30 June 1990 - Eric Clapton and guests
Knebworth Park, Knebworth, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, GB
Note: Last three songs are missing footage. No other details are available about the footage.
All thanks to Mikey Mike for sharing - as well as to the unknown taper.
The entire concert was professionally filmed and recorded. Eric Clapton team should publish the entire show, as Pink Floyd did with his part last year.
The OLD LOVE was worth the price of admission for the entire festival. Eric's level of soulfulness was completely off the charts.
I've had this on cassette for 30 years recorded from the radio, waited 30 years nearly to see Old Love!
Me too, the first solo is simply breathtaking!
First time I seen old love video since that day. The sound went out in the back I found out in the beginning of the song. I was a little ahead on the right side of this. Love this
Damn right

that was the performance of the whole show, utterly breathtaking...
He was smoking hot in 1990 - loved the tone from those Soldano's
Agreed. Looking over my right shoulder right now and there's a Soldano amp sat there. They really are amazing!
The B String snap is the 2nd best handling of a guitar string snap ever! ... SRV grabs #1 though with his smooth transiition! :)
Check bbking change of strings
Dang good sound ! Thanks for a nice share. Love that the wind did not make a rumble.
I never get tired of this era of late 80's to maybe mid-90's.. no bad EC eras when he hit Chicago..( none for 10 years now? Midwest neglect sux)
90's were tough time for me (car wreck permanently stopped a much wanted, earned the hard way w long hours-career.)
Unthinkably hard to adjust being down for the count. But we loose most everything. And we must carry on..with great musicians to take us in, thankfully. Saw EC's Nothing but the Blues tour, Chicago. The exact year is maybe 93..Spellbinding. Re-inspriring a passion since seeing Cream play in a small club in Chicago..in '68. I was 16 and worked a 'breaks only' to relieve the ice cream station server..among other junk food delights to soothe hungry freaks needing to get their sugar fix..to balance the buzz?!
Imagine a job that was too fun for full timers to take a break from serving local freaks. Actually I was a wing- man woman at 16 there..me best pal wanted to come with to a 3 nites a week to this new club..to stand by and be findable..poor woman looked like a young Elizabeth Taylor. I looked like jail bait. The manager was a gentleman..but i like to think my presence, wandering somewhere in that club was smart. Like if we had to bolt. 2 chicks safer than one..So we saw all the best bands that were not just yet bigtime-famous-just before breaking on thru to the big-time side..including Jimi and Cream. (saw '64 Beatles across town on our own at 12) Doors '69 @The Auditorium a date!..mild riot..but great..'72 Stones @massive Soldiers Field.. +too many more bands to mention in the late 18 months at that club..seeing 3 bands a nite..none were bad.
2 of 3 needed no intro. Like jethro Tull. The Jefferson Airplane( before IT was diwn to Gracie Slick. Al Kooper (Bob Dylan early backup made him famous..no, not the live bird chomper. He was the original lead and creator of Blood Sweat and Tears..(managed tons of great bands)-was a cool guy..just walkin thru the mob..offered me a spot in the high-up seating..his woman wasnt having that.
Almost nothing else was close or equal (imho) to Jimi, and Cream up close. I waited by the stage for an hour..was up front and center..one foot tall "stage"..+ No Security to block the view of Jimi .. and no drama, but a pure awe was felt..no joints landed on the stage..+ No bags with honesly pure W.Coast acid was thrown or flying to the stage. Unlike the claims that were Highly..
over Blown! But he sure deivered.
P.S. The Old Love version right here- very extended- really Kills !
I’ve been watching Knebworth 90 official footage for 30 years, and never once seen a view from the crowd. This is excellent. There’s sooooo much that wasn’t broadcast. Thanks for the upload.
