    Great inspirational video as usual. HSPU is exactly what I am currently working on. 10 sec free standing so far, and 60 seconds supported. 5-6 negatives and partials. Working towards greater range of motion.

    Used to do partial handstand pushups with a boxing glove to decrease the range of motion. This looks like a much better scaled version. Awesome video!

  • @aries6776
    @aries6776 10 лет назад

    Great video, you are very strong and have good balance. The only thing I would question is why are your hands so wide? The variation you didn't show was what I would call a normal handstand width as you would see a gymnast do which is hands shoulder width apart. Interestingly the only time you got near that was when you walk up to the wall facing it. Then you naturally brought your hands closer to under your shoulders. With hands under your shoulders you will have better balance in the lock out and the range of motion on the hspu will be larger so you get more out of them.

    Great video Sir :) How many times do you practise your handstands? Because my progress is really slow and I can't hold my balance while doing the handstand. I would like to practise more often but I feel a little pain after some exercises (like planch with bent legs) and I don't want to overtrain myself. Any idea? :/ Thank you!

    Thanks for your instructive video, man. I got a question, when I practice the shoulder push ups, especially when I raise the height, I feel in the end, it's my quads feeling stressed and tired because it's a 90 degree between legs and upper body, so your quads should be involved, but my shoulder or triceps are not that burned out yet, is it OK or how should I do to correct it? Any suggestions, appreciated.

    • @CalisthenicsWeightTraining
      @CalisthenicsWeightTraining  10 лет назад +4

      Thanks. Well its normal to feel the legs but if your legs burn out faster than your shoulders/tricep they probably only lack some static strength for that position. Should probably work better soon. Try if keeping legs completely straight or a little bent in knees changes it.

    When should you start handstand push ups? For now I just manage to do 75-85 in a row and some variations on a the regular push-ups, but I'm not that good at one-handed push-ups but I was just wondering so I could set myself some goals..

    HI Chris!
    How should one schedule the HSPU training sessions?
    For example, i train them 3 times per week: Day 1: High volume HSPU (many sets, low reps) - Day 2: Deep negative HSPUs - Day 3: High intensity (not perfect form, min rest).
    Do you think it's good? I'm currently at 5 perfect form wall assisted HSPUs, and my goal is 15.
