for the great videos.
Oh i am so glad ! Makes me smile
Your grocery hauls and food prep videos are my FAVORITE!!
Thank u
I loved seeing the entire family working together. Teamwork is the best!!! Greetings from Alaska.
Thanks for watching
You really accomplished so much on this day! Even made the yogurt! Great job Amy! I like to make a chicken soup and a cabbage soup in my pressure cooker and it takes no time at all. Really rainy here this week so I want to try and get a little baking done. Always love these videos and I always learn so much from you. Hope you guys are having an awesome week. Now I want to thank you so much for checking out my videos it means the world to me. You are super kind and thoughtful and I feel blessed to know you!------Tressa Daigle
The emersion blender is the best kitchen tool. You did it perfectly. I love watching your videos, I look forward to them each morning/afternoon. Such a lovely family.
Thanks for watching
Amy I know this sounds crazy, but I miss this kitchen. It’s just something about the mountain house that always seemed so cozy. Your new house is bigger and beautiful though ❤
Understood..I also made that our home..after many years..I am sure this home will be no different ❤️
I love it when you do these big preps. I've been really sick this past month with an allergic reaction to laundry detergent and a virus, so I'm relaxing by watching this. Very peaceful to watch and I'm not sure why. Lol
Oh Jill I am so sorry you haven't been feeling well.. Praying you get some good rest tonight and feel better tomorrow :)
@@amymaryon thank you so much.
Fill Stockpot with the boneless chicken fill with sazon seasoning garlic powder onion powder a lil white vinegar and water add potatoes onion green peppers a few bay leaves and cook it and serve over rice so good
A wonderful "class". Just so relaxing to watch and get lots of ideas!
I love how your family help you out.I love the dog running in the kitchen.Mine do the same thing.
Yellow rice contains turmeric, which accounts for the color! I love watching your meal prep!
U can even make mini thin pizza doughs and fill them with boneless chicken that you shredded and cooked in Italian dressing fill the dough and top with cheese fold them over and seal them and bake them like homemade hot pockets
Oh smart idea thank u
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN !!!! 🎊🎂💐
She says thank u
My daughter is hook on your videos now. We love all the great ideas you have, and the good suggestions from views. God bless
you could use the bacon grease for your cream of mushroom soup (or something like it - chowder, mac'n'cheese, what have you) if you're using butter anyway. adds flavour without costing extra. i'm a big fan of letting nothing go to waste, as i'm certain you are too. the beacon grease also refrigartes well for any other time.
Lauren always makes us smile! Love you guys!
She is too fun
Hi Amy, yellow rice is just saffron. Delicious....very popular with Indian dishes....also doesn’t your back ever get sore?
No:). Thank u
I can relate to your life style. I also have a large family. I also prepare lots of food in advance but i try to be more health concious. I am a chef and did catering for many years. I just wanted to tell you that i think your food would really taste just as nice if you reduced the amout of sour cream and cheese you use. Also i wanted to give you a tip. I make tones of meat balls. Just mixing ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs and spices. Then i boil them and freeze in ziplock bags. Then you can pair them with tomato sauce and spaghetti, mushroom sauce with rice and a side of broccoli or onion sauce with mashed potatoes and green beans. Or any sauce you like really.
Countinue your good work. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one with a crazy lifestyle; )
I thank u for all the tips. Yes less sour cream and cheese is good .this month was viewer recipes so we did a lot of them that were recommended :). I didn't know about the boil thing...genius..thank u
Senden mutfak icin bi cok sey ogreniyorum tesekkurler
She fearlessly chucks 10lbs of bacon in the oven, and never looks back. That’s a boss.
Makes me smile 😊
Hope you never stopped doing vlogs! Like how you make it fun, simple and delicious! 👍🏽👍🏼💗💗
I have no plans to stop:)
I just NOW found this video!!!???!!!
Here is a tip,Amy...use your food processor on the stove under the exhaust fan. It will pull most of the onion fumes away.
Saffron makes the rice yellow it’s yummy. Thanks for sharing
Ok good to kmow thank you
@@amymaryon I also add a few dashes of tumeric powder, it works great for turning the rice yellow with the added benefits!! ;0)
Turmeric and a little chicken bullion.
I know saffron does, I never used turmeric. Learn something new 😉 have a g’day
DLR Young. Saffron is much more expensive versus turmeric. That's why ppl use turmeric over saffron. But be careful not to use too much Bec it can overpower the dish. also, it stains ur fingers if touching w hands.
Beautiful !! Just beautiful !!!
Thank u
Mom used to make salisbury steak with mushroom gravy potatoes and either green beans or peas
If you chill your onions in a fridge, you won't cry nearly as much. I spent 30 years in food service and did food prep for many of those. I chopped onions EVERY day. Give it a shot. Also knew a lady who wore swim goggles. Lol
Lol thanks for tips
The yellow rice is saffron. There is lots of recipes that you can do. ou need to sit down and organized your plans so you can create a menu plan for the week. You can do ground beef enchiladas, refried beans and tossed salad, Buttermilk fried chicken, mash potatoes and country gravy, chicken strips with twice bake potatoes, barbecue chicken, corn casserole and broccoli, honey mustard chicken tenders and parmesan potato wedges, grilled chicken and panzanella salad, chicken breast and pasta carbonara.
Thanks lillian
Do you guys ever make sloppy joes? Thats one of our favorites. You can make a tortilla strip soup and use those taco shells crushed up in it along with cheese. Something we made growing up was what my grandma callled a tostada stack casserole. You could use taco shells broken up on the bottom instead of tortilla chips, then spread out warmed up/thinned out with a bit of water beans, tip with some browned ground beef, cheese and olives, and bake @ 350 for 30 minutes or until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted. Then pull it out and spread a layer of cream cheese, sprinkle with diced tomatoes and green onion and cilantro if you like it. Then we also liked to put slices of avocado and you just serve up a square, and its sooo good!
Oh saving this thank u
@@amymaryon I meant sour cream not cream cheese lol sorry about that!
I just found your channel and I'm hooked. We are not a large family but I love the food prep for the whole month. I'm going to take some of these tips for next month.
I just started watching these videos. I would love all of these recipes!!!
I always try to stick to eating one meat a day when I do have it because it takes your body a lot longer to digest different animal proteins.
Scalloped potatoes with sliced ham! Big winner!
Blue tee shirt baby is an excellent pizza helper!! Everyone worked hard, but she spent a lot of time tidying up little helper's pizza crusts!
Cook lentils and add to meat as a healthy additive....you can purée it so those won't turn their noses at if it seems to beanie.
Lots of food and lots of fun😊💛. Thanks for the great video. No lazybones around your house! See you next time 💙
Thank u. No lazy here :)
@@amymaryon 😊💛
Amy, if you put your seasoning in at the beginning with your butter and flour before you add the onion/mushrooms you will find that 1. You cook out the flour quicker and 2. Your seasonings intensify with the heat of the pan which will reduce cook time and a lot of excess salt ( which all store brought seasonings have).
Just a helpful hint 😉
Mel Smith, South Australia, Australia
Thanks for tip
Happy birthday Lauren ! Great video Amy ! I love your videos ....Your Always so motivating and inspiring to me and definitely encouraging !
Love your prep videos Amy! You're an inspiration to me. God bless you and your family!!!
Thanks for watching
I buy lean ground beef when it's on sale and cook it with onions, garlic, salt and pepper and freeze meal size portions. This way it's ready to use for chili, sloppy joes, tacos, chili mac, etc.
me too👍🏻i freeze 1/4 c taco meat per taco served, then the right amount is thawed 😊
Adding vegetables to meat is such a good way to pack in some nutrients, makes the meal go further in quantity and it actually tastes better 😍😍😍 I love your videos, Amy. My little girls now watch with me 😘
Yay!!! Thank you for watching
Yay, ran out to Aldis, they had the smaller pan with a lid and a large saute pan with a lid. Moment of truth was it really the thin pan or the bad cook? We will see. I made pinto beans, chili, yogurt and granola bars. Then it dawned on me, four adults and three children moved out two weeks ago, cooking is going to be EASY. I don't really have to do a whole lot of prep work. Made a Walmart order went from 400-600 a month to 200.00. I only have me, my grandson and 5 little kids to feed now. Yay life is getting easier, God heard my weary prayer and answered. Love you and all of your wonderful family. Thanks for motivating me to realize my great blessings of not having such a full plate. I am truely thankful. Praying it was thin pans not bad a bad cook.
You are good:). And God is good!
I learned how to make pizza dough a new way and it's absolutely awesome makes the best pizza dough cinnamon rolls Bagels all is one. It's only two ingredients 2 cups of self rising flour to 1 cup of Greek yogurt mix it until it gets Shaggy and then knead until it's smooth using a sparing amount of extra flour so it's not sticky. You can let it sit for just a little bit and then roll it out out and make whatever you want.
Poor Maxine. She just wanted a bite of meat!! So sweet.
You should get a foodsaver.... I absolutely love mine....
What is a food Saver?
Kate Brookes it’s a vacuum sealer for food.... meats and stuff won’t become freezer burnt.... I use mine all the time, for 20 years now, just bought a new one my other one just died... I also seal my rice and other dry goods so they don’t get buggy....
Debbie Layton thank you 😊
Love mine too
Luv that your little one danced a little jig when she showed us her fruit bowl😆❤️
:)
We love chicken and yellow rice (arroz con pollo). The rice is yellow from the saffron in it.
Thank u so much
you can also put Tuna salad and Chicken Salad in pita bread also so good and easier to handle for little kids
Yes yummy
Good Morning Amy & Family!!
Good morning to u

Yes
I call that star looking thing that breaks up my ground meat the "Spatulator"
Lol. Love the name
Such a great idea to pre-cook and chop up the bacon! Recipe ready! You taught me a new "trick": watched you do your yeast bread mixing and kneading altogether in a large bowl. Did it that way when I made dinner rolls recently and it worked great! No more flour all over the counter any more...just use my largest bowl for the whole process. Thanks, Amy. (:
Yes much cleaner method :)
Its t either turmeric or suffron that makes the rice yellow! Love your videos amy!

Sazón Goya will make your rice yellow.
Stirr in 1 lil packet to your rice and water and cook as normal.
We use it all the time at home. I'm puertorrican and we do lots of yellow rice together with beans.
I wish you would show how you wrap up your pizza crusts for the freezer to prevent freezer burn.
Love the Frankenmuth sweat shirt reminds me my mother in law worked at Zehnder's in Frankenmuth for 20 plus years downstairs in the bakery, just love seeing it so thank you
We love Frankenmuth:). The bread and the deep fried powdered sugar cakes...yummy
