I had used the f21 pro with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage in Germany. great device. Worked wonderfully. Then resold it. I've already regretted it because I'm constantly on social media with my galaxy s23. I ordered the 64 GB variant. Can really recommend it! The f22 is too big for me personally. Hello all, I got the internationall version of the F21 Pro, very happy with it. Here in France works just fine and I even have better recption that with my previous phone (Xperia E5 from 2016). Whith my unit once I powered it up the google Play store was crashing every time I interected with it (it did start up bat then crash if I attempted to do anything with it). I did a factory reset and it started to work fine. The whatsapp that comes preinstalled is a old version that needs to be updated, when starting the app it does attept to download and updat but failed every single time. What worked was to update it using google play as it was working properly. all apps that I have tried work just fine as they would in any other device. The TT9 keyboard works just fine and supports various languages at the sale time (Spanish and French in my case) that can be swapped with a long press of the * button (short press changes input mode from ABC to 123 to predictive).
For the volume up&down issue, true there is no dedicated button on the side but the 0 and 8 do the same function with a long press 0 for less volume 8 for higher volume. A,nother nice thing is that you can programe a quick access on the other numbered keys wicj makes easy access to the most used apps without the need to navigate to the app icon, pretty neat.
Overall very happy with it It has been just a week with it but for now at least I'm pretty happy.

Thanks for all the links! Really wish I looked into the band situation beforehand. But we'll see how it fairs in my daily locations. If it doesn't end up working too well. It looks like the f30 looks will be the one to go to.

Hi, I live in Canada Quebec and I bought the F21 global version. I love this phone , it works perfectly on the Telus network. The only thing that I had to do was use the 3G network, otherwise internet (Data)didn't work .
Hi I just bought the F30 and I am on the koodo network which is owned by Telus so I should have no issues right they use the same towers
Can you do a video on installing apps and virtual mouse for the TCL Flip 2? It will be beneficial for lots of people, especially those that want specific apps on their phone.
I noticed you have installed Magisk on the F22. Was wondering why? Also apart from the usability of the tiny on screen keyboard, how does the typing experience on the T9/keypad compare? Is the autocomplete as good as SwiftKey? Crappy texting experience is a big drawback for me, among other things

Argh, I used the e71/e72 until 2015 or so, when Whatsapp finally stopped working on it. I just loved these phones.
I have no personal experience with them, but there is a brand called Unihertz that has a few phones like that

Thinking of switching to one of these sure its got less specs than my current phone but I barely use it as is I just need some quality of life apps such as banking, whatsapp etc and listening to music

On the Google version yes. Some banking apps work without the Google version, but the Google one has them all working.
@@JoseBriones that's really good to know! these days in the UK, we need to verify purchases on card sometimes on the app while your at the checkout, so it's pretty key to have access to the banking apps.
may give the f21 a go! kind of got over the fact there may be no nfc.
@@JoseBriones also - so since the f22 came out, they have started selling official google versions of the f21 pro ? i don't remember these being for sale in the past, was a diy job, and hence would fail the security thing for banking apps,

Yeah. There are spots where it doesn’t work. But it’s not a major issue.

Really wanting the F30 for us. I would like the 4gb ram/64 gb rom version though. Do you know if that's on the table or are they sticking with the 3/32?
I've been looking for the f21 pro quite long way. But I couldn't find anyone to tell me if it works with bank apps. Like they require fingerprint or so to access. Bizum and other things work? Just to know which limitations they have compared to other smartphones.
F22 is a win for me, smartphone era + easy to use buttons, it will be perfect for older people.

Quick question tho! I’ve installed the tt9 app but is there any app that i can actually type without this “predictive” method? It’s quite confusing for me as i would prefer press it whatever number of times i need for the character. If you understand what i mean!

I’m super grateful for finding ur videos because i was struggling to buy a much less addictive phone that would still give me the ability to use it daily. Im super happy with my choice and you definitely helped with it.
The phone is so lightweight and it’s just enough to use whenever i need but also screen so small enough to get easily bored 😂 hopefully they will make one soon like old blackberry’s with a nicer keyboard. Or a smaller one but with camera for non American 😜 but great suggestions overall!!!

Than the k12 I can’t seem to find the app. On the google search it appears only physical mechanical keyboard…
I don’t mind this T9 app but I’m struggling to find the @ or any emoji?!? So anytime i type an email i need to change the keyboard to another digital one i have….

3:50 Whenever I open a message, the on-screen keyboard instantly pops up, blocking the entire conversation. I've always preferred for the keyboard to appear only when I tap the reply field. Despite the F22's larger screen, it doesn't seem to have made a huge difference. Anyone else experience this? If anyone has a fix to prevent the keyboard from showing up immediately, I'd love to hear it!
I don't like the T9 keyboard, I want to stick to on screen but can't understand the logic of having the keyboard pop up, before I have chance to read the message.

Old school T9 is an app that lets you do that. You can install it and use it that way.

I thought the same but I’ve check the phone and there’s nothing strange about it in terms of software…but lets keep in mind. It’s an android and there’s Google on it. It’s as private as any other device….if you know what i mean.
what i noticed is that the moment i started watching anything related to this phone i started getting disgusting adds 🤢. and after reporting they did give me the location of China

Ive been using a Nokia dumb phone for ever. I was born in 1968 i remember life without phones, internet etc. I never really got involved. I use my phone to make calls. I use my laptop for internet access. My reality is, i don't need to be contactable 24/7 and i don't need constant digital stimulation.

I have a f21 pro google version, for a reason I had to factory reset my phone. After resetting google play store is not working and I’m getting a message this device is not google certified 😢 what am I supposed to do? And thank you very much for the link tt9 keypad. Hey Jose, I just got the f21 pro and I cannot seem to use the keypad to type alphabets, it just types out numbers. Is there any fix to this?
Swiped down, select the Qinpad keyboard. Or install K9T9 or Old T9 or TT9 and use those keyboards.

Does anyone owning these have privacy concerns considering they’re a Chinese phone? Is there an alt. to a phone exactly like this that’s not from China?
The phone itself is obviously super practical and I’d argue it’s the best dumbphone just wish it wasn’t tied to china. (Not racist, solely privacy concerns)
