It has to reach extremely low HP levels to do so, though, and that might take too much luck… If so, give Chinchou Screech and try to capitalize on greater confusion damage and Flail damage. Maybe that will allow “Cheencho” to get past Bugsy and Rival 2 without needing too much luck.

Agreed, I went in at full HP, but lower HP would have helped. Still the Attack stat is what is holding it back, since even when on 1 HP we're not OHKOing anything.
The legendary gerbils! And yeah, nice predications. The issue with the last couple episodes is that we know how the Legendaries will do this early in the game, but Celebi in the next episode could be tough....

What if you gave aurora beam to both fossils? I think it would help kabutops but ima Star still can’t outspeed bayleef
Yeah, It think we'd be resetting for the Razor Leaf miss either way.
I think that for Falkner battle with Jolteon you should’ve gone into the battle with jolteon at a lower hp I think it could’ve made the battle easier

Finally the second gauntlet is coming to an end, only for things to get worse immediately afterwards. 3rd gym is gonna be pretty nuts.
Agreed. We do get some nice things though - Rollout, Quick Claw, Elemental Punches, Headbutt, Return, and technically Game Corner TMs.
The Houndoom line is my favorite introduction from Gen II. I loved Gen II so much.
