With the upcoming release of the Xbox One X, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at some facts, secrets, and history of the Xbox 360. Microsoft's Xbox 360 was made to compete with the Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. A few months ago I played with an xbox controller, it took some time to get used to but it played really well for me. The ones who can't use the controllers are probably mentally challenged or they are babies who just came out of the womb
probably. Idk though I've played games since I was 5 so controllers come naturally to me. I've had some family members get really confused when using the switch joycon.
ive been gaming since the N64 (1st console I played was the Genesis though.) and I agree tht controllers come natural to me too. (I used to luv playing my PS2 but ive grown to the point where the PS controller hurts my hands so no more PS for me unless they release an emulator (ill buy the physical copies and give them out to anyone for free, just so it makes me feel a little better about using iso (ROMs) of their games. :P)

No. My Wii and Wii U were dropped multiple times while playing Smash. (GameCube controllers are a pain at times.) The disc were perfectly fine without a scratch.

This console and the Nintendo Wii were my absolute childhood. While I thank the Wii for getting me more into gaming than the Xbox 360 did, I spent more time with my Xbox 360.

My sister's Xbox 360 got the red ring of death. She got it repaired and it still works great today.

Did you know? She most likely never saw her original Xbox ever again. Microsoft were caught replacing people's consoles with ones they had previously replaced parts on just to be able to uphold the 3 week repair time.

Retards get there console repaired. We had 2 xboxs (ones power adapter thing broke) and they both had red rings but still survived even a full red ring not 3 or 2 but 4. Still worked if you turned it off and turned it onm
GamerYT the 4 red rings just means there’s a problem with the AV cables or HDMI cables. The true red ring of death is 3 red lights.

Xbox 360 gave me a chance to play with friends and family for the first time, It was the most fun I've ever had for a video game console

Xenon is the name the processor used in the Xbox 360, that's why it's was chosen as the codename not because it started with an x.

But not all games supported the normal aspect ratio, by that time widescreen mode was already popular. To fit a frame with an aspect ratio of 16:9 into a resolution with an aspect ratio of 4:3, the Letterbox method is used.
Thus, many games worked in a resolution of 640 x 360 (16:9).

I got the Xbox 360 Christmas 2005 when it came out, and I remember the smell unboxing the box that morning plus the smell of PGR3 case. The 360 was loaded with a video on how they came out with and made the xbox 360.

That gen started so bad, you reminded me of all the furstration i had at the time, and that's why i got the Wii, it had what i wanted right in the box.

I loved the Xbox 360. One of my fondest memories, not just gaming but in general, was a nine-hour Halo Reach session. During the late 2000s, we didn't get any of the seventh generation consoles, so I didn't really play video games during that period. We got our 360 for Christmas in 2009, and I really began playing it in the Summer of 2010. The Halo Forge Epidemic regularly held playdates, and I got into one on a weekend in the Spring of 2011. I was there the whole game, roughly nine hours in all.

Craft2299 I hate this thing for wireless controllers that forced me to buy charging wire for half the price of controller itself, and then another one to be able to connect it to pc. And the graphics looked horrible in later games - far cry 3 having the worst aliasing.

The Trinity name was used on Xbox 360 in one of the motherboard codenames for the 360 Slim, the other was Corona. Xenon was the name of the processor, and the first motherboard, with other boards having names such as Falcon or Zephyr

I got my Xbox 360 in the Summer of 2006 and was having a great time with games like Oblivion, Marble Blast Ultra, PGR3, Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark Zero, and Ghost Recon. I mainly got it that early so I could have it ready for Dead Rising (why I wanted the console). I got it at the perfect time when there were so many games coming out; I was still fresh off of playing the original Xbox (still play it to this day with over 150 titles in my collection). I miss the old Blade dashboard, too.
