Excellent, the t-shirt goes well with the car. 2 legends together ❤️
Thanks. Haha yeah, I didn't notice that until I started editing. I knew someone would notice. That's true! 👍
@@RCHobbyShed far beyond driven ❤️
Oh yeah, Mick is a true legend. Learn so much from him nearly every video.
Cool video, lots of good knowledge in there to be got! I got mine in the post office, will go pick it up tomorrow, right ready for my birthday the day after...
Excellent, it's really a very good job, the result is perfect. Great looking Tamiya !! 👌
Thanks mate! 🙂👍
@@RCHobbyShed 😊👍
Looks great! Love the gold wheels.
Thanks. Yeah, they do look pretty cool. 👍
Keen to see it run with a sport tuned motor. Looks fairly light so it may surprise
Yeah, I think with the LiPo it should have plenty of go about it. 👍
very nice my friend😎👍😊🇬🇧👊🤟
Thanks mate! 🙂👍
mick i love the way your videos bring out the build the way they do looks awesome , and will be good to see the runner vid real soon cheers mick
Thanks Andrew, I appreciate the great feedback.
Including this one there will be lots of running videos coming up. I've kinda got a bit behind with it but they're coming! 👍
The Pantera shirt matches the box perfectly, I think I’m going to try the turnbuckle on the steering like you suggested. I like the the buggy for being low end the transmission is pretty smooth and it’s stable too .
Haha yeah it does! I didn't even notice that until I came to edit the video 😂. Yeah the turnbuckle will sort that wobble out fro sure! That's right, I think they're quite good for the price. 👍
Thanks for making the effort to do a build video mate!, I was really curious about what this buggies made of and now I finally got to see it, including what causes the sloppy steering people are talking about👍.
How good does the black and gold motor look with the gold wheels, it was made for it🏅.
Nice work hiding your reciever too👌.
Great Vid mate 👍🦘🇦🇺
My pleasure mate! Yeah they're much the same as a Mad Bull, sloppy steering and all. Although on the Mad Bull I don't really notice it when driving, but that could be the big wheels helping out there.
Yeah I thought it would look perfect. Bit of a shame the gearbox kind of covers most of it though.
Thanks mate! 👍
@@RCHobbyShed
Yeh it does cover most of it but still better than the old silver can sticking out, nice touch mate👌
Nice one, Mick! Funny, I just built mine and popped over to see how you got on - I also fitted the ESC down in the bottom of the chassis after thinking it was too high on top of that plate - I ended up just leaving the plate off though! I'm looking at putting a plate under the driver in the body shell to block off the view to the electronics and servo inside... We'll see how it goes. Also, when I looked at mine with the plain black body fitted, like you I thought it would look cool without the stickers! Great build video, mate, looking forward to seeing yours finished soon! :O)
Thanks mate. Great minds think alike and all that. Yeah, I went to fit the radio plate and thought that's a lot of wasted space in the bottom, yet the driver will be crowded with wires. Makes perfect sense to me too. I had a similar idea too, to make it more like a proper cockpit but I'm too lazy 😁. Will be good to see yours when you do it.
I did think of using a piece of smoke coloured plastic to make a half window in the front. I looked at the driver and thought the poor bloke will be copping rocks in the chest (and maybe the nuts) when he's racing 🤣
I was going to leave the body and not even paint it but I changed my mind. I finished painting it today and wet sanded it, just started the polishing. Not sure why though, there's only about 2 square inches of paint that might be seen over the entire body once the stickers go on. 🤔😂
Thanks again mate, will keep an eye out for yours too! 👍
I think everyone is getting this RX its selling well it seems! Good value for money for sure and looks very flash!
I think so too. I think a lot are buying it just for the box, I don't really understand that but whatever floats their boat 🤷♂️. You're right, I think it's quite good for the price. Yeah the gold wheels and metallic sticker really make it pop. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed 👍
I’m building the same👍 can’t wait to see yours running with your set up.
Say hi to D boschy for me 🤪.
Oh nice! Pretty keen to see it go myself, I think it should go quite well.
Haha, will do! 😁👍
Awesome video as always
Thanks! 🙂👍
You should try to tie the two front suspension arms with one or two zip ties. That will makes suspension arms very sturdy. You can also wrap the suspension arms four points studs with any kind of tape. I use the excessive decals that come with the kit. I also use turn buckle for servo arms. I'm very happy with the results.
Thanks but I've not had any durability issues at all and it's been driven pretty hard and jumped a lot. As can be seen in the videos below. Cheers! 👍

I love these build videos Mick, wanted to get one of these but the wife just got a kyosho inferno neo 3.0 . Need a bigger house.
Thanks mate! Your wife made a great decision, the Inferno is a beast! Haha yeah, they really take up some space! 👍
These kyosho buggies go well, she has an old car Dbx ve 20 . It's only 3s but 55mph no problems . Takes a good beating with no diff problems or shocks leaking. Hopefully the new one is half as good, I'd still be happy. Still my favorite is the ultima ha,ha, got the majesty 600 to fly to , thing bounced all over the lake , pushed the battery as far forward as it can then dropped the trim tabs as low as possible. Things a beast maybe 60 k's or more. Very stable and cost was nothing to go brushless. Have a good weekend mate, enjoy the new beast.
@@petergoodwin2465 Yeah I've never been disappointed with a Kyosho. 55mph is pretty decent for 3s! Haha yeah, Ultima's are still my favorite too. I think for me it's because it was my first "real" RC. I mean, I had Grasshoppers and Frog and stuff before the Ultima but they just aren't in the same league. Lol 60k's is awesome! Your Majesty is kind of a sleeper, it's a cruiser but still kicks butt. Would be great to see that running. Sorry I didn't get back earlier, have a good week mate! 👍
@@RCHobbyShed true the majesty doesn't look like a speed boat but the thing goes well. May need a little bit bigger trim tabs when it's a bit choppy. Wife has the kyosho hurricane and that is top quality. Fiberglass hull and jumps out of the water from a standing start. Bought a beaten up Thunder tiger atlantic, they jump all over the place and unstable at higher speeds . Too light so I'll get it on 6s and bigger trim tabs . Still want a optima so I'm trying hard not to look!
There is an e-clip tool I bought a little while ago.. it's made by dynamite.. got it off eBay. Has a lot of different sizes from 1.5 to 5.0 .. was about $40 delivered.. from USA. Might be cheaper maybe thru a hobby shop in Australia not sure .
I actually have that one in coming in the post from the US. Only bought it last week so it maybe be a while. 👍
Hi Mick what grease do you use as extra apart from the grease in the build kit? Thanks
G'day Richard. I just use good old Petroleum Jelly. Some people say it's not good for plastic gears, but I've been using it for almost 40 years and not had any issues. 👍
Nice and clear explaining, good video. I have bought this kit also, and not only for the box (which I will keep with the RX), but just for the looks!
Small question, is the servo you are using a good servo for this model? Or is a 9kg with metal gears servo more suitable?
Thanks Jorin! Congrats on your RX purchase, it is a great little buggy and looks cool.
My servo is just a standard servo (Power HD 3001HB) which is only 4.4kg and has plastic gears. I find it more than adequate for this type of buggy. 👍
@@RCHobbyShed thanks for your advice, I am starting again with the hobby. Last model I have build is 10 years ago and my knowledge about the electrics is rusty. I will buy the same servo!
@@yorintheplace No problem at all, glad I could help. Welcome back to the hobby too! 👍
