Nice review. It appeals to us because of a single entry feature, the floor is the same height as the threshold. Most people never notice, but if you have always driven pick up trucks, you do notice. Also for someone with mobility issues, being able to just spin in the seat and step out without having to raise your feet out of the well really helps. Due to a shorter garage door, we needed an SUV at 72” or lower, that would fit “full grown” adults.

How can a clock be outdated? Just because someone made a clock that works differently and is usually more complicated doesn't make it better. The simplicity of being able to push one button for the hour and one for the minute is the pinnacle of perfection for setting a clock.
You’re right. As a matter of fact, Toyota should have just stuck with a sundial!

Good review indeed. I recently took a neighbor's 2022 4Runner for a rather short drive. This was a Limited model. But should I get one, and I've always wanted one, I might just fgor for the SR5 as it apperas tp have everything I need. To me it drove like a car, and my fear that I couldn't see over the hood was assuaged after I lifted the driver seat which allowed me to see the end of the hood with ease. I'm far from 6' 5". Thank you for your reviews and please keep them coming. The issue is the dismal fuel economy but in such a heavy and capable truck that is not a big deal.

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. How far forward are the middle row seats when you fold the third row down? I want to keep them down until I need them but do not want to be too cramped in the middle. Thanks again!!

I love the clock and it's placement/design!
Really want this but the dealer is tacking on add ons and inflating the price. I’m going to sit out and buy it used in 2 years. Hopefully less than 25k miles.
Check out The Homework Guy, he has great advice for working with dealers and their obscene and unnecessary fees.
Shop around....I live in Wa state.......a few dealers around here has no markups.......check-out .... Puyallup Toyota or Olympia Toyota....as long as you don't go for the limited edition ones.
Same here, no patience for the add of all these junky add-ons, I'll buy when that stops.

Is pedal commanders good for 4 Runners?
You may see some benefits from them, but be careful because it could void any existing warranties on the engine, and in California at least it may cause the vehicle to fail smog check

Anyone in here know how capable my car is in the mountains? I'm the second owner so I'm not too sure what was added beforehand.
When you say “in the mountains” are you talking about taking it off road or driving in snow?
wow I didn't know Panasonic made lead acid starting batteries.
Panosonic used to be the OEM supplier of batteries for Subaru, but they were Subaru branded. Those batteries were garbage lol. I hope this one in this 4Runner is better.

The Panasonic batteries are really good. I got 6 years out of my battery on my Mazda before it needed replacing. The Mazda branded battery only lasted 3 years.

No it does not

I want to like these 4Runners, but there is no excuse for a 1990's interior design in 2023. Especially not for the price they are going for. Every competing vehicle in this category/price range is leaps and bounds more advanced. It's great that they have a reputation for having a reliable engine and transmission. However, most modern vehicles in this price range are reliable, if they are well maintained. If they want to continue to use the same design they researched and developed 15 years ago, they aught to pass some of that savings on to the customers who are compromising with the extreme lack of features.
Right on. The dealerships aren't budging with any kind of incentive with these these because they fly off the shelf without them. I can't justify these things for the cost. There are better alternatives. Maybe the honda passport? Tons of cargo space. AWD. Not the rick crawling capabilities but I'm not doing that ever anyway.

It is on a 4Runner. It’s too heavy
I really want to love these vehicles because I do want one, but that front end is too much for me. If they could just remove that unattractive chunky design and simplify the front end I think it will look great and then I will love it. I’ve looked back at the changes through the years and I think 2009 is the last year the front ends looked good to me.
Same. I'm trying to like them and they do catch my eye from the side view but from the front? Yuk.
Easy way for me to fix it was a bull bar up front. Looks better with it😎
