What boggles the mind is, any injury can destroy your season, you'd think at least to avoid that, they'd be wearing some protection, but some people are just....
@@exorder2005to be fair, even with a helmet most crashes that would end your season still would end your season. But there's a good amount of possible crashes that basically end your conscious life where a helmet would help tremendously

@@BrawlLegendLinkhelmets still help even with more minor crashes, my friend fell last season and completely wrote off his helmet, but was fine to ski a day or two later. Obviously we can't tell for sure but I doubt he could have skied down the rest of the run if he wasn't wearing it.
looks good, but helmets should actually be a standard by now, esp. in urban, that is just one thing the bike community got right from the get go

@@plank3000well i work at my local mountain rescue service and we really hate to explain to people that their loved ones won't come home in one piece eventhough we had them in a heli in 10 min from the accident, because they would not wear a helmet...

Man your breakdowns and enthusiasm is incomparable I board and this the only ski footage I usually watch from my feed and love it everytime. Would love to see you breakdown tricks, do full video covers and also diff sport like board sport coverage (something to maybe challenge your knowledge too) regardless keep killing have feel better soon

Matěj just seems like on a whole different level man. The amount of new tricks and NBDS he's been pullin of the last 3 years is just mind boggeling. He might become the best skier of all time like he's just 19 and he allready has the best control over his skis and body I've ever seen.
He does cool stuff. Best of "all time"?! :-) Have another drink dude. There are women who could beat him down any race course, folks who would whip him in the moguls or steep backcountry (SKI being the word here, not just straight line to a jump. One trick pony style. Even a rock can go straight down a hill.
And I'll bet he couldn't even make it down a race course like the Strief without lots of sideslipping. I'll bet Scott Schmidt at 50 could take him into backcountry chutes where he would be terrified. Maybe he is the best "aerialist" of all time, thats cool.

I'm just returning to this channel after a while. I was watching when you were playing steep and completely unable to ski at the time. Coming back and A seeing that the channel is thriving and growing and B hearing your skiing again is amazing.

Amazing video! I really love skiing and I am mesmerised by the skill of these individuals. However, because I don't know that much about freestyling and what not all the stunts start to blend a bit, it surely looks impressive but its hard to really comprehend (like you are watching a videogame speedrun without knowing the game) but with you commentating on it, that elevates it so much! Keep it up! Loved it!

Reading the title I thought it was meant with a negative way like it doesn't make sense for you or others to ski anymore and I was concerned. Glad it went the positive way and just was referring to the creativity and highlighting the pure skill that these skiers have. I don't get to hit the slopes oftens and have been snowboarding, but your videos make me want to try skiing again.

Never watched a ski vid in my life and only went skiing once when I was like 7 but holy shit is this epic! That landing on the 'nose' blows my mind even as someone who doesn't fully appreciate a quarter of what these folks are doing

This is what ski movies these days are missing, insane park edits. All movies now that you see at shows are just big mountain cinematic, really missing parts like in this video of insane tricks pushing the boundaries
