    If a child is destroying my house, I don't give a damn whose child it is, they will be stopped. If I have to scold (not hit) a child for messing up my things and his mom gets mad at me for doing it, the kid AND his mama can both get the hell out!

    As a parent, you know your child. If you're not going to be persistent and consistent disciplining your child, keep 'em at home where they can run around, tear up 'ish, and cause all kinds of problems. Some mothers can be just as annoying as their child with that constant, "stop it!"

      A lot of times parents have a diff approach to dealing with their child than you might envision them to. Sometimes a parent will wait until the excitement settles down and reprimand them in private, because it's more effective (you wouldn't want someone to scream at you in public, would you?) or sometimes they are choosing to pick their battles. You really can't judge,

And the dad was like, it’s ok your ok I said, no I’m not ok! And you need to tell him one, I don’t like to be disrespected and two life doesn’t work that way you can’t go along in life hitting people. And he stopped omg I then talked to the dad after and was like, I’m sorry I yelled but, your child was so disrespectful and in my space

      @@adrianasandoval2959 that sucks. People believe because little kids are so small and can't hit hard as teens or adults that it's funny or acceptable. Then they do it as they get older.. it's not so funny or cute anymore and hard to stop them. Letting them be monsters until it's not cute anymore is too long to wait. I would've grabbed that child and flipped him upside down and held him by his ankles until the dad took him away lol. They can't say I'm hurting them because I wouldn't be.. some kids actually like it. But their stuck lol

    I AM Cousin Jeannie! And I'm so glad she kept it real and mentioned that on here!! Everyone looks at me funny if they catch me giving the kids a look or if I let out the occasional growl if the "look" doesn't work (they don't understand why a grown woman is growling at them, and that ALWAYS makes them fix their actions/attitude/whatever it may have been). BUT, I have never seen anything wrong with this. I'm not being mean to them, I'm literally usually just confusing them because they're not used to someone doing that... And it's never NOT worked. So, hey, I don't care! If you're kids gonna act a fool, I may growl at them.

Not only did I stop keeping the child, but eventually it got to the point where I didn't even want to hang out with the mother because her child was too unruly.

  • @MsTwheaton
    @MsTwheaton 5 лет назад +16

    I feel like if a friend or family is babysitting my kids, I have no problem with them disciplining them because discipline keeps the child safe, and lets the child know that they have to follow rules. As long as the discipline fits. If I'm out in public and my child does something that I didn't catch, it's perfectly fine for a stranger to let me know. A stranger is not allowed to talk to my child in any manner because I taught them not to talk to strangers. But let me know and I'll rectify the situation.
    If you invite someone over, and their child is recking your house, and they are not doing anything, you have every right to ask them to leave and send a bill to the parent. People have to respect other people's property.
    My daughter is on the lower autism spectrum, so when we go out to other's people house, I'm watching her like a hawk and make sure that she isn't doing anything to hurt herself or others. Same in public.

    I know I’m not on “The Real”, I like the show and everything, and I love Tamera, but wrong. I disagree with every single one of them except Jeannie. All of that niceness that Tamera was saying when a child could be breaking crap at your house... Number one. If a child is breaking stuff at someone’s house, (breaking. Not broke. As in repeatedly, not stopping) then that obviously means this is allowed by their guardian which suggests that they don’t care. I don’t care whose kid it is, if you’re breaking my crap, I’m saying something. It’s the parent’s fault for bringing the kid over and not having a talk with them in the car beforehand if they allow such insanity at their house. Number 2. Loni said about Aden hitting her, his punishment was a hug??? That’s wild to me. She said she knew he would do it again, so is hitting allowed??? That’s confusing to me. For most kids, all it takes is a serious “NO.” Listening to how Tamera’s mom is, I bet not a single one of them ever hit their mom. Bet. 🤔 I know people’s parenting styles are different and I’ve learn to respect that but hitting, no. Tearing stuff up??? Wrong. And I can’t see how anyone is okay or allows their kids to do that. You do that in my house, you gotta go. And if you have a problem with it, whatever relationship we have can go too.

    Uh hello, if your child is bullying my child and you aren't doing something about it, I will say something.
    Again I would give you a chance to fix your child but if you don't I will :) and if my child is bullying your child go ahead & tell my child to back off and be nice. Two way street. As long as the intention is to teach.
    Also I wouldn't touch the child o.o she said if anyone touched her child.... Ya don't touch other people's kids lol.

      I get where she is coming frim... If youra stanger go to the parent first and if they dont do nothing then take ypur child somewhere else. If the parent never discipline, then you are wasting your time saying something to the child he wont understand if he never been taught right from wrong..

    It depends on how well the person knows the parent... I know for me my sister says i can discipline her children... Like i think its different between family and friends... And then there's when strangers try to discipline ur kid and that is a NO-NO

    Personally, I’d excuse it if they were doing something that didn’t affect my child-they’re not my child, so it’s not my place to discipline. But if they were doing something that was (hitting, biting, throwing things, name-calling, etc.) I’d definitely intervene and tell them what they did wrong, why it’s wrong and what they can do instead.

    Yesss friends or family members should NEVER touch those kids but rather talk to their parents about how they feel. Kids are kids not grown ups or teenagers. Everyday is a new day to learn for them. As parents we teach our kids daily on how to behave.

    • @nialapin
      @nialapin 6 лет назад +24

      Kick them and their kids out of your house. I'm sorry but just because you decided to have a child doesn't mean that when I'm kind enough to open my home up to you, that I somehow have to deal with the consequences of having children as well... that's just incredibly inconsiderate and if you feel like you're being rude for kicking them out, just keep reminding yourself that your feelings and belongings are your concerns, not them or their child. If they're not being considerate towards you, no matter how kind and hospitable and polite you are, you have absolutely every right to let them know and end the exchange if it gets out of hand. A lot of people will take full advantage of another person's kindness and aversion to confrontation and the one who suffers is the one who didn't ask for the situation to begin with, you're completely justified and within your right to set boundaries and limits.

    Being a Pediatric nurse there are times that I have had to deal with things when mom and dad came in. Only when the parents are not at home and I had to follow the parent's plan.
    I have to say that I have spoken to one child that I didn't know in some way. We had just gotten off the train at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was Veterans day and a group was having a program for Veterans whom had fought with. So we stopped to give respect when they began to play taps. While this was happening this child of around 3 to 5yr old, comes running down the sidewalk while screaming, just normal playing outside! He was going to the Tomb. The parents were way back behind him pushing a stroller. I knew if that kid got the Tomb running and screaming(not a temper tantrum), I knew that the Guard would whip around, holding his weapon, and would scream at the boy for not being respectful. They don't care if it is a child or adult they aren't going to allow someone to run around screaming. So I nelt down and told him that he has to be quiet or you will be yelled at by the soldier. Well here comes mom and dad, I said to them that I didn't want him to get yelled at by the soldier, it doesn't matter if they are children or adults. . They said thanks, and then kept him with them the rest of the time. Frankly, I think the child was way to young to be taken to Arlington. They don't have the knowledge of how to behave and aren't going to understand why they need to be quiet! Not a good place for young children.
