  • The Puzzling Life is my series of shorter videos where I answer viewer questions, share my puzzle hauls, and provide mini-reviews of jigsaw puzzles I've been working on. It's a more casual format for all the little things I want to share with y'all that don't fit into one of my main videos. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness… I’ve never tried a wooden puzzle but that octagonal fractal puzzle looks AMAZING!!! I would definitely try to tackle it!

Yay! So glad the puzzle made it to you! I got that one at a local used media store that is known for books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Surprisingly, they have a HUGE puzzle section, and they give store credit for trade-ins. Maybe other folks can look for something like that? I know Half Price Books sells puzzles, too, but there's not one near me.

This is a great suggestion! I’ve never thought about that…

Not much puzzling this week. I did do one puzzle by Reverie for the ozpuzzlealong. I have one of the Geode puzzles - soooo good. Worth the investment / using up a special occasion spot IMO. My mom was a major rockhound, so she always has cool rocks hanging around the house as decor.

I have any (and all) blue versions of Nervous puzzles on my wish-list, but at $65 and shipping to Denmark it'll have to wait till I win the lottery😂

That puzzle trade/swap sounds interesting. I don’t think libraries here in Finland do that but I’m gonna suggest! 😁🧩

Would you be able to do a video giving suggestions and tips on how to do a whimsy cut puzzle? I have one Springbok I stopped halfway through and put back in the box. I also have a few puzzles by a brand called heritage puzzles. I’d like to put them together to use as wall art, but the combination of whimsy cut pieces and lack of color variety is overwhelming. Any and all advice would be welcome and appreciated. I’m a fairly new puzzler and have experience so far with only ribbon cut pieces.

I'm still mystified at how many people seem to love Ravensburger puzzles. I've only done one and won't be looking to do more. The puzzle pieces didn't fit well and there was more puzzle dust than in any other new puzzle I've tackled lately. Meanwhile, I've been thoroughly enjoying 300 piece puzzles of late. It's very satisfying to be able to complete a puzzle in one sitting. 😊 (Pomegranate, ReMarks, Buffalo Games)

Oh my you picked up my comment on the Breughel etc. Thank you. It isn't always easy to obtain brands that you would like to do, either because they are not available in your country of origin or the postage is very expensive. In the past I have seen jigsaws that I would like to do but the postage is as much as the jigsaw if not more! As I don't go out much I just make do with what I can get in the UK via the internet. I have a big pile of jigsaws awaiting my attention. 🧩 I enjoyed myself recently with a Clementoni gradient called Stairs, 500 pieces. Look forward to your next video. 😃

Since you’ve done a lot of Pomegranate, I need to know whether or not they came in a resealable bag?? And on the box, does it have where the puzzle was made? Enquiring minds (mine in particular) want to know! 💜🧩

Hi Dan! I was in London last week from NY and put together a nice puzzle haul primarily Gibson. Interestingly, I purchased a Harry Potter Scratch Off puzzle. I’ve never heard of scratch off puzzles before. Have you? @puzzlingfromtheheart
