Eitan, I understand taking a break while motoring up or down the ICW as It can be very stressful with all the motor boats and jet skis plus all the things one could strike in the murky water. That is why open ocean deep water is so much more relaxing and tranquil. Jim Rodgers
Yeah I’d be happy to never go up/down the ICW again. Don’t get me wrong, there were some really cool parts and I got to link up with old friends along the way. The constant powerboat wakes, strong currents, skinny channel, and bridges; offshore will always be my first choice!
Dude, finally figured out how to sendyou a beer. We had the same issue at Saint Augustine. We nearly hit three different boats over four days with a Raymarine Navionics map fiasco. We loved the area with a little park near Cape Canaveral just to the north. What a cool place. I can’t imagine watching a launch from there.
Fogs real common in the Titusville area. That bridge stays open all the time right now. The bridge used to be for the train going into ksc bringing shuttle boosters. Been out of use since then. They have been rebuilding it and the rail line since the sls is using the same boosters. So soon it will occasionally go down for boosters. Those were pink Ibis. I thought the saame thing when i first saw them. They are rare, but you are sailing thru a national wildlife refuge with some of the most diverse ecosystems on the east coast.
Not far behind at all! If you come through St Mary’s stop in and say hey. Cool little town. I’ll be for probably another week or so and then keep on keeping on to… oriental NC?
@@SailinWithTrout I am on a mission to get back to my old marina. I have a Cape Horn windvane waiting! Tiller pilot was a total nightmare this trip, over heating for 3 hours at a time. If you make it to the Chesapeake reply to this comment when you get there, I’ll buy you dinner and beers at our restaurant. I’m on the Potomac just up from Point Lookout.
I had a similar experience with my tiller pilot last season on Song of Wind. Was so stoked to put the windvane on Nonamé! I will absolutely reach out if/when I make it up there!
Ahoy Trout Now you got some work & a job it'll take care of some of your needs It's been great getting to know you Thank you for the 12 Volt Service you did for me Happy Winds Achy Brother
@@SailinWithTrout Nice! Keeps you helping other people👍 I'm considering learning to weld this winter for when my wife and I hopefully move onto a sailboat.

Good to know about the bridge! I’ve seen pink ibis before, these were 100% flamingos🦩
Not far behind you Trout! Anchored at Piney Island tonight. Chesapeake bound after a winter in the Bahamas.

Living the life! I'm curious -- when you look for work, what type of work do you find?
Thanks! Usually boat projects. Lots of climbing masts, scraping bottoms, and whatever other handyman work’s available

@trailzable when you do, please pull up to wherever I’m anchored. I need some welding done 😂
Nice bit of ASMR
Wait till you get "Yummy yummy yummy i've got love in my tummy", by The 1910 Fruit Gum Co stuck in the old coconut! It's hated!😡
I just listened to it and now it’s stuck in my head… thanks a lot
@@SailinWithTrout 😁

Fair winds!
Power boats are annoying.
Oh yeah!
