I felt you were potentially heading for a small burnout, because skiing, travelling and filming and editing was taking up all your time. The fun could quickly become a chore if you didn’t take time off. The severe weather, van troubles and being out on the road by yourself is tough man. Please schedule time off next season. I know you need to create content and you need to do that when the snow is there, but you need to think about yourself too. Naturally I love the videos, the whole package is excellent . You are inspiring. Take care Lucas.

"should have been able to handle it" "Should have made the most of it" - it's okay to feel like you need a break. You're only human. Take a break from time to time! It's totally fine. You'll go further and be healthier. Keep up the great work but remember that great work takes time and effort to create and without the battery to keep going you won't be able to make great work. Charge it from time to time.

Sorry to hear the PNW part of the journey was the suckiest. The cold, wet, and gray/rainy weather can feel like a gauntlet up here at times for sure. You got the true PNW experience, seasonal depression included. Lol. It can also really pay off up here, so hope the next time you visit is a bit better. NGL though, after seeing the conditions in Cali and Utah last year, that looks hard to beat. Now that you're into mountain biking, Squamish/the North Shore Vancouver, and Whistler are apparently on another level. It is pretty beautiful up here in the summer or shoulder season when the weather works out.

Stoked for another season, although our season doesn’t realistically start until at least late November here in Pennsylvania. Hoping to get out west at least a couple times this year.

Lucas, thank you for bringing us on an amazing journey last year. One thing I think would be good to share, how many days did you get on the snow? It was great that you made it to the PNW and some of the Mtn's around Seattle. Someone, it was evident you needed a break from the intensity of everything happening up to that point. The year did finish strong, with an amazing late summer skiing. Have you considered having a 1 week getaway from the snow to somewhere warm & tropical (mid-january) to help maintain the sanity? Your summer happenings, car racing, & paintball is a nice way to balance the warmer months. I will admit I missed having your hiking/trekking videos. Perhaps if you make it up to the PNW and hit Alpental, hopefully the weather is way better, we could take you into our backcountry areas, where I think you;'d be impressed what is available from a small hill. I foresee your channel growing bigger and larger this year. I'm holding out for you hitting 75K. I fully believe it's within reach. I hope you'll get some additional great invites like you did last year, as you definitely deserve it. All the best, M-
Thanks Morgan! I need to do a better job of keeping track, but I think I was around 88 days on snow. Didn’t quite make it to 100. That’s the goal for next season though. I think a mid season break could be nice or at least slow down the pace of travel. That’s what is really taxing. Appreciate all the support Morgan and hopefully I’ll see ya out at snowqualmie again!

Wow, I can't believe you never returned to Alta later in the year, despite the insane snow they were getting! though, I do understand that travel can be really difficult 😂
That was a wonderful recap , I can totally understand the burnout especially with the struggle with Luna and it is what it is , I was a little bummed that you totally blew off a 5 ft powder storm , but I get it , sometimes the reserve tank is on E and it doesn’t feel fun and you know what , that is okay, it was an epic season!

I know that I started following you by Keystone because I skied that opening day.. I am pretty sure that I was following you by A-Basin but I could just be telling myself that.. I skied BRECK on the unofficial opening day (11-11... love those numbers;) I remember watching your Vail day and seeing how good it was... I am pretty sure Vail was amazing all season.. They had 20 inches more of a base the day they opened than BRECK and it lasted all season..

Agreed. Make sure having fun is the number one priority, that way it won't become a "job". If you do that, I think the rest will take care of itself.

That was a wonderful recap , I can totally understand the burnout especially with the struggle with Luna and it is what it is , I was a little bummed that you totally blew off a 5 ft powder storm , but I get it , sometimes the reserve tank is on E and it doesn’t feel fun and you know what , that is okay, it was an epic season!

I know that I started following you by Keystone because I skied that opening day.. I am pretty sure that I was following you by A-Basin but I could just be telling myself that.. I skied BRECK on the unofficial opening day (11-11... love those numbers;) I remember watching your Vail day and seeing how good it was... I am pretty sure Vail was amazing all season.. They had 20 inches more of a base the day they opened than BRECK and it lasted all season..

there were a lot of cold days... i remember multiple days that i had this conflict between my fingers and toes being numb but the skiing was so good..
