Muito bom
That was so sad to know you had problems with the car rental
I'm so very sorry that this happened to you guys! Unfortunately rental car companies in Brazil are really really bad, very exploiting.
You will allways be welcome here and we love you! Hope that your next destination can make up a little bit for this unfortunate episode.
Me atrasei pq precisei dormir.
You guys!!!! You are authentic, unique, Steeve is super fun and Ivana is always up to anything! It was a pleasure meeting and getting to know you here, experiencing Brazil more than most of us who have never travelled this much through our own country. Keep the job going and showing us the REAL experiences!!! You are fantastic!
I'm sorry to hear about all that happen to you guys. Hope the next adventure goes well, and hope your time here was unforgetable!
It’s always such a bummer when things don’t work out. But the beauty is seeing how well you work to support each other through it. Your relationship will only get stronger from these unexpected experiences. Sending love and appreciation for all you both do. ❤
You're not truly brazilian unless you've been through a "perrengue" 😄
Now it's oficial!
Best wishes, guys! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us
I’m so sorry you had to deal with the bs from the corporate office.. hopefully we’ll see you in Brasil soon again, it was very fun watching you guys in our beautiful country, hopefully you’ll still have very fund memories of BR. You almost got to visit my city (João Pessoa) really wish you had made it, it’s beautiful!
Thank you for showing your experience!
Thank you, Renata❤
@@JetLagWarriors De nada! Kkkkk!
I'm playing! Even with these problems I loved this vlog! Come back soon! Kisses Ivana and Steve 💕
Muito Bummer! I can’t believe how patient and kind Ivana was to Steve when he locked the keys in the car. Classy lady!
I am so sorry 😣 I wished I have seen you guys in João Pessoa 😢I hope to see you here next time. Stay safe!
Rental car companies are always like that guys! Not only in Brazil, I had similar problem in Italy. So sorry you had to experienced that in Brazil. Anyway, enjoy your journey wherever is your next destination.
Oh man that's so sad! Good luck to you both
Vcs são bem vindos aqui no Brasil todas as vezes .🇧🇷
Love seeing your whole journey in Brazil and and can’t wait for your comeback!! So glad to know you loved our country and have been showing your amazing experiences all over the place 🇧🇷💛💚
I feel so sad that this happened at the end of your trip, but I hope you take only the best from Brazil. Come back soon!
i'm so sorry.. such a bad experience you guys had in these last days. i hope you come back again to brazil
we will miss you here
Despite the events you are being very positive. It will work out, sometimes a problem is an impetus for better events. I loved accompanying you, when it's possible come back. You are very loved
I was so upset to read that you guys are leaving!! I am so sorry for what happened but know that you guys are really dear to us brazilians!! Come back soon!! You will be always welcome, I love watching your videos.
oh no. that's a real bummer. But we really hope you guys come back later in a better occasion! Thanks for visiting us, you made me see more of the beauty of the Brazil in ways that even I didn't know existed. I hope you have a great next adventure!!
What a bummer! I'm sorry those things happened to you!! I guess you can try it again in the future. I love your videos by the way.
Just watching your Livestream from Canada and happy see you at home with your mom...I can't post comments so just leave my support to cheer you both here..hope you will both spend more time with Steve's parents in Canada
I am sorry guys, I remember you had trouble with the car rental in the first place, needing someone to help you in Portuguese to extend etc. It was good in the end that the person at the Natal office spoke good english, he was able to clarify things which enabled you to make the best decision for you financially, rather than maybe having a surprise fee at drop-off in Salvador which would have been much worse.
As Ivana said, maybe it’s a blessing in disguise. Maybe something else would have happened in Recife or somewhere else in the original plan, you’ll never know. Sometimes things like this that look painful might just be saving us from something worse.
Looking forward to your next adventure! Take care of yourselves!
Yes. The mistery of fate is endless.
Thanks Amelia!
Yes, the man working in Natal Movida was super helpful. He really wanted to help us, but because of the corporate system, he couldn’t do anything.
We wanted to return the car in the same city we rented it from (Salvador). And planned to make some stops along the way back south. But when we wanted to extend the rental, we were in Natal. So they count that as renting/returning from another city just for doing the paperwork. This was not explained to us when we picked up the car. They made it sound very easy to extend. They said all we need to do is call. It was not the case.
But yes, everything happened for a reason.
Knowing Northeast Brazil as I know, yes, many bad things could have happened to him. I am glad they ended their trip safely. That's what's most important.
@@mariedjasilva352 10 of the 50 most dangerous cities in the world are from northeastern Brazil. Recife, my hometown, is included. Does that answer your question?
I love your videos you are incredibly incredible, sorry for all this trouble. I eagerly await your return to Brazil, until then I will continue watching all your videos, they really entertain me and help me learn English :)
this was jetlag warriors' kafkian episode! a 16-hour drive (plus breaking into a car lol) still classifies as an adventure though... apart from (because of?) the problems, this was a great episode as always
I am so sorry you guys had to go through this! Hopefully, all good times ahead. Is there a part 2? Did you end up having to leave the country?
I'm really sorry about it! Have a nice travel and Brazil waits for you again!
I love all your videos ! I love so much that I've stopped watching every single new video to just have more to watch in a row.
But what I LOVE more is your guys love for Palmeiras ! You guys really dive into it!
I'm so sorry about what happened Steve and Ivana. I hope this doesn't discourage you from returning more often and getting to know other parts of our country.
we will come back😊
I love ❤️ your channel. I hope to visit brazil with my wife this winter in July. Love your show from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
This is the best episode ever!!! love you guys. Hey Malaysia misses you!!!

Looking forward to your next trip to Brazil. Cheers!!!
You guys are adorable even in bad mood! ♡
😅 so intense this February! Keep going, Steve&Ivana!!
From that heat to the canadian heavy snow in the same month, now you're the thermometer warriors too.
Good to know you've made a safe return. See you.
Damn. you guys leave a legion of fans behind no cap. What a journey it has been but I knew at some point you guys would have to go! You got to know the brazilian people better than 95% of the foreigners who visit us that’s for sure. And sure captivated a lot of people with your fantastic energy! You guys know that our doors are always open and you are always going to be greeted with big smiles. Thanks for your incredible stay ❤ PS: if you leave wearing Palmeiras T-shirt it means you are a true Palmeirense 😂
Thanks, Pedro!
I felt a bit sad watching this video, actually. I was looking forward to more adventures in Brazil. Hopefully you'll be back soon. Regards from São Paulo.
we will be back❤
The blood pressure thing was just hilarious, such a "Brazilian way out" hahahahah we're waiting for your return. You have not only João Pessoa and Recife (and Belém and Manaus) up north but also gotta go back south and get to know Brasília, our capital, and also Curitiba and the highlands of Rio Grande do Sul with the German and Italian colonial towns.

This vlog was very entertaining
Gosh, i wish everything were perfect for you guys here in Brasil.
Unfortunatelly, sh*t happens, but you are always welcome!
Love you guys! Come back as soon as possible!
Sad news, I hope you'll be back very soon - love you ❤️❤️
2 min in to the video and i'm glad to know I'm not the only person who gets frustrated when things don't go as expected. And have to take a break to figure things out
Last year in Peru and now this ;-( Sorry for you - but hopefully you´ll return here eventualy! And the best of luck wherever you go now.
Pretty much depressed me watching your problems. But you’re young and resourceful and resilient so onward and upward. A lot more fun than running around in Mississauga. Thank you for sharing your true feelings Steve.
Problems arise to be solved. Let's go on! Good luck for you!!!
Fiquei muito triste com o que aconteceu... Mas o take longo e dramatico na cara do Steve me fez rir tanto. HIUAhuiAhuihiu
Very nice jersey btw. Subscribed
I'm so sorry you had to stop the trip for now! Bummer. Anyway, if you feel like, come back when you can! Don't worry, though, it's not like the beaches are going anywhere 😄
What a bad situation 😞 it serves to stay alert with the contracts from movida. Good luck! You are so nice guys!
That's crazy: over 1k kilometers Plus gas and tolls. Plus losing money to that Airbnb accomodation. Just pay the fee and move to the next location.
And I forgot about pousadas and food. Movida suxx!!! Localiza might be a bit better. Uncertainty should check that out instead movida.
1600 reais is about 300 dollars. However, they probably spent, at minimum, 170 dollars on their way back to Salvador. Not to mention all the stress they've been through, having to rush and losing their planned trip.
I'd really not save 100 - 150 dollars to go through all this. My personal opinion. Though I don't really know their budget, I guess they are not so short on money, since they are going for another trip after this.
Thought the same . Really worth paying the fine
Socialist parents are like that, friend.
Essas empresas sempre buscando explorar as pessoas... sinceramente
We intented to return the car in the same city (Salvador). Our plan was to go back south with some stops along the way. But when we wanted to extend the rental, we were in Natal. So they count that as renting/returning from another city just for doing the paperwork.
@JetLagWarriors They should have explained that to you. This was shady! I am very sorry that you guys had to experience that.
I hope we can see you back in Brazil more times and you have a really good time during your next trip! I really like your channel 😊🙌
You guys were in the opposite direction to return the car.
Great pleasure to travel around Brazil following you guys. I live here my entire life and I didnt know how huge and beautifull is our country. Because of you I will travel to Nordeste next vacation. Thank you so much.
Traveling abroad is always risky. Whereas, we have fun at the end. I know you guys did🥰
Muito bom!🇧🇷🇨🇦❤️
Sad both of you had to leave my nation. Hope you can return in the future. Be safe and take care.
Never forger that, despite the problems, all is well now and Brazil will always welcome you guys with open arms!
Hey guys I love your channel, even because I'm learning english and i learn a lot from you. I didn't get if you talked about leaving Brazil, but I want to you to know that you two are always welcome here. Come and visit Natal, it's a Beautiful city. Love guys, thanks a lot for your videos, and have a nice trip.❤💜💚💙💕
Im so sorry that you guys had to face such harsh issues =[[[[[[
I would just pay for it.
Of course, I don’t know how much money you have, but I’m a middle class aussie and would deffo just throw money in the problem.
Aren't we all travelers in the planet after all, my friends? Plans are necessary but what is certain is to expect for the unexpected. I'm super curious to see what life will give you in return for what she has just taken from you. She gives and she takes so the journey keeps a learning place. ❤ ❤ Send knews soon pleeeeease! Remember that now you have a lot of Brazil inside you and our main theme is: we never give up no matter the circumstances. Warming hugs!
Really good job, Movida.
Found this guy yesterday and now I’m hooked because he’s the only person I’ve seen that’s a real life Quentin Tarantino character.
Too bad, don't be upset. Unfortunately these inconveniences happen to everyone everywhere.
Sorry to see this happen to you guys - we had a similar thing happen to us in Chile/Argentina when we hired a car, suddenly there was a US $400 charge that we couldn’t avoid because we needed the car to drive across the Andes. I’m an Aussie and my husband is Brazilian - he feels this is a gringo scam along with the confusion/language barrier. But as you say these things happen for a reason and the universe will have grand plans. Good luck! Boa sorte 💜
I just came back from São Paulo. You guys should go back down there
I hoped we could help you stay in Brasil somehow 😢 Glad to having you in our country
I believe this too. Sometimes the plan has a deviation for our good. Maybe you could have an accident going to Recife but this saved you both.
I was waiting you in Fortaleza, Ceará. Maybe next year.
I could sue Movida for not properly explaining the lease agreement
I absolutely love Ivana's shots! She has an incredible artistic and cinematographic eye
OMGracious 😢I almost cried when the keys got locked in the car. I don't know but it would be interesting to see the process when you took the car back. I'm in North Carolina and have enjoyed watching your videos as well. Viva brazioooooo !!!😁
I saw you guys in Guarulhos Airport the other day. Sad :(
I hope u guys okay
In Brazil we have word for what happened to you. It´s called "Livramento", it translates to God's deliverance. People believe when something doesn't goes the way you planned, it's because something would happen and God protected you from that.
Hope you'll be back soon, Love the vids.
Verdade
8:28 It happened to me in the US once, with a rental car going from Oregon to Washington that the ball bearings were worn out that loud, very loud. The company with the yellow logo put me on a 15 minute waiting line in western Washington at a small airport to replace it at the counter of the same company. Luckily, I was able to replace the car without any other fee. Or being bitten by 6 spiders in southern California, before heading to NYC, some 10,000 kms away from home. Having almost a sepsis in NYC in the subway and then schlepping myself through JFK. It is soooo challenging to be abroad. I did not expect all of this. But expect the unexpected. I encountered a lot of situations like those in Canada for a year. Like sitting for hours in a MiWay Bus and subway car to get to a driving test centre to get told that I need a paper from the German embassy. It happens.
great job guys! anyway bumps and shits are part of life anyway! great to see you'r still funny and full of life😎🤗😋
I refuse to drive in any foreign country, too many things could go wrong. It is difficult to concentrate on the scenery when driving. Every country has different driving laws and rules.
Love you guys
I recommend to go to Santa Catarina and chill again... restart the vibes hahaha, love you!
Deus abençoe vocês. 🇧🇷🇺🇸
It happens, but come back often!! You are welcome in our country.
You need to go back to see João Pessoa and also Campina Grande, the best month is June. You will always be welcome!
Nothing like one day after another man, you guys will be good.
Que pena do acontecido 🇧🇷
you are already brazilians to all of us. Please come back. Have a good trip wherever you go
Oh guys, I feel so frustrated for you. I'm sorry this happened, and it ruined the rest of the trip. I wish they could have compromised for the lack of communication some how... :(
This is exactly why I don’t believe anything a sales agent says unless I can see it in writing. We had a problem here in Canada last year when we got those reusable plastic moving boxes from the storage company. My husband was told that we could rent the boxes or we could buy them and sell them back to the company after. My husband bought the boxes and, of course, when he tried to sell them back they said that they didn’t do that, the employee was mistaken etc. We still have a pile of containers that we are slowly selling to friends and family. Anyhow - don’t trust anything that isn’t in writing somewhere that you can check. And don’t use Dymon storage, they try to charge you even after you already emptied your unit and ended your contract 😅
ah that sucks! Thanks for sharing this
