+cuccs I went that route before...supercharged/turbocharged...too much of a headache. The car spent most of its time on jack stands. See some of my other vids. I simplified life and went naturally aspirated. This setup is by far the funnest I've owned.

+cuccs This setup feels close to the turbo power I had. My turbo was a hellion kit on a 331. It ran great for years until I got a bad batch of gas. It detonated and put holes through 2 pistons....that was game over for me with forced induction.

Are you running factory fuel injection or aftermarket? Does the tight lobe separation angle and long duration mess with the MAP sensor and cause it to run funny?
I'm running Holley EFI. Yes, the cam screws with the map sensor because of the erratic vacuum. Holley has a function - Fuel Control AE vs MAP RoC Blanking that will smooth out the signal which allows for smoother operation.

+BigzeeeN Solid cams can be daily drivers...not a problem. Yeah, I would use the dynomax for a daily driver. The only issue is they are cop magnets..because they are pronounced. There is no deafening drone on the inside of the car. You can also consider the Borla's straight flow design. They are quieter.

+Cody King Trust me...theres nothing weird sounding about it in person. It sounds like a throaty snappy 427. My iphone mic and your speakers cant do it justice. The xpipe does give it a different sound...but most cars have xpipes these days.
+Cody King It's the tail pipes making it sound like that. They sound much better coming out of the mufflers. I would rather have tail pipes though because it gets old hearing that under the car. Tail pipes will choke them down some though, you will lose some power.
Seriously? I managed to install the engine & trans, remove the factory wire harnesses, rewire/install & tune the Holley HP system, but managed to screw up the exhaust? Just screwing with ya! It's a 3" VRS tailpipe...that's the routing and style. They routed it that way to accommodate wider tires without rubbing.
It's EFI, Using BBK 1 3/4" longtubes - the 351 conversion set. I cut the 2.5" collector flanges off the headers and welded 3" flanges. The collectors are 3", so it worked great. x pipe - VRS from Florida.

Dyno way higher with stick. Auto dyno way less but faster. I have big stall c4 trans and deep gears in my 68 stang with 438 windsor. Dyno'd 530wheel with efi. Stick would have been 580wheel. My cam smaller than your at 627 lift and 256@50 with 11.35:1 comp.
I'm about to put together a 302w roller with 10.5:1 compression on GT40p heads with a 491 thou intake 476 thou exhaust cam at 107 degrees of lobe separation with 14 degrees of duration favoring the exhaust at 241 degrees. I'm hoping to run the timing at 35-36 degrees past TDC with methanol toploader injection from idle to redline ranging from 10% meth at idle to 40% around 6200 rpm. I'm thinking about a 650cfm holley street warrior carb on a screw supercharger. It should make around 400 horse on the stock block. When it blows I'll be upgrading to a 351w with an E-cam equivalent from Lunati and 4v cleveland heads with a boss intake and 750cfm carb. It's going into a 97 Mercury Mountaineer on 28x10.5x15 in grappler tires with 3.73:1 differential gears at the moment. I'm looking at 4.10s for it and to upgrade from an 8.8 inch rear axle to a 10.25 sterling and an overhauled front end. I'm keeping it fully independent in the front though. No more than a 4" lift. At that point ill be pushing 500 horse or close. It's gonna be a prerunner. I'll have to bring a ton of fuel but it should be some fun offroad racing!

fordracing331 Lol you got a point. I have a 90 Notch that I'm restoring /modifying. Just got the rebuilt 8.8 back all welded up and powder coated, Detroit locker, 9" ends and Strange axles. Bolted it up with tubular adjustable control arms and qa1 coil overs. Scored a new in plastic r302 block thats in the machine shop. Going to put a Vortech Ti trim. Should be bad ass but a real Long term to do. I think I'll not be driving in the winter for sure. Let's see the whole car man!

Every engine is different and I give them what they want. I'm at 25 degrees at idle and 36 at WOT. Are you running EFI? Lots of things to check

I forgot to add that the pipes do go over the axles, they go up and over than around the side of the gas tank. There's plenty ground clearance.

10.6:1, TKO 600, 3.55:1. Haven't changed the gears... I was running a turbo prior to this, so the 3.55's were perfect for that.

I'm about to put together a 302w roller with 10.5:1 compression on GT40p heads with a 491 thou intake 476 thou exhaust cam at 107 degrees of lobe separation with 14 degrees of duration favoring the exhaust at 241 degrees. I'm hoping to run the timing at 35-36 degrees past TDC with methanol toploader injection from idle to redline ranging from 10% meth at idle to 40% around 6200 rpm. I'm thinking about a 650cfm holley street warrior carb on a screw supercharger. It should make around 400 horse on the stock block. When it blows I'll be upgrading to a 351w with an E-cam equivalent from Lunati and 4v cleveland heads with a boss intake and 750cfm carb. It's going into a 97 Mercury Mountaineer on 28x10.5x15 in grappler tires with 3.73:1 differential gears at the moment. I'm looking at 4.10s for it and to upgrade from an 8.8 inch rear axle to a 10.25 sterling and an overhauled front end. I'm keeping it fully independent in the front though. No more than a 4" lift. At that point ill be pushing 500 horse or close. It's gonna be a prerunner. I'll have to bring a ton of fuel but it should be some fun offroad racing!

Simmer down Francis...I hear you dude...I'm not thrilled with them either, but I'd rather preserve the flawless 22 year old paint than sandblast the shit out of my quarters. Winters are tough on cars in the Northeast..... Be thankful I don't have them on the Scag mower.

Lol you got a point. I have a 90 Notch that I'm restoring /modifying. Just got the rebuilt 8.8 back all welded up and powder coated, Detroit locker, 9" ends and Strange axles. Bolted it up with tubular adjustable control arms and qa1 coil overs. Scored a new in plastic r302 block thats in the machine shop. Going to put a Vortech Ti trim. Should be bad ass but a real Long term to do. I think I'll not be driving in the winter for sure. Let's see the whole car man!
