Still play them. They’d been reshafted with some nice Modus 125s. Haven’t found anything to compete in terms of look or feel. And they’re not hard to hit and for that style of club, I am unconvinced that technology has moved on significantly. That said, while I game a 3 iron in that set, have gone to Callaway UT for the 2 iron. Need some help there.
@trottiegolf might be fun to see a comparison of an old set of TM 300 forged against some of the newer offerings. Evaluate feel and performance (normalised for loft variations). Those TM 300 irons are worldy but would be fun to see how they compare to the modern options.
When doing these kinds of tests, I'd like to see actual loft to loft match comparisons. Of course a 1 iron with low loft is going to flight lower than something else that has more actual loft
Love your videos would love you to hit the Burner woods they were fantastic. Wish you produced more Mini drivers never managed to get one here in the UK. Looking forward to testing stealth 2.
I have and old mizuno mp33 2 iron. Since I hit that for so long when I finally got a new driving iron made it feel like hitting a 7iron. I still from time to time will take to range with me to punish my hands for badly struck shots.
Loving seeing you give the T-D a crack, used to play those and loved the 3 iron as an all out basher off the tee when the driver got squirrely, found the s300 or x100 to be the nuts with it and on my crusher days could move it almost 250 with very little concern of finding the junk. Impressed with the Stealth 4 iron on a pure ease of use basis. Always excellent thoughtful content on here, much appreciation to you for sharing your dug out of the dirt nuggets with the golf junkies of the world. Not sure what 2 iron Tiger played when he tore Pebble apart en route to perhaps the greatest golfing performance in the US Open ever, but I suspect it could have been the T-D. Cheers!
That TM 1-iron would probably work better with the ball of it's day. Severely lacking in spin. If you grab a legit blade 1-iron rather than a hollow head like the TD you might be able to squeeze some extra spin out of it. Need a higher CG location!
@trottiegolf Great Video! Random question, Is TM coming out with a new version on the Spider X? I would like to get a spider X with a flow neck but I would want the new version if there is going to be one.
Struggling to get my distances in my p7mc irons. Long irons decent and what I normally see. Mid to short deffo club shorter than my old mizzy. Checked lies and lofts but can't work it out. Any suggestions
Hi Chris, I play 4-pw in the p770s and often struggle with the 4 iron. Can't help but envy your gamer 3 iron. I'm curious what playing length is your p770s from standard ?. Im 5ft6 and got fitted at standard length. Wonder if that's why I struggle with strike on the 4 iron. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I'm a -1/4 I think but purely because I want to play flatter lie angles. I play my 4 iron at 59* (I think) but I'd love to be at 58* Get a fitting, review your miss & know your tendencies.
I am 63 years old and I have 1iron all the threw lob Orion set they are about 30 years old but still play get with them
Dig out an old R360 which was the Daddy back in the day, and match it up with the Stealth driver
Appreciate the talk-throughs Trottie.
Loved seeing the old Skool one iron
Looking at P790’s for next year but after watching this I’ll look at Stealth long irons and try and blend a set
Speaking of old clubs, I still rock the TM 300 forged from time to time. I LOVE THEM!!! (I also still use my R7 Super Quad - Just sayin)
Some of those sere Miura forged I think

was it the eye 2?
Love to go new in the woods, and old in everything else.
TrottieGolf is dope…✊🏻 Love my sim UDI 3. Struggle with other long irons for some reason. love the content as always.
I would LOVE to see that stealth 4 iron 2° strong with a good hybrid shaft like the AD in the udi
Can we see the old Eye 2 wedge vs. the New High Toe Wedges?
Now that would be sick...... I still have a Ping Eye 2 Sand Iron
@@trottiegolf would love to see it!
How about a "modern" from the past test comparison. Something like an R7 SuperQuad driver vs the latest and greatest
Haha, maybe Chris will set-up a hickory shaft in that 1 iron and still rip it 250

Has trottie done a mini driver video yet?
Do you know what I don't think I have.... added to the 2023 list

Solid chance 😎
Signed up for the Taylormade Coach app recently… Trottie isn’t my coach (sad face)…
can we have review on the p770 2 iron? wanting to purchase to go with my mcs and with my 5 wood reckon be worth it?
They have new irons out in like a month
Well done Chris yes I used to use apologies shafts the good old days 👏
