Yes to the water change! I had a beta and he lived 7 years. The fish store told me this was unheard of but it’s true. The trick was to never take all the water out and disturb him I only took half out and would pretreat the new water a half day before. It makes a big difference and taking all the water out is so traumatizing to the fish

Love the tank , great video , had a go at growing sweet potato, it worked amazing an had a vine in no time ,
However potato started to go wrotten, so I removed it , for the sake of contaminating the tank ,
I kept some roots back , however they failed to thrive,
    Any ideas ?

But what was wrong? Brought home two new ones last week and one of them was doing similar stuff. Kept to the bottom, didn’t seem to be eating… lethargic. Took him out of main pond and into a quarantine container to get him stabilized. Checked water and everything for a few days, finally he is more lively and interested in food but still didn’t seem to eat it. Not sure what was wrong. Maybe stress?

They do not. However, they produce a lot of waste which may increase the ammonia levels.

Cool vid & CDL is one of my fave songs. But the theme mixed with the Clair De Lune background is unnecessarily similar to Foo’s tbh. *eyeroll*
