Best video on GMB set up. I am having a problem with my listing saying it's only 80 percent done and to add a logo. I have reloaded the page , added, and removed the logo and everything else I could think of yet it still says to add a logo. When in the photos section my logo is showing. I'm at a loss and really hope to get an answer to this frustrating issue. Thanks for your time and keep up the amazing videos.
Hi Steve, thanks a lot. Stop banging your head against the wall 🤪😄. It's a bug. All profiles that are completed (including mine) display the 85% complete message with the logo issue. If you've already added your logo, you're all good.

Thanks for keeping it short and sweet. Would you recommend registering a business name with the state and opening a business checking account, prior to creating a GMB listing? If a legal brand contains the city name, would this prevent Google from suspending the account? I've always been a fan of providing Google with as much info as possible.
Many thanks Geoffrey. Google's guidelines are very clear. Your name should reflect your business’ real-world name, as used consistently on your storefront, website, stationery, and as known to customers. So if you register a business and the name includes your city name there is no risk of being suspended by Google as it will be a legitimate name. Hope this makes sense

1) I have a young Remodeling agency, but I don't have an office yet. I serve a location within a 20 km radius of where I live, which includes 10 small towns. In Google My Business, I listed my home address as my location. But I am extremely reluctant to list my residential address for this purpose. I would like to ask how much I would lose for local search if I don't put my address in Google My Business at all, just put "service area" for my business (10 cities).
2) I also have a website that lists my NAP. If I now remove my home address as my location, how do I then promote my website (SEO) by doing citations of my business in various directories without an address?
Hi There. Removing your address will not affect your rankings. Your business will simply be considered as a Service Area type of business. Google knows where you are already as you've alredy provided an address when claiming your listing.
Regarding your NAP, I wouldn't spend a huge amount of time claiming citations as they now play a minimal role in boosting your visibility. Instead I'd recommend you invest effort on link building which will yield much better returns.

The main experience! Initially, companies are shown on Google maps that have been there for 10-30 years and often have profiles with very zero information!

Hi Luc great content again. I tried to remove my address from GMB so that I would just be listed as servicing an area but it now says I'm in Germany. Can you change once you've already chosen bricks and motor ? Hope this makes sense
Yes you can. You should just technically delete the address. Not sure why it says you're in Germany now

How to prevent someone claiming my business , once a while I get email from GMB that someone requested Management of my business on GMB
You can't stop someone from requesting access, but that doesn't mean it will be granted unless you allow it

I created a new GMB page for a client that built a new website under a new domain. unbeknownst to me they had a GMB [unclaimed] that existed and is showing up attached to their new domain and website. My question is how do I remove the original GMB and replace it with the new GMB?

Your listing will not be verified until you receive the postcard. This rule applies to everyone, whether you live in the US or Not

Thank you for the video is well understanding but I have an issue where I’m to fill location if yes a walk in store and all I don’t have a store yet I work from home and make delivery through logistics company so I selected No and it ask me to select regions/area I serve customer I don’t know what to fill there cause I do nationwide delivery to everywhere

Hi T. I don't have a video on this unfortunately but If I can recommend one thing is to not spend hours a day on posts. Spend that time on creating awesome content for your website instead, build links and get reviews. It will pay off a lot more

You can set it up for your client but you'll need to agree on which email address you'll want to use, your client might already have a Gmail account or you'll need to create a new one.
Also, the verification code will be sent to the registered business address so you won't receive it at your house. You will need to rely on your client to provide you with the code so you can verify the listing

Once the Google Business Profile is optimized, is it necessary to constantly be updating and adding content(photos, articles, videos?)
I would recommend you actively publish new content such as posts, images, collecting reviews and so on. Not just for google but also for visitors

Wonderful video thank you - I assume this is a fake account you are creating? Where do you get the address to do this? I'd like to provide my clients with easy-to-follow instructions like this tailored to them, and being able to create educational accounts would serve as great instructionals.
You are correct. I just create dummy accounts for the sake of the tutorial which i delete after. Pretty easy to do

Hi John. Difficult for me to give you an answer since I don't know the name of the company before and after. Since keywords matter a great deal in the business name, it could explain why you saw a drop

I know they don’t have the option but is there a way to add maybe a link or something so they can do it online? Would google pay for business be a good option?
