Just used AI ripper and now have she's a model by Kraftwerk in both formats , I have racked my brain and sample selection for something compatible with similar Camelot value tempo etc , but nothing comes to mind . As I am doing this project on mobile using we-dj app and reeloop app do you have any suggestions . Melodic deep / ethnic house is where I presently find myself . Drop mixing is super reliable to do when I'm forget my list or missing the cue point ,but i think slip mode will keep me busy on the deck ..i just learn DJ about 3weeks ,thanks for your video that make me better and better ⭐⭐

I just wanted to say This channel And dj ready school (I believe that's what it was called) have helped me out so much in picking up a DJ controller last spring and making my own mixes and playing live at kickbacks for friends. And it has really saved me from going crazy when raves and music events were stopped the to covid. I still may not be anywhere near to some of you people's skill, but I've have a blast with what I've been doing and HIGHLY recommend anyone interested in learning to give a shot. Sure it might take some time to learn but you'll progress quickly.... Also don't forg5 to press record you'll be amazed with what you can blend together. Have fun!

I do a hybrid between blend/ drop mixing by mixing in a new drop 8 bars before the old one so I have time to blend in the buildups together and create a little bit of extra tension

At the 12 min mark, all he's really doing is putting the Acapella on a loop, hitting the hot cue to restart the Acapella, repeats a few times then starts cutting the Acapella loop with the channel fader, and presses the play button while in slip mode to do the vinyl break effect, then finally does the vinyl break with an echo effect. Hope this explanation helps!

Hi, very nice tricks 👍 I have a question.. Is there a rekorbox controller that lets you trigger three effects on one deck? Rekordbox has this option .. I have a ddj-400 which can trigger only one effect and FX pads .. Will buying an additional XP2 controller for the ddj 400 will be a good solution? Is it better to buy a new high-end controller? (what?)
Oh good question! An XP2 will help, but some remapping my be done to accommodate your specific needs. To save money, you can try remapping your controller to do specific stuff!

Ddj 400 on amazon for $280 comes with stand, headphones, and rekordbox license which is normally about $130 alone so great deal. However you'll have to order monitor speakers separately and I highly suggest getting a macbook of you don't have one already. You can find good used ones on offer up for around $700 the lowest I've seen in my area. Hope this helps. ⭐
I second the recommendation for the DDJ-400. Wouldn't want to assume too much about you, but I think the price wouldn't be too hefty for most. Wouldn't know about the Mac thing though - I've been going at it with a PC and it works just fine, but then again I've never tried Mac; maybe it really is better. Speakers needn't be too high end if you're practicing at home either! An even cheaper option would be the DDJ-200, but people tend to outgrow its functions real fast. Good luck!

Sir, in a long gig say of about 4 hours how to have the crowd dancing ?(at an average how many songs do we need to play and at an average how many different transitions shall we try ?)
I was mixing a medium of 6 hours per gig, for 6 years. For 4 hours you need about 80-100 songs, depending on how long you want to keep them playing. Also, depends on the transition and everything else. Also, better to keep about another 100 tracks for any case. You can try 3-4-5 type of transitions per gig.
there are so many factors that come to play really! You have to know the crowd you're playing for and read them while performing so you can adjust and keep 'em interested. Always have enough songs in your pocket. Best of luck!

In EDM genre, drop mixing is the way to go. For progressive House music, I prefer blend mixing though.

It's best to experiment on your own to develop your own techniques and such after learning the basic tricks.
When drop mixing it sounds best to mix in the same key (pretty much all mixing does though)
