My biggest beef with the top 25 (especially ESPN’s) is that they throw in all the teams with the big brands like Florida, but are hesitant to throw in teams that don’t have that history but are actually worthy of being in the top 25, like South Carolina.
Agreed, I feel like we should deserve a spot because we brought in a great recruiting class, AND we were expected to be in the CFP top 25 after this last season.
As a Clemson fan the university of South Carolina should be in the top 25. Ranked above Florida and probably should be somewhere between 15-20 in the rankings. They are good. They beat us. If you watch the games last year USC was the better team. Horrible calls the first game and Caleb Williams got injured the second game. USC roster has improved significantly this offseason. They will be a way better team

I’m a Georgia fan speaking, but the reason why I’m high on Florida State is because they won 10 games last year. 2 of the 3 losses were by 2 and 6 points respectively. The have a heismen caliber QB. A really good group of receivers and RB’s. A solid o-line. And a top 25 defense. And to cap it all off I believe the only team, outside of LSU, they won’t be favored for on their schedule is Clemson

Florida is top 25 so that ESPN can advertise their week 1 matchup at Utah as a ranked matchup. No other possible reason to have the gay-turds anywhere near these rankings
we will see on OU.. Probably the reason they are ranked so high is most of the games they lost last year were within about 3 points. They had an experienced coach and they win a lot more of those. Thats just the way that works. Depends on how Verneables adjusts to that. I think he will OU has talent and the defense is coming on ......expect this year and next several years an offensive drop off. When you hear about OU getting a great grab in recruiting....almost always its on the d side of the ball. They are already adapting to the SEC move. They will do fine. (me personally I think they end the season tighter than 13 or 14. I think in the top 10

As for the QB'S, Kyle McCord was higher rated coming out of high school and you may not know this but he didn't play because he was backing up a guy that just got drafted 2nd overall so he was an OK QB. Lastly, Michigan's QB wanted to go to Ohio State (just do a little research to confirm) but Ohio State chose McCord over him. Now, Michigan may still win this year but at least be accurate in your assessments.
I think Tennessee beat both LSU and Bama last year, and our roster has improved on defense (especially in the secondary which was what hurt us) So there's a case to be made base off your own criteria, that the Vols should be ahead of them both at #4

They rank sec high as a tactic so that when the top 2 sec teams lose to one of 9 ranked, they won't drop them much.

I think Tennessee beat both LSU and Bama last year, and our roster has improved on defense (especially in the secondary which was what hurt us) So there's a case to be made base off your own criteria, that the Vols should be ahead of them both at #4
