No problem at all. Sometimes it can be tricky getting the shaft back in place. I found that out the hard way after greasing after every run after this video. Just be patient cause it will go in..
I can’t get my shaft back in. It slid out easily but now it’s like it’s hitting something right at the end of where is should come out at. Wow this is crazy
How did you do it to loosen the screw that releases the axis? I have been able to remove the rudder, but the other screw is stuck and there is no way to get it out. any trick?
Actually my brother is absolutely correct…the Kort nozzle was glued to the rudder steering shaft…the aft grub screw isn’t 1) easily accessible and is 2) filled flush with Chinese loctite that requires removing motor to pull shaft to drill the grub 🎉out…not possible to maintain without messing up, not straight in… and the universal is a wobbly piece of junk… After tearing up the boat to grind out the stuffing tube and break out the kort nozzle, we ended up replacing the drive shaft and stuffing tube with a .187 size flex shaft and proper collet, NOW we can actually grease the shaft and easily remove the prop… You omit showing several steps that I as well as others who have this thing have noted..the running gear is Not designed to be maintained which is a shame. As it’s an easy fix at the factory level
@nwirc Joe? Glad You're having a Better Time with Your's than I have had with mine 👍! I 'Rode' the Issues I had w/my Tugs pretty hard, but at the Minimum it looks like at least Horizon put Props with Thinner Blades on the Tug You have in this Video... and Truly I have Hope that Everyone's getting Better Tugs than I received! You are much better than I in Your Presentation, too, please keep up the Good Work and Keep Presenting a Great Counterpoint and Attitude towards the Tug, too. Your comment is just fine. These tugs are way overpriced, in my opinion and should have at least come with a brushless system. I'm not sure if they made changes, but these tugs are brittle and need to be handled with care. I do like the scale looks of it though. Thanks for the kind words.
I've been hearing this a lot recently. Try to remove that horn with the linkage above that pin. I'm starting to wonder if started glueing that pin into the rudder. They had to have done something different cause mine pulled right out with no effort.
Was there are resolution for this? I am encountering the same issue. It’s like the pin is almost a bit too long and sits deep in the rudder. It seems like I need to use some force to separate it, but it feels like something would break.
So what do you do when the head doesn't lift up at all? Now it's stuck, there's no way to get the drive shaft out. The other option is to bend the bottom piece of plastic until breaking pointo pull it out that way to get it off. Mine is stuck what a piece of c***
Yes, Brand new, another problem that I had with it was. There was glue in each of the set screws for the drive shaft in the motor and I have yet to dig it out.
@@andyperrelli6597 Man that's crazy. Why in the world would they do that? I'm always maintaining after each run. Maybe you could heat the tip of the hex bit to melt through the glue to get the grub screw out.
At least terminology if you are going to do an instructional video. It's not a canopy, it's a cabin, or superstructure. Turn thingy is called a Kort nozzle.
Looks soo easy! You are misleading and Wrong! This boat has several design flaws, and maintenance frustration nightmares…I’ve been doing rc and modeling for 50 years! I know what’s up and have a lot of tools. Simple maintenance is a fight requires extra steps. This video is misleading
How am i wrong? Sorry you feel this way but I know for a fact they had changed the design of this tug making it harder to service a year after the makings of this video. Get your facts straight before trolling in the comments. Or maybe I should redo this video without any edits to prove that I'm Not "Misleading and Wrong". Thanks for watching..
Good instructional video. Just got mine so comi g across this was beneficial
Thanks.
@@Robcadams1974 You're welcome. It's cruelly a great boat imo.
Sure looks like a 'CAT' boat to me! Nice video and explanation on your shaft lubing technique. Love the kitts too.
That's funny.. The cats sure do like stealing the show.
My favorite boat all lubed up and ready for action💪🏼If the cats hangout in the work area make em work!😂
Lol. Yeah they love hanging out under the lights when I have them on.
Thanks for the detailed explanation about lubricating the cardan shaft 👍🏻 I immediately subscribed to your channel 👏🏻

Awesome! Thanks! Just wish I would of found this 5 minutes earlier before I took the Propeller apart etc
No problem at all brother.
Isn’t there a grease nipple near coupler to add grease while rotating shaft so you don’t have to remove shaft?
Yes there is but I'm not sure how to grease it. I tried taking a syringe with a rubber tube thinking that would work but failed.
I can’t get my shaft back in. It slid out easily but now it’s like it’s hitting something right at the end of where is should come out at. Wow this is crazy
I had that problem before and it was very strange to me as well. Keep trying and it will go back in.

I'm pretty sure I have an older version. People have been having issues with the newer versions. Did you figure it out?
Just for your information sir. The "turn thingy" is called a Kort/Rudder nozzle.
Thank you..
from where you get this Battery adapter please. Thank you.
I honestly can't remember but it was either from Horizon, Ebay or Amazon.

Hermoso, alguna tienda en Miami que pueda comprarlo? Saludos
I tried to lift the servo-arm. It does not move at all, it does not matter how much power I use. Do you know what I must do?
Did you loosen the screw before lifting it?
Perhaps a stupid question: Which screw? The one in the servo-arm? Or is that screw for fastening the servo-arm to the axel?@@nwirc
@LCVMbergtraining Let me double check tomorrow afternoon. I'm at camp brother and promise to get back to you.
Same problem. The pin won't pull up. Haven't figured it out yet.

Mine is the pro boat pcf mk 1 swiftboat, does anyone knows how to remove the rudder at the back?
Hopefully someone can help you with this.
Mine Doesn’t lift up and come undone like that.
Maybe yours is newer or older than mine? Cause that plastic shroud should come undone from those two upper and lower tabs.
@@nwirc it doesn’t it’s like it’s joined together or something no matter how hard I try I can’t get it to separate.
Email me some pics. I'm curious to see your model. northwestindianarc@gmail.com

Me the same! I will need a lot of force it seems. I don't want to break things....

Honestly I think you have a newer version of mine cause I had no issues with mine.
What it doesn't tell you is the servo head is stuck and doesn't lift AT ALL!!!!
I've been hearing this complaint for a while. I can only assume you have a newer model then I do.
