      @@ColorChangeCustoms Quick question! Do the transfer tapes you recommend (medium tack) work with the silver gloss vinyl? I've been searching on Amazon for the past 30 minutes and I can't decide which one to get

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@ikendoitdotstudio I typically use the Frisco Craft transfer tape for most things. It's been pretty consistent. The medium tack one I will use if I'm applying decals to a surface with a weaker surface energy (like a painted wall) so that the transfer tape doesn't pull the vinyl with it (or as much) when you are peeling it off after applying the decal.

    The other thing I like about your channel is that you are using silhouette. There is an overabundance of cricut stuff on RUclips. I hate having to go through all that design space time that they put into those videos because it does not apply to me and my silhouette. I like seeing silhouette users on here doing their thing.

    I literally just started today and can't figure out your step one! You already start with an image on your screen. Where did you get it? How did it get on your screen? Did you have to buy it? Where do you save it to?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the feedback...fair point in that I just started with an image already. Basically, I get my images from the internet, though you certainly can buy images as well from a variety of sites. Just make sure you're not using protected images (copyrighted, trade marked, service mark, etc), especially if it's to make things to sell. Typically, when I find an image I like on the internet, I right click the image and "save image as", if that option is available. Sometimes, websites post images in a format you can't easily save.

    I know you can use these cutters for making automotive gaskets... any chance you could do a how to?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  8 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure, as I've never done that. My best guess is, depending on the material for the gasket, you might be able to use Silhouette's Deep Cut blade (amzn.to/41DSrUi). I don't think it would work with cutting metal, so the gasket medium would need to be the paper type I think. Again, I've never done automotive or deep cut work with the Cameo, so I'm not entirely sure.

    Love your videos. Have you used this chrome from vvivid long? Last over a year on a window decal?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 года назад

      Thank you! I've not used the chrome from vvivid that long actually, and I've used it just on stuff that has remained inside (laptop and toolbox) so I'm not sure how it would fare as a window decal. Vvivid's manufacture claims would indicate it would fare just as well as any other though.
