The 29 people that disliked this video are jealous of her hair 😂

One thing I've learned about really critical and judgmental people is…that they love to give it, but they don't like to take it. I remember I used to work with someone who used to trash me behind my back all the time. Then if she saw me taking to another co-worker, she would immediately think I was saying mean and nasty things about her (which I wasn't), she would actually corner that person and ask "Was she saying anything mean about me?" I think it's true that people who project a lot of negativity are actually very insecure with themselves and are afraid of criticism and judgement themselves, so they project their insecurities onto others.

When someone takes the time to express negative words in a not so constructive way, the only thing they THINK they are achieving is taking the spotlight away from themselves for a brief moment in hopes of escaping painful, depressing, ill thoughts they have about themselves. It's their bag of potato chips! Never take it personally. Keep on doing what you love to do! Thanks Marie, for putting yourself out there! Love your style and your hair!

I have had a chronic illness for the last 2 years, ME/CFS...but because it's not very understood by people I get lots of hurtful comments...like "you're just depressed, snap out of it, get some exercise, it's all in your head, you're just lazy, you're crazy. I was so frustrated as are many others with CFS...so I posted on a FB support group I belong to..."...without anger or bad feelings tell me the lamest things people have said to you"....it was so hilarious and healing....I got so many responses and everyone was connecting and having fun with it. I know it doesn't sound like something you'd laugh about, but it made me realize that they were never going to get it and that's okay. Thanks so much for your videos...I love them.

As an empath, I find that I can't escape the bad feelings and the self doubt and I have to let myself FEEL them and be upset because of them but the best way to release bad feelings is to let yourself feel them.

Humour and being able to laugh at yourself is one of the great strengtheners and protectors in life. Basically you are saying "I know what anyone says is more about THEM than me and I trust life and my real value anyway". Once you know your true value and both contrast and creativity will show you this through your life journey) you can have compassion for critics who are operating from a place of hurt/jealousy and/or misunderstanding. Keep up the great work Marie <3

Late to the party but what I try to keep in mind is that often when I put myself out there, if I do it because I believe in what I'm doing, no criticism can hits me. If I do it because I (consciously or unconsciously) seek validation, any comment that isn't praise burns like hell. So I try to check-in with myself every time: do I do it for my ego or for the greater cause?

I am SOOO happy you did the hair thing. People are obsessed with hair. But Marie, you know that 100% of the criticism coming your way is from jealous people who grew up thinking that the are the law of the land. Trouble is, they want YOUR land, or what they 'think' you have in your life. They want what you have. Also I think all of those harsh comments from EVERYONE to you is abuse rather than criticism. Criticism for me has an air or feel to it that is very different from those stupid, awful idiotic abusive comments. So glad you did this video. Love the Eddie Murphy message:))

I actually really like constructive criticism, not only does it give me clarity to improve my artwork but I also know that it's coming from a good place in their hearts. Thanks for being awesome Marie!

This was amazing! Anyone who puts themselves "out there" whether it be on RUclips, on line or life, in general, they are going to experience the trolls or as you put it clown holes! There are days when it can be hard to avoid, getting emotionally aggravated with the comments. Some of them flat out hurt! It is up to you to get rid of them! Still a hard thing for me to deal with after six years of this YT thing. But everyday I get a little better!

I need to hear EXACTLY this today! For the first time in my adult life, I'm letting THE FEAR of what other people think (along with their criticisms), keep me from moving forward in my life. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents!

OMG, Karen has a lot of time in her hands...so does her "friend" :) With so much to learn from you Marie, it amazes me how can people don't pay attention to your message. Such an inspiration this episode today...once again! Thank you.

This is the best video ever! Thank you so much for hitting so many great points. This has been a sticky issue for me for the last couple of years promoting my art online. Thanks for sharing some of the criticism that you receive!!!! I would never think people would criticize you since I think you are divine.
