I’m also Gen Z but it’s incredible how short a lot of peoples attention spans are nowadays…. Mostly from people my age and younger though there are older people as wel.
At least she ADMITS that TikTok has ruined her attention span, lol.
I saw these guys play at The Living Room in Providence RI less than 2 months after this album was released. The only time in my life I saw the entire club in one giant mosh pit wall to wall. It was absolutely insane. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. This album changed my life.

It's hard to believe that, at this age, you have never heard this composition. This is a classic of the genre! I, at one time, when I was still 5 years old, heard it. My father often listened to it on cassette in the car. (this was 1989)

Gen X here. I was a new wave of British metal kid, and I was legit SCARED of Slayer. Love them now though 😊!

Slayer is the precursor to death metal in a way. Nicke from Enrombed also call them death metals finest.
A bit long. Might have mentioned in the intro that they went in with music for 50 something minutes and came out with almost 29 minutes, all songs played.
This came out when people genuinely thought that heavy metal would turn children into church burning satanists. There were congressional hearings here in the USA and church groups would actively target metalheads for their music. Fun times all around.

Just discovered your channel today and by watching the Gen Z girl i can just say one thing to her... before listening to anything you consider Brutal in 2024, you should explore some history of the genre you like to hear... Otherwise you will not comprehend the tremendous Big Wall that Metal is that just keeps and keeps evolutioning...but in some ways also getting worse.. Many bands nowdays only care to growl as deep as possible to downtune their guitar to the lowest possible and to play the drums the fastest they can without taking in consideration what makes metal truly brutal than just playing insane instrumentals.. 100 years can pass and 85-00´ Extreme metal will always keep Reigning on everything moder metal bands have tried to achieve in extremity, because they lost that sense of anger, criticism and Essence of Metal.. The just like metal so they perform it, thats it.

As a '92 born Guy I love the Original 🖤 But there's a Version on RUclips made by Bodycount (Metalband lead by Ice-T and his Heavy-Guitar-Friend Earnie C), that is more clear than the Original and for my Opinion even more likely for the Gen Z. You should give your Reaction on that as well 🤘🤘🤘
