Don't listen to some of the comments, getting a tour guide was definitely a good idea. First, yes, for safety reasons, since most neighborhoods in Rio have a lot of pickpocketing, specially in crowded places downtown. It's not 100% safe for natives and we already developed a sixth sense to deal with it, imagine a couple of tourists in the middle of downtown. Second, there's too much to do and eat in the city! It is huge and I love the foods Guilherme showed to you, they're real street food we eat and they look delicious! One important thing though: we rarely eat with bare hands, 99% of the times we use a napkin to hold the food and another to clean our hands after, especially some of the greasy food. Despite everything we are very hygienyc! Love from Brazil

You must do a tour like this in Belo Horizonte, a city in Minas Gerais state. Minas Gerais is known by the food, mountains and kind of country side state. Near Belo Horizonte you can visit historical cities, places with nature beaty, water falls ( Tabuleiro water fall), Santuário do Caraça and more. In the capital city of Brazil, Brazilia, near there you have two places that are a must, one of than is Goias Velho and the other one is Chapada dos Veadeiros (this one is a natural park, with lots of water fall and laguns to swin). Another place on your list, Salvador in Bahia state. Salvador has one of the unique cultural divercity in Brazil even for brazilians, the food is totaly different and the vibe also. In Bahia state you can have a look at Chapada Diamantina. After that, the Noth East of Brazil, Lençois Maranhenses, João Pessoa, Maceió, Fortaleza and all the atractions they would recomend in that region. I'll be in Rio in April and you've given me some great recommendation! I've definitely heard of Confeitaria Colombo. I believe the chicken dish you had there is called Coxa Creme. I've not heard of Opus but that's also now on my to-go places to eat! The sandwiches look incredible.

Fantastic video. This is a really cool alternative tourist activity in Rio far removed from the usual info about Rio that talks about the usual tropes such as copacabana and Christo redentor. Guys, the first version of the coxinha was exactly like this, literally a chicken thigh [with bone and all] breaded. Then they added the dough and then made the coxinha as we know it, but they still used some chicken bone to decorate and make it look like the old "coxinhas", finally, they removed the bone. And left with this form of gout.
He should have taken you guys for a brazilian-portuguese culinary tour in Cadeg! and you could also get fruit from the fruit market there. The restaurants there are amazing, and belong to families who are in Brazil for generations, so they give the dishes a local spice.
I love that you're doing what most os people is afraid of: walking around the city with cameras and microfone, and speaking another language. That is what shows people that the city is not the terror that people say it is. Of course there ir danger everywhere but it isn't impossible to visit Rio.
Brazil is beautiful! It is worth a visit to the Northeast (Porto de Galinhas, Maragogi, Jericoacoara etc.)... fine white sand, clear or deep blue waters, diving to see corals, dunes, lakes, beautiful beaches and some food different from here in the south.

Hey guys! The most beautiful beaches I visited until now was in a city called Ubatuba, which is in São Paulo state, northeast part. It's a city which has aproximately 90 beaches within it's territory. And boy they are a beauty to behold. I reaaly recomend you to spend some time there!
The "orangish" of brazilian food should be coloral/urucum, that's really common as a local seasoning (when it's not spicy). And the creaming feeling normally came from adding wheat flour or corn starch.
I just get news here about a fruit Scam in Sao Paulo Central Market, and the guys who did this thing is now being sued and getting a lot of fines from the Market Administration, so your episode maybe exposes this practice and show for a lot people this scam shouldn't happen. Brazil is a great place with a lot nice people, but like everywhere exist some bad apples.

It is worth a visit to the Northeast (Porto de Galinhas, Maragogi, Jericoacoara etc.)... fine white sand, clear or deep blue waters, diving to see corals, dunes, lakes, beautiful beaches and some food different from here in the south.

Hey guys! The most beautiful beaches I visited until now was in a city called Ubatuba, which is in São Paulo state, northeast part.
It's a city which has aproximately 90 beaches within it's territory. And boy they are a beauty to behold. I reaaly recomend you to spend some time there!

I just get news here about a fruit Scam in Sao Paulo Central Market, and the guys who did this thing is now being sued and getting a lot of fines from the Market Administration, so your episode maybe exposes this practice and show for a lot people this scam shouldn't happen. Brazil is a great place with a lot nice people, but like everywhere exist some bad apples.
