Came across the programme accidentally and now I'm hooked. Just 2 old pals enjoying fishing and each others company, we should all be as lucky to have a friendship like theirs. 👍

Bob and Paul. 2 beat mates growing old, reflecting on life and still being able to have a laugh like they were 12 years old. But still feel safe enough to open there heart up. These are the friendships we all need in our lives.

This show is food for the soul....and honest...trust me I've count of the amount of mates I've taken fishing for the first and last time....I always found myself shouting the same things Paul shouts at Bob...stop reeling in so hard...be quite...what do you mean you've knocked the thermos flask and sandwiches into canal....all good stuff at the end of the day.
Boots McFoolish deserves his own series.
This is great viewing, no script to follow, no bad acting. Just two old mates having a chat whilst fishing & then down the pub after.
Love watching Bob and Paul going fishing. Just 2 blokes having a chat about life and having a laugh. You can feel the friendship between the two of em. Makes me feel all slushy. Gotta say Paul's impression of an Irish horse racing trainer is 1 of the funniest things I've ever seen. Big love for Harry Enfield too. Brilliant stuff
This is an amazing series. I'm not into fishing but the banter between these to friends is so enjoyable. A bit of banter, gentle ribbing and a very gentle atmosphere. One thing you can look forward to is Bob falling over in almost every episode 🤣🤣🤣
Just read Bob's autobiography. I highly recommend it.

In 1974 I had 72 days "Unauthorised Absence" from school to fish the River Wensum. It was time well spent. My father still moans about it now 😂

Absolutely love the series, i think Bob is a proficient angler but plays it likes he's never really fished. He must be good otherwise Paul wouldn't of given him is Fathers fishing rod. Two greats of comedy.
