i have no clue, or if i am high, but why is the production quality sooooo damn, good, the guy has a fantastic shirt, essence is so elegant, dude looks like trent reznor from the 90s. like damm
Found this video by accidentally and I can't believe I was able to relate to it at such a deep level. I've been pondering on switching on a phone of similar prowess for a very very long time and if I did, i would most certainly go for a flip phone, they remind me of a simpler time of my own, as yours did for you. Any recommendations as to what model should I get, if I were to swtich to one, one day?
Yes! The challenge with flip phones is the slow and buggy interface. If you’re leaving texting, gps, and email behind and you only need voice I think almost all the carriers have some version of a flip phone, but as I mentioned the interface will be bloody awful. Now if you still want to have the ability to use other capabilities with some level of ease I’d go with the CAT flip. I think that one takes the cake for flip phones that still function well. Xiaomi Qin makes a flip phone too I believe (that also has some important smart phone features like gps and email)
wish it had spotify. but I plan to get this once I get out of my corporate job that requires me to constantly be ready to respond... dreaming of that day.
Yes I’m with you on that, a streaming music player would be heavenly. Here’s the solution I’ve been using. I end up taking my iPad with me in the car. Link it to a Bluetooth FM transmitter and then pair it to the “Spotify Car Thing” which acts as a display/remote for choosing music. The iPad auto pairs to the devices so I never have to take it out of my bag.
There are versions of the same phone that can have spotify. The F30 is the kosher version that blocks almost everything. The F21 is the non-kosher version where you can install spotify. Afterwards just delete everything that you don't need and you essentially have the same phone as the kosher version with spotify on it.
Im with you, I kinda like the blackberries. If they made one functional enough for modern day usage I’d probably go with it myself. That being said. It does have a very responsive touch screen. Texting or even emailing is really non problematic. Obviously you would rather use a computer or larger device for excessive typing . But that’s kinda the point of the phone (to keep you off it)
I watched this video multiple times as I find very inspiring. Now I've two smartphones, since the company where I work gives me one. The crazy thing about this is that I hardly ever use the company phone, as I see it as a tool like a screwdriver or pliers. But my "personal" smartphone... is another story. I would like to give it up completely and going for a dumbphone, but I appeal to common sense and moderation (It's kinda hard!). When this one stops working completely, i'll go for a dumb phone with at least Whatsapp.
I relate to your struggle. Other than communication and intentional entertainment there really shouldn’t be a reason to be on a phone on average more than an hour or two maximum. Social media companies go through desperate measures to keep our attention, and in turn we must go through desperate measures to win the battle for our attention, and in so doing we are choosing where our attention and time is spent. I admire your desire to make a switch. There are some options out there with WhatsApp. I will be making a part two explaining one of them.
You had it? I was contemplating between this and that. Same display size, F21 Pro better specs......was worried about that was too good of a compromise because of its increased specifications, regardless of both display sizes being the same. Hmmm....@@AaronHuie
I have no more social media. I was 16 when android first came out. I remember all the days before, we watched as all of these social media apps began to become social engineering apps. I remember when Instagram first hit the play store. Now i literally have zero social apps. No facebook. Nothing. My phone has been put back into what it should be. A damn phone. Albeit i still use RUclips I've allowed myself this luxury to at least be able to see videos. So, basically the point is that i still have a smartphone, but its really only used to gather information or handle important matters like banking etc.
have nothing to complain, have 128gb of storage (only use for mp3 in case the online apps goes wrong) , 6gb ram, nfc and have a 3inch screen .... best device that i have in years!! ps: i have the iphone se 1gen with 4inch in case the jelly break . thanks for the video and lets live life !!!!@@AaronHuie
Yep. This one has GPS (Waze). It works very well. No WhatsApp though. That being said I may have a part 2 coming out soon that solves the WhatsApp problem. Stay tuned
I bought a Blu Tank Flip that only uses WhatsApp and I feel happy, it's only been 2 days but I hope to overcome my addiction to smartphones and social networks, etc.?
@@AaronHuie Sometimes it is a little uncomfortable to use, because since Android is not intended to be used on phones like this and it is the same application that you use, but at the same time the phone solves it, because the intention is to only use it to respond to one or another message and that's it. not be using it all day.
What camera are you recording with? The quality is amazing! And I’ve enjoyed this video, I’m dumbing down my smart phone before I make the leap. This is a great video that shows it is still capable of helpful tools without the distraction. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment. I do still very much enjoy using it. When I travel I do switch to a smart phone just the have the full “Swiss Army knife” of applications available to me. But this is still my default. That being said, I may have a part 2 coming out soon that enhances this system even more. (Still in the works) thanks for commenting
@AaronHuie truly appreciate the advice. You truly saved me alot of money, not to mention quick response time. Thank you. Guess I'm back on the hunt for a similar device that fits my lifestyle.
@ashtf cool, I did just saw on AliExpress selling them and it clearly shows on the pictures and descriptions what works with everything. Plus return policy... thanks for everyone helping me to make the right decision.
I actually just switched to the f21. I would recommend going F 21 versus F 30. The added functionality of the F 21 doesn’t really affect the addiction levels of the device There is a US manufacturer who reprogram the phones and distributes in the US to become compatible with American markets. So, that way you can also have access to other apps that are really helpful like Spotify or Apple Music.
Yea. I like to sometimes. (Also trying to give context to other folks who might relate to my specific story, since this phone requires a specific user)
I forgot about the phone for a minute lol. this guy is handsome.
Jose Briones is the GOAT when you need info on minimalist phones, man is dedicated to it and knows almost everything about them
Absolutely.
Oh really im going to check it out thanks man. 👍

Might be a little bit of both.
But the shiny shirt helps a lot;)
Probably filmed it on a smart phone
Apart from the audio lol, built in mic lets it down
Glad this phone is working for you! Good luck on the journey!
Thanks very much
Where can I get this? I can’t find it anywhere
Here in Australia the closest we have is the Opel Touch Flip, closely followed by Nokia 2720 (running KaiOS). I like the term "smart feature phone".
I'm gonna buy one. Deffo. Just found on Reels this phone. Now I'm watching your thoughts about this device. Damn. Live this phone
You should! Just make sure you get the right phone for your carrier. I ended up buying several others before I got the right one
Its a good day for me when guy looks like James Bond reviewing keypad smartphone xD new fan xD

it´s a great phone! Have it for 8 months now... the best solution to be sober with the usage of internet

If this phone had a qwerty keyboard like the blackberry phones, it would be the perfect phone to have.

Hi
Where can I buy it... I am from India. Please help
If I were you I’d go with the global versions. They have more capabilities as well. Go on eBay and search f21 pro global version.
Can the F30 use facebook messenger?
Everything else looks perfect for my lifestyle.
No it cannot use it

Hello, I am considering getting the xiaomi f21
I wanted to know if you still use your f30 and if there's really a difference compared to smartphones

Where would I go to order a reprogrammed one? I live in the U.S and want to make sure it’s compatible here.
What about security for online payments and so? Any major flaw?
2 factor authentication is supported throught txts
What about radiation emissions?
Wouldn’t know. I’d assume less then a smartphone.
Lmk if you find iut
Man try Jelly Star. :)
I’m the 626 sub
Get a microphone bro !! Thanks for the video nonetheless!!
Got any recs? I don't like mics that are visible on camera
Том Круз на превью.
with minor VFX you can be a young Steve Jobs
Haha nice. Or Ashton Kutcher maybe 🤔
What’s the name of it? Lol
qin f21/f22 pro, make sure to get the us version
I tried watching this but could only get in 5 seconds because of that shirt. Definitely can’t trust this guys opinion
What is with the shirt?
You realize for the first 3 minutes you talk about yourself while saying nothing informative about the phone at all?
Yea. I like to sometimes.
