How do you get the HDR cinema mode or filmmaker mode? Mine only says cinema (user settings) and FILMMAKER MODE (User Settings).

I'm not sure what you mean regarding the way and/or reason why the 75" 2022 LG Class 85 Mini-LED ends up with the same price as the 75" TCL Class 6 Mini-LED end up with the same price. Can you explain when and where you got this LG TV on sale for that price further?
I have qned85 75” latest software. Why would a lot of my picture settings be grayed out? I have auto features disabled and the are still grayed out. You set for sdr and hdr I see no setting for sdr/hdr not that I’m using sdr. I use Verizon Fios 4K and 4K Apple TV. I have those plugged into inputs 3/4. But even with the hdmi unplugged settings (some) grayed out. I dunno.
Weird I have the same TV (75QLED85AQA) but I don’t have the Dolby Vision option, under picture selections. I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong, or did a recent update eliminate the DV option? Picked up at Costco for $650 on 21 June 2023z

It's underrated because until this came out, LG LCDs were not great. Advances in IPS technology combined with mini-LED have changed that equation but word has been slow to get out.
@@momsbasement656 Yeah a lot of people seem to stay away from IPS and rather opt for VA. Cant go wrong with either IPS/VA or oled/miniled lol. Technology has been so good that people have become too picky …

Apart from corner bleed. This tv is fantastic for gaming and tv. Plus you save some money for a sound bar if you wanted .

@@geoffboyd depends.. you can go the Sonos gen beam 2 route and build off that. If you don’t want rear speakers but want atmos then I’d just get the S75QR speakers.. you’d have to spend more for rear kit and atmos compatibility. These are just entry/mid level sound bars lol

Hey Classy or anyone. Another option popped up and wanted to get your opinion (s). Prices went up on the LG QNED85 86" and I found a Sony x95j 85" for the same price. Bright room during the day (bay window directly in front of tv), dark room at night. Sit about 14 feet away. No gaming, just 1080p and 4k movies, streaming, and sports. Thanks
Can you do a calibration on the A95K for God of War Ragnorak on the PS5? It looks super foggy with your last settings on the A95K video but it looks amazing on the Destiny 2 game.

QUESTION: Is this the 2022 version of the LG Class 85 series - which includes 65" and 75" models? I see RTings and others have "Reviews" for the 2021 models of the "Class 90" version, but not the 2022 version of these products.
QNED90/91 is an older and higher-end model from 2021. QNED85/86 is a newer slightly lower range model from 2022.
Can you fit a soundbar under the tv?
Excellent Information, I'm cosidering this unit for my next tv for my family room. i will be using an Xbox Series X console. I cuurently have a Older Sony 4k model 60HZ TV, I want this to be the last unit I have to purchase for some time since I am retired and enjoying my life.
How did you switch from hdr to Dolby? I cannot change it and Dolby looks terrible no matter what I try and do. There’s so much shadow when there’s quick motions.
What are the thoughts between this and the TCL R655 in 75”? I can’t seem to find a direct comparison review between the two.
Leaning towards the LG, but I seem to see more reviews for the TCL and how good it is. Use would be Gaming (series x), console apps (movies/youtube), and Sports in that order.

I bought the TLC R655. The power supply went out after only two days. Good chance mine was a fluke, but I returned it and went with this LG model instead. YMMV.

As far as I know the QNED 86 is the European version of the 85. Therefore you should be good to go with these settings.

Its the vrr its normal its usually more visable in loading screens if its an issue for you just turn off vrr

The u8h has posterization issues. Classy pointed it out in his review as well as others. Plus the 4k 120hz mode has line skipping as well. I’d go with the LG qned85 if gaming is your focus.

Lol just curious.. why those TVs? They are way different price points. A 65” C2 would be more comparable.
Just asking cuz I was on the same boat but the Qned85 75” on sale was similar price to C2 65” on sale.. but i get the mini led instead of oled because the price for a 77” c2 was almost double the price

I have a question regarding the game optimizer setting, I turn my xbox series x on and the dashboard it bright, but when I launch a game it’s goes dim again wondering if you know the reason it dims on its own. Thanks in advance

@@oscartorres8044 turn AI bright control off, in game mode is still on even if you have it off in tv mode......allso use HDR, Dolby Vision is not as good or as bright in game mode
Need help deciding. 85" LG QNED 85, Sony x90k, or Hisense u7h. We sit 14' away in a window lit room during the day, and fairly dark room at night. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Budget is below $2,200. Thanks
The Sony is great except for off angle. The Hisense isn't great for gaming. The LG only issue is if it happens to have flashlighting around the edge. That varies from one panel to another.
Great thanks! I should have mentioned this. Our viewing is mostly directly in front, and slightly off angle, not much. No gaming, just movies, streaming, and sports. Prefer great HDR and to have Dolby Vision.
I prefer Google OS, but I can continue using my Shield if I choose not to use WebOS. Trying to get away from needing a streamer though. Currently have a 65" Vizio P Series from 2017 I believe. So almost anything is an upgrade. Those seem to be the three that came the closest to not going OLED in our budget. Bummer the u8h doesn't come in 85".
I bought the Qned 86 55 inch variant. I was able to copy most settings. For the game mode there is no dynamic tone mapping on my model. I wonder what I will need to tweak for the best viewing experience. HDR and Dolby Vision content looks amazing on it though. Regular SDR content is a little lackluster, but hey.
Hello, have you realised a lot of blooming? I just got the same version as urs but it’s exaggerated blooming on dark scenes. Very unhappy with this even though i like lg tvs.

Not sure how you got 120MHZ to work on the XBOX. On my XB when I try to change it from 60 to 120 is says my TV does not support 120 MHZ. I have the 86 inch
You have to use one of the two HDMI 2.1 ports. The other two ports are limited to 4k 60Hz.

I think brightness to 15 makes tv a bit too dark but the blooming is much better . We have to sacrifice brightness for blooming in this case

Is this TV as good as the Samsung QN90B?
For Gaming it is superior. It also has DolbyVision. In most other metrics, the Samsung is superior. As Classy said, the LG QNED85 is the best gaming LCD TV at *any* price.
Ok. If you play retro, or 2D gaming and use PC. BFI/Motion Pro is a MUST have! Plus you could use it all time even in HDR because your brightness is pretty good in QNED compare to OLED BFI. BFI in HDR OLED is almost unusable. And QNED has good algorithms of BFI and 60/120Hz. OLED from C2 gen only have 60Hz BFI. After i played some old KOF game with/without BFI. I must say without BFI sprites look like trash. Even recorded with stopmotion, BFI can be game changing in some cases.

I had to stop your video about 100 times just to mess with everything and then go back and see what you said because you talk in such monotone. I appreciate your work but you really need to work on your presentation.

Much appreciated :) I noticed when going through some of the picture settings you mentioned for the QNED85 that Dynamic Tone Mapping no longer appears to be an option. LG just released another software update this past week so I'm wondering if the update omitted that adjustment. Will not having Dynamic Tone Mapping have any adverse effects on the settings you suggested?
You sure? That would be bizzare, as it's one of the main features of pretty much every HDR TV, and LGs version is great.
@@momsbasement656 ….yep. I called LG and the rep explained that Dynamic Tone Mapping is now included with the Adaptive AI setting. So as I understand it, if you want Dynamic Tone Mapping, Adaptive AI needs to be switched ON.

I have just brought a 55 inch QNED85, For me Dynamic Tone Mapping is only there when the source is HDR. I have none of the AI options enabled. If I select HDR in Windows 11 then the Dynamic Tone Mapping setting is available. If I switch back to SDR it disappears.

The QNED83? Supposedly it's a rebranded QNED90 from 2021. The settings should be very similar.
