Central Minnesota
Richland, Washington. 😊
Hickory, NC
Auckland, New Zealand 🇳🇿
Had a 2007 Tacoma TRD 4x4. Best truck I ever owned! Sacrificed itself saving my son's life, he walked away without a scratch--Tacoma, not so fortunate. Forever grateful for the insane engineering and safety. Watching you from Guam, where America's Day begins. Keep it up!
I have a 1994 SR5 4Runner in white with tan leather seats. Still running and looks great. Love my 4Runner!
Weird way of doing reviews but I must say you have cracked me up several times. Great job man!
Bought a 2023 4R TRD Pro Solar Octane Wednesday. It’s awesome.
Berlin, MD
Love your videos and all tech information provided about Toyota vehicles
I had a '98 4Runner back in the day, and kicked myself ever since I got rid of it. Just got a used '16 SR5 and I'm stoked! I personally love the fact that these haven't changed for years, and are considered somewhat "low tech" compared to other vehicles on the market. These things are tanks, and I expect to drive this for many, many years! Why redesign? It's perfect. I don't see Jeep Wrangler coming out with a redesign, why would they.
I’m watching from Colorado, Jeff!! I love your content!!
Hey Jeff, love your videos! Watching from Morganton, Nc. I love the 4runner so much and can't wait until I can buy one
Great auto vlog! Great presentation. Watching this from Plano, Texas, United States. Greetings!
Awesome and thanks!!! Welcome!
I am so happy they did not change the tried and true power train. I still have a chance to get it.

I’m from Gainesville Florida. Watched many of your videos, you are informative and funny 😅
Really enjoyed the video. Watching from Chino Hills, CA. 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles
TRD OFF ROAD 👍 Hello Jeff from PA. Love your presentations. Thanks 😊
Yes I bought a 2021 4 Runner TRD off road and it is the most complete car you can get....most reliable power train, most dependable engine and transmission. It's got a full sized spare tire too. This is the most road worthy car on the market today. Get one before Toyota changes to a 4 cylinder turbo next year.
trd off road.. one the few that still has a. true shifter for the transfer case best off roader ever 109" wb best break over angle every thing is a luxury car, poser ,as a off roader 2nd place GX460
It's very reliable but it isn't the most reliable. The myth of the Toyota cult. It's top 5 for SUVs but not the best. And being reliable does not make it the most complete. It's technology, fuel efficiency, and safety are below average.
@@paulelledge8977 The technology is old but that made it most reliable as Toyota has refined it for 15 years. Fuel mileage is very good for a suv of this size. I'm currently getting 19 .
@@donjose6520 yeah 19 isn't good, it's ok at best. Many SUVs do better. And it is reliable, but it's not the most reliable. That makes it far from most complete. It's a good SUV that needs a new transmission and updated crash safety ratings at the least.
@@donjose6520 the Sequoia is much bigger and makes a lot more power and gets 5 mpg better.
Just had one as a rental, now I want one, that amazing sturdy marshmallow ride. Drives the same if you’re alone or if you have 4 other people with ya. Fairport ny….
Connecticut here. Bought this vehicle today in RED.
Does the warranty allow for a specific number of lickings and tickings?
Watching from Auckland, New Zealand. Originally from South Africa. I want to see the 2023 RAV AWD Limited Hybrid. I have ordered one. Thank you for your informative videos. Really appreciated.
Jeff, thanks from Houston Texas
SW Washington State Jeff. Bought a '21 4R TRD OR Prem KDSS after watching your videos. Thanks, and keep 'em coming.
Watching from Bujumbura.... great stuff guy
Is third row standard in SR5 trim? if it is an option how much it cost?
California and I love to watch your show.
Looks a lot like the last one. And the last one before that. And the one before that one. And the one before that. And the one before that. And that . And that one. And the one even before that one.
Lolol
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it
😂😂😂
@@stay4theride fuel econ and crash safety are very Broken. Other than that it’s great.
Lol funny but for some reason it will keep on selling
Im watching from toronta canada. Looking forward next year, a used one sr5

Honolulu, Hawaii represent! Home of the popular Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner!
NYC in the house. Lol. My only complaint for my 22 trail is on long trips I leave an elbow dent on the center console. It takes a couple of days to pop back up

Watching from Wilmington NC. Could we get a in-depth review of the SR5 premium trim???

Watching from South Korea!
Jeff, I’m watching your video review from Vicksburg, Mississippi. 🎉
Although actually I'm in Nashville tonight....so Nashville TN is my answer :)
Jeff, I'm in Richmond, TX, and enjoy your videos and appreciate your dry humour. The engine the GR V-6 is the best engine Toyota has ever made, period. Any mechanic worth his weight in gold, will attest to this IMO. The Toyota GR engine family is a gasoline, open-deck, piston V6 engine series. The GR series has a 60° die-cast aluminium block and aluminium DOHC cylinder heads. This engine series also features 4 valves per cylinder, forged steel connecting rods and crankshaft, one-piece cast camshafts, and a cast aluminium lower intake manifold. And, this is the last year for that engine. It's naturally aspirated with no turbo and it is not "direct" fuel injected. It has the A750 5-speed bullet proof transmission. Also, one of the best Toyota transmissions (Aisin) ever made. It is old school for folks that love this kind of tough vehicle. You can trip it out based on how much money you want to spend. But you better do your research about the different models.
So folks, if you want one, you better buy the 2023. I envision that they will put a turbocharged-direct fuel injected engine in their 2024 models. It's for CAFE emissions control to meet U.S. government regulations. This 2023 truck is built in Japan; however, I would bet a donut to a dollar, that the new ones (2024) will be built in Alabama, YUCK!
Toyota keeps postponing the release of the new 4runner which is a great thing.
It’s not the last year for the platform
@@LaheyJ As per reports, one of the biggest changes for the 2024 4Runner is likely to be the engine. As we know, Toyota has been making its engines smaller and more efficient for its trucks and SUVs, adhering to the regulations, and the 4Runner is no exception.
The former 4.0-liter V6 engine might be discontinued, and instead, we might get a new 4-cylinder engine as standard. It could be the turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that Toyota uses in some of its latest models. This engine belts out 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, which is a lot more torque than the older V6 motor.
Toyota is also going to upgrade the 5-speed automatic transmission to a 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.
@@LaheyJ In addition, Toyota is moving all its body-on-frame trucks and SUVs to its new TNGA-F truck platform.
watching from Florida
I love that Toyota has retained the column shifter and not gone for rotary shifter. Which I feel can be dangerous. What if the chip fails controlling the dial shifter?
Watching from Nigeria 🇳🇬. Big fan of the 4 Runner
I'm a 2015 SR5 Premium... that looks just like this one minus a few interior updates.. . Just praying to be able to get a new Generation at some point without having to be on a mile long waitlist LOL
You have beautiful hair
GOD DAME that 4.0 V6 engine have been in production since 2002 and its still still in production.
That engine was in the 4th gen 4runner, 5th gen 4runner, FJ Cruiser, and the 2nd gen Tacoma.
20 years now...
It's a good engine, but 20 years in production GOD DAME...
Don’t worry. You’ll get your unreliable turbo 4 banger in the next gen.
@@M.A.T.T.A.L.I.A.N.O That's the rumors so far a unreliable 4 banger turbo...
SC in the building 💪🏼
Glad there's a front wheel drive option. 4wd will cost more to maintain, repair, cost more at the fuel pump and not to mention won't protect you when someone else's car slides into you. The weight of the truck itself should keep it steady if not driving fast and good tires
What’s up Jeff!! Watching from Honolulu, Hawaii. I have a 21 ORP, heard there’s gonna be one more year of the 5th gen 4Runner🤔.
Hi there!!! Yep a little longer wait :)
Like your video from American Samoa

I love Toyota 4runner sr5 👍 I am big fan Toyota 4runner truck sr5
Watching from Dorado, Puerto Rico. I'm trying to decide between Highlander vs 4runner.
If you are not going off road the Highlander is better on the road.
Unable to build a 2023 Trail Edition on the Toyota website-anyone else having that issue?
Hey Jeff, when will the 4Runner have a redesign??
Watching from Houston
Watching from ft Myers Florida where hurricane Ian flooding took both my vehicles. I knew what I wanted this now to take on the flooded ruined roads

Hi Jeff, L.A. here. Any differences between the 2022 and 2023 models?
2023 comes standard with blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, even in cheapest base trim.
@@braetonwilson4296 Thanks!
Washington state and I have 2021 SR5 trim. I love it.
What's your average mpg?
@@ceciliaabdalla4954 unfortunately I don't pay attention to mpg because I'm only attracted to V6 4L engine and the reliability.
@@lot5953 yep enjoy your bulletproof tank 💪 The gas you spend is alot better than buying a new car when these turbos and cvts start having major problems every 10 years. The days of car reliability are gone thanks to government regulations
@@ceciliaabdalla4954 totally agree with the government regulations. Now everyone is moving to turbo so I'm glad that I got 4runner before they put turbo in it like they already did with the Tundra. Soon there will be no V6.
Alabama ordered a Trd OF premium xp two weeks ago can’t want
Watching from Colorado. I wanna know what you're thinkin. Baby what's on your mind ? 4Runner is on my mind
Barranquilla, Colombia.
2021 sr5 premium . Best car i’ve ever owned. Previously an european turbo and supercharged suv. No more turbo crap for me. Hope toyota doesnt get into that with the 6th gen
They will the US government is regulating for better mpg. The days of car reliability are long gone with turbos and cvts
New Orleans........looking to move up from my FJ Cruiser to 4 Runner. TRD Off Road Premium before the redesign hits.
