Guys, the second place exists, they had a sign right in front of you telling to turn right at Galeria street and the hotel was there 👍🏻
LOL! What a fail on our part. The thing is, I don't really wanna drive in the dark, in a different country. (maybe a bit too nervous, but that's how I feel) Anyway, once the first place didn't work out, I was really recommending Ivana to find a place nearby. So, we walked to it rather than use google maps. Maybe if we searched it on google maps we would've found that there were 2 addresses lol. Fail!
You know, every place in Brazil is different. We really loved MG. But, we also love the Northeast. Each place can be enjoyed, in a different way :)
The thing is that you guys are travelling in the high season for brazilians because right now is our summer and the end of the school break. School break in Brazil is most of dezember and january. But from the start of dezember to the end of February is when most brazilians travel. Also in june and july but then is winter so now is more popular. If it wasn't for that you could find thing waaaay cheaper; Those prices are quite expensive for these cities.
VERDADE 👍🏻
Thank you!
Guys I got really worried about the disaster title. But I'm super glad you're okay and safe. Thanks for keep showing the Brazil for us
In Brazil disasters are often fatal.
@@dubsar well, after one week in Peru they got their stuff stolen, so.. we're not the worst people on earth i guess
@@luisphelipecarvalho5990 That title is reserved for Russians. Mark my words.
I felt the same. I thought they gonna experience similar thing like in Peru.
lol I was worried with the "disaster" thing on the title. But I'm glad it ended well. lol
Me too.
Ah, it was a bit overstated! Maybe too clickbaity. We changed it to frustration :)
We wanted to mention it in the title, because it was the longest part of the video... but we weren't sure how.
Anyway, yes we are all good! Not too worry
I was instantly like: oh... no
I'm tired = Estou cansado/cansada
I'm glad you guys found a place in the end!
Steve, you know why you’re having such a great time in Brazil? You have such an open friendly approach and demeanor that everyone responds with a big smile to you. Those kids at the pond is a clear example. Oh, Ivana is just as open friendly! Keep on going!
The kid was asking for money though. 🤣
Thanks for this kind comment, Eduardo. Ivana and I both smiled :)
12:10 lol "give me money to buy snacks" 💀🤣 this kid
Nordeste is doing fiiiine to you two!!! You both are looking amazing
Did you get the reimbursement in that first place? The customer is protected by law, don't let it pass. Shout out if you need any help.
That was one of my favorite videos so far. It has a great vibe and Steve managing to interact with those kids it was awesome.
Btw, that little brat was asking you 20 bucks to grab a snack lol. And the kid in black shorts was saying that he loved o meet you.
All the trees you see are part of the Atlantic Florest. Unfortunately it has been destroyed by farmers and big companies. The boy said nice to meet you. And the food you had with carne de sol, is called escondidinho. Which means little hidden 😂the is hidden inside of cassava pure. I hope I get to see you guys around João Pessoa-Paraiba state. Enjoy!!!
Such an adventure haha. I'm impressed how you could handle that even though with the language barrier. Amazing guys! 🤌👏
Don't stop on Natal, come to Fortaleza, Ceará, guys!
I think that the creamy carne de sol must be a Escondidinho de Carne de Sol 😂
Such cool couple, I really enjoy the vibe that you have. If you are planning coming to the North, in state of Amazonas, I would love take you to some incredible waterfalls in Amazon.
You should have gone north a bit more and stayed in Maragogi, the next city, juts a 15min drive, which has much more turism structure and hotels to choose from. Japaratinga is a lovely and relaxing place, but there are also some must see destinations in Maragogi.
Muito bom!!! Steve always seeing the bright side even when things don't go as expected
I'm glad you guys enjoyed Maceió so much, that's my hometown ❤ The beaches are truly amazing. Good thing you got the hotel situation sorted out, but did you manage to get a refund from the first hotel? I really think it's your right because you had paid, so check that out. By the way, there was a board in front of the old building at the third 'pousada' saying you should go to another location, but that's fine since the fourth one was so nice! Hope you guys continue having an awesome trip ☺️
Guys, you can spend the carnival in Recife, it is near to Maceio and there are tons of things to do here!
Good thing everything worked out in the end. The place you managed to stay doesn't look half bad!
Just fyi, the construction site/empty terrain you got directed to, had it written on the wall outside something like "turn on the next right". Probably they have another entrance nearby.
in the northeast the sun rises very early and sets very early, especially in Natal, the city of the sun.
I believe that, by the looks of It, that dish with carne do sol is "escondidinho de carne", which that creamy-like stuff is made with aimpim(cassava). When they throw in some cheese and cream cheese on it, it gets even better
Good to see that you sorted out a place to stay in the end. You're doing great in your road trip, despite the language barriers.
GREAT TO SEE YOUR VIDEOS GUYS, I REALLY ENJOYED THEM. CONGRATRULATIONS FOR THE FANTASTICS VIDEOS👏👏👏 I AM BRAZILIAN GUY. YOU GUYS ARE NOT FAKED.
07:25 its "escondidinho". A plate that uses potato or "macaxeira" and put "carne seca" or "carne de sol" :) i really love it!
Omg the second place sign was telling you turn right on the other street lol
At the "hole in the ground" place, the sign read: "turn right on the street of the shopping arcade and go ahead". I think that explains it...
Muito bom o garoto foi engraçado kk 🇧🇷
Loving the "I'm in the Jungle" drama 😜
kKkkkkkkkk the guy asked for money 🤣
"Canadian bananas are some of the worst bananas ever"
Dude, living in Canada you have no idea how much I miss the Brazilian bananas...
If you wait until the banana peel looks like a leopard it at least start to approximate a real sun ripe banana
I am glad you guys managed to sort things out! I love how you guys always keep calm and in good mood regardless of any unexpected situation you face during your trip! Keep it up! Such great memories you are sharing with us.
After a week catching up to your videos I just had to say I'm loving to watch your adventures in this very beautiful and diverse country that is Brazil! And since I saw no other comment teaching you how to say it, I will! The words for "I'm tired" in Portuguese is "Estou/Tô cansado" or, if you wanto to be more casual about it you can say "Estou/Tô só o pó" which translates to "I'm just the dust" in a sense you're the dust of what you were. I'll finish catching up now! Have a nice trip ;)
Guys I get so happy to see both of you witha great energy like in this video!😍😍😍❤
20:01 - they give their "new" directions to the place. I think this is where the place was, but they moved to another place. In the 20:01 we can see their new directions to get to the new place "turn to the right in the street of Galeria (Rua da Galeria) and go ahead" (vire à direita na rua Galeria e siga em frente).
They probably didnt update the adress
7:29 it's probably is carne de sol with nata, nata comes from cow's milk.
Continuem viajando e mostrando lugares maravilhosos ❤️🥰✌🏻
Beautiful! ❤❤❤❤
@@lucianojansenpereira1520 I agree, not a good season to visit now.
@@kronop8884 Dica: "it's not" seria mais próprio.
@@lucianojansenpereira1520 Good tip. Thanks so much!
Muinto bom ( your signature) you guys are great 👍
the northeast of brazil is beautiful!!! the food, the culture, the people... have a nice trip to you! I'm learning English with your videos too!!! thank you
the best stories come from the greatest fails. Once I went out with my girl and couldn't find lodgings on a touristy town in Romania, despite looking for a long time. A local old lady finally took us in for the night, offered us dinner and breakfast and refused to take any pay. We had a great evening, got to sample the local food, chat with the host and play with the dog. We had to argue with her to take some money at the end. If we had found a hotel that wasn't booked we would have missed on a story to remember
❤️❤️love this story
Hi! Ivana and Steve , I Think, you has, inhame , is a root, like potatoes , mandioca! Is very health! The soup of inhame is so delicious!
The funny slime thing is PIRÃO (probably fish) ... It is made with yucca flower.
You should go to Jericoacara, Canoa quebrada and Icaraí in Ceará state
You have to know MARAGOGI, it's the next city after Japaratinga, maragogi is known as Brazilian Caribbean
Go visit the estate of Amazonas, and you will see the jungle, and I think you should visit the Fernando de Noronha island, one of the most special places in this country.
My girlfriend lives in Fortaleza
I'm loving the road trip videos
The creamy meat that you ate, is called "escondidinho" . Is mashed cassava with beef jerky.
if you go to Porto de Galinhas, there is a restaurant "Barcaxeira" that makes a great "escondidinho"
I'm loving following your adventure through Brazil!
Hey guys this is the best editing you did so far...the road part from high above was really MUITO BOM! :-)
Muito Bom!! LoL!!!... Nothing better than Brazilian Weather, Brazilian Food, Brazilian Beaches, Brazilian Hospitality and, of course, Brazilians!! Meanwhile, -20F in Toronto right now!! Stay there!!
Vcs sao um casal mt fofo! (what a cute couple!)
I’m brazilian and I love you so much be ever welcome over there
Today I live on USA
I love your videos. this vibe.. very good.. lol
Love watching it you guys. keep it! very good videos.
Love your channel.
next time you go to pay ask if they do "fiado" it means that you will pay later, as you are foreigners they will find it funny hahaha
Please don't scare us this way anymore Lol
bahut achchi or interesting video lagi 🌷🌷🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🙏
Steve's enthusiasm hits me all the time watching it.
You mentioned going as north as São Luiz. Please do that and, on the way, don't forget to do the Rota das Emoções (Jericoacoara-Delta do Parnaíba- Lençois Maranhenses!)
hope you guys can make it to Natal, my 2nd favorite city in Brazil (just after Recife) ♥
I am here now been here since last year, and 4 days left .I struggle with the language nobody speaks English
Hello friends. I'm from Minas Gerais and I use your videos to learn English. You are amazing and Brazil loves you. Do you guys know what your next country is ?
Guy, don't forget to visit Maragogi, Porto de Galinhas, Calhetas... as you go up from Alagoas to Pernambuco.
And going up from Pernambuco to Rio Grande do Norte you can go to Itamaracá, Barra do Cunhaú, Pipa...
I was scared by the accident headline, thankfully you both are fine, just a minor frustration indeed. Keep sending us nice pictures.
I went to Maceio last October, I don’t know if you guys still in Alagoas, but I would go to Praia do carro quebrado. Best beach near Maceio, almost deserted and really beautiful. Little adventurous to reach it in a small car though.
Kkkk acontece de as vezes a coisa n dar certo. Aínda assim maravilhoso!
What a beautiful dishes huh guys 😳😃
Yeeeey, you found a way to enjoy carne de sol! That's called escondidinho, its even better with grilled cheese on the top.Hope to see you guys in Fortaleza ❤
the food is called "escondidinho de carne seca" probably!
in the jungle the spiders are bigger, you two came all the way up to northeast you should visit Amazon jungle. I've been there once and it's a good experience, it gives the right perspective of how big everything is up there, it's like a jurassic tree, jurassic fish, jurassic snake, jurassic river, etc. that spider doesnt look like a jurassic spider so it's not jungle yet, but it will be if you keep driving, I guess you can say if you get a spider in the car it means you are getting closer to the jungle. which is true.
When you arrive in Pipa or Natal you've got to order a dessert called "cartola". It takes fried banana to another level.
550 a diária. Tá muito caro kkkk
TY Denise :)
A lot o poverty but the beauty surpasses the poverty, I think. Love it!
OH MY GOOOSH...vcs precisam aprender a pechinchar!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
You are getting close to my favorite beches in Brazil in northern Alagoas... The Maragogi region is amazing (you are probably already there by now haha)
That breakfast at the end is AMAZING
