I am getting married and have so mAny signs I want to make and thought I would buy this to keep costs down but omg this seems complicated. How long does it take a person to learn all the settings and not mess this up??
Thanks so much for this video as I was completely lost!!! One question... I am using 4.1 and there isn't an option (or at least I don't know where it is) where I can inform the machine that I am using a cutting mat, and I have unfortunately already cut through my mat. Do you know where I can find that option in the 4.1 software? Thanks!
Hi I have a question how do I get the cutting mat image that you have p because I'm stuck and can't cut my vinyl behind a constant failed registration mark.
I love watching your videos there always full of a lot of detail. i just got my first vinyl and have been having a lot of fun with it. i have though been having trouble when i peal back the access vinal it doesn't stick very well it comes up and when I'm applying it to my object
Hello, If you are having trouble weeding the vinyl, I would work on your cut setting and possible try to increase you thickness a little. This will help get a good cut and allow for easy weeding. You can also hold down the design with your weeding tool to ensure that it stays on the carrier sheet until your ready to transfer it onto the product. What surface are you applying the vinyl to? With decal vinyl, you are going to want to apply it to a smooth, hard surface. This will allow the vinyl to adhere well and last on your surface. TRW Kaitlin
Can the silhouette software work on a Mac. BTW great tutorial. Looking forward to seeing all your videos on the silhouette. Hope I can use it with IOS.
Thanks for another great video. Do you have a pdf. that shows your different vinyl's and for what each is used for? I get confused as to which ones you need to reverse your design..the ones that need heat...etc. Again thank you....your a cutie !!!
Hello, Any heat transfer vinyl such as EasyWeed, Chemica, or other Siser HTV product, you are going to use for apparel and need to press onto the shirt or platform. If you are heat pressing the vinyl, these are the types of vinyls you will need to mirror. Decal vinyl is going to be the FDC sign vinyl and this is used for products like car window, cups and other smooth, hard surfaces. For decal material, you are not going to need to mirror your design. I hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions! TRW Kaitlin
Great videos! Just purchased cameo 3 a couple of weeks ago. Any advice on how to make key chains, what font to use and how to get them to be 1-2 inches to fit on the blanks. Thanks!
Sunni, Using the software, you should be able to make it fairly small! Be careful with the font and make sure it's not a script font as those are a little more difficult to weed when they are smaller! TRW Alexis
Great tutorials! Received my cameo 3 for Christmas and your tips have been helpful! In this video you said your RTape was AT65. I clicked on your link for ordering and it pulls AT60. Is there a big difference?
Christy, There shouldn't be a big difference with that. We typically only carry low-medium tack transfer tape, so that should be comparable. TRW Alexis
Hello!! I'm hoping I can get some help!! I recently bought a silhouette cameo 3 from amazon to start introducing vinyl to my hand lettering. I used it to create a few custom ornaments around Christmas and had such a hard time!! The machine kept cutting through my mat!! I've done so much research and watched a bunch of videos to try and remedy, but nothing has seemed to help. Basically, my last effort was putting my "force" at 1 and it was STILL cutting through my vinyl and the mat. I have my settings on auto blade as recommended, and I also set my paper to the correct vinyl - Matte. Because it was cutting through my vinyl AND through to the mat I had to pull all the vinyl off of my mat, so that only the lettering was exposed and then I would put the transfer tape over it to remove the lettering from the mat. The vinyl i'm using is from the brand Cricut. I originally researched if it was okay to use Cricut vinyl with the silhouette and saw that it was fine. Is this the problem? Is that mat that came with the product faulty? I've asked for help on amazon, but another customer only suggested "make sure the actual setting on the blade is low"... BUT I have my setting on auto blade. Is there another setting somewhere I should be changing? Would love if anyone could help me out here!
Hello there SarahAnn, We're so sorry to hear of your issue. They only thing we could suggest are some cut settings with the brand of Vinyl we use which is Siser EasyWeed. The blade depth would need to be 3, speed 10, and force 5. I would make sure and do a test cut before cutting your project and MAKE SURE your auto blade is going to the correct blade depth. I have had issues myself where it does not go to the depth I have chosen if I do not save my desired cut settings in the send panel for the material I am using. Hope this helps. - TRW Bobbi
Anne, I'm not sure where exactly we purchased this from. However, you should be able to search "vine monogram font" and find some good results! TRW Alexis
This is not for a beginner. I can't see what icons you are using. If the camera could zoom in on what icons you are using it would be great. Do you have anything for first-time users?
Hello! Have you tried making the video full screen? We do not have the option to zoom in on buttons during the webinar, but I will bring that up to management. - TRW Richard
Why does your screen have all these icons and mine has very few? I am trying to follow along but no way when I can't find icons to click on. I have designer upgrade too. Going on two weeks and still no first cut. Ugh. Also printed out manual and it has icons that I don't have. Just don't get it.
Brenda, does your screen have mostly white on it? There is a chance you are working in version 3.0. If you need more help, feel free to call us. We can help you out and check out the software with a remote session to your computer. 941-755-1696 :) - TRW Lisa
TheRhinestoneWorld it's 4v. I finally realized that a lot of the videos are older versions than mine. My icons are on right side. I'm going through the manual right now and once I figure out where I need to go when following your video, I hope I will finally cut a pattern. Thank you for responding. I may get back to you. I really appreciate you.
Had the same issue. I just figured it out. The software must have been upgraded recently. I'm still having trouble with the first cut though! It isn't deep enough!
She used our Bling Anything material! You just heat press rhinestones to it and use it as a sticker. You can find it here on our website: www.therhinestoneworld.com/Bling-Anything-Decal-Material_p_2007.html
ok so I got the silhouette business edition but it has a totally different layout than what you are showing in your tutorials. I can't find half the tools you are using. Can you help?
I really wanted to like this video, watched it before I got my Curio and bookmarked it. Now that I have it, the instruction is to fast and not complete. Please remember this is for people trying to do their FIRST decal. Things look different on your screen then mine, but there is no explanation as to why that would be (I have a Curio 3). I don't have the "cut tool" on the right side. and it would be really great if you used a font that we have in our initial library. I'll come check out your videos later, but this is not a good one for first-timers.
Hello, She is using a cameo 3 cutter not a curio. This might be the reason why the video doesn't match up right with your program. We try to make our videos straight to the point so you can pause and do the steps and continue. TRW, Grant
How can I get my bar and icon to the side like yours?? I have to go up top to make it work. It's so hard to follow any video. Thank you!! I love your videos but it's so hard to follow! :'(
great video. I just bought my cameo. I'm having an issue with the program because everybody is using a different silhouette program. I am using the 4.0. do u have any videos with the new version?
Leticia, We do have an intro do Version 4.0 at the link below. ruclips.net/video/wlrjftDCyoY/видео.html&lc=z13hcr3ojwbtylmf422yilwzro3kjvrds The following was an overview of the 4.0 before it officially came out, that might help you as well. ruclips.net/video/Ig4lA6Pgjuk/видео.html&lc=z132fzphuqfri5zzo04chbjpqyuszhng5rw0k All of our upcoming videos will be using version 4.0 so keep your eyes peeled! Washing the tshirt is fine on regular wash setting. You can hang dry or use dryer. I have done both
With HTV, yes. This video demonstrates Permanent Adhesive Vinyl which is for car windows, etc and not for garments.

Brenda,
Definitely let us know if we can help you with anything else!

Had the same issue. I just figured it out. The software must have been upgraded recently.
I'm still having trouble with the first cut though! It isn't deep enough!
Im having the same problem any more solutions?
Love the video but Im really interested in how she got her bling on her machine. Can you tell me how or where to get that please?
She used our Bling Anything material! You just heat press rhinestones to it and use it as a sticker. You can find it here on our website: www.therhinestoneworld.com/Bling-Anything-Decal-Material_p_2007.html
Hey thanks for the informative video 😁 what brand of heat press do you use?
Milahni Roe, Glad you enjoyed the video! We sell the Hotronix Heat Presses on our website and are our favorite. Matt
ok so I got the silhouette business edition but it has a totally different layout than what you are showing in your tutorials.
Hello,
She is using a cameo 3 cutter not a curio.
Can you heat press this? Trying to put my designs on a shirt
HI! great video but i did everything in your video but my printer says registration failed? could you please help me

thank you!
Buying one today. Is it true that this model can cut out 11 x 17 image?
Yes, you should be able to cut out a design of that size if you do not use the cutting mat - TRW Shannon
Do you have anything that is strong enough to be applied to a vehicle as far as vinyl? Any suggestions on waterproof vinyl?
The decal vinyl in this video is actually rated for outdoor use! Check that out at the link below!

You mentioned you adjust the blade to the thickness of the film but how do you do that? How do you knowthe thickness of the film?
We did an excellent Live training here on our RUclips channel on Thurs, Nov 18. We cover how to tell if your cut force is high enough or when to adjust it. ruclips.net/video/3wRE-u8NINU/видео.html Hope this helps! -TRW Pilar
I followed every step in the video but my cameo doesn’t start cutting after I send it, I get a registration mark error, any suggestions?
