The problem with the bowl you used is that your hand movements stirred up the water. You can make the "stems" more straight by using a narrow/rectangular container. If you had something like a dish with cover that holds a stick of butter, then the stirring would be reduced. If you moved the glue gun parallel to the long dimension of the cover you would "draw a straight line"
Hmm, I feel like the only way to get them thicker is to use one of those larger glue guns that puts out thicker lines of glue. All of my stems were pretty thin as I was using a basic hot glue gun. You could try making the mushrooms heads smaller or the stems shorter. The taller the stems are, the less likely they will be able to support larger mushroom heads.
Adding white glue to your acrylic paint will help the paint to stick
Love this project!! I cant wait to make these and thank you so much for sharing!
i just subbed and i cant believe some person like you doesnt even have 1k subs , ure so underrated ! i hope you grow soon ^_^

You should definitely make some for your van! How cute would it be to have a few on your dashboard?
@@littleurbangardener yesss so cute!
The water method makes it look more real. Know I can use my new battery heat gun thanks love love the idea.

I've been dabbling with porcelain clay , paper clay and now gonna try your technique. Thanks for sharing
If paint is sticking to what you want then mog podge is great. It’s a clear liquid paint type thing and I use it all the time.
WAHHHHH bruh u deserve MORE subs like omg so so so cute!!!!! ^^

Down with sleeping ! Up with Pugs on videos!!!

I use colored hot glue! Saves me from having to paint. :)
I never thought about that! I'll have to give that a try.
So trueee - just picked up some glo glue sticks today - can hardly wait 4 tmrrws experiments lol
Soooooo cute ! ❤️ 🍄❤️
I'm so excited to try this ah
Super cute!!!
Amazing!
I love it ❤
I actually really like the 3D one's effect! shame it's so hard to paint
I feel like if I had a smaller brush (and a bit more patience) it might work!
Doing this is way better than buying it. 🍄🍄
It's a very therapeutic craft!
Cool I think I'm going to try some here tonight or tomro
I would suggest spraying your mushrooms with a clear coat spray before you try to paint. it might help when trying to apply the paint.
Thanks for the tip!
Next time paint them white first and then paint it with diffirent colourse it works
Hermosos hongos
um hello?! ur so underrated
I can't for the life of me get my stems thick at all. I can get them straight but not thick so they can't support my mushroom head. Any tips??

i may or may not have just dipped my whole hand in hot glue by accident
Oh jeez! I hope you're okay!
@@littleurbangardener lol thanks
Did you use cold, warm or hot water?
I used cold water. It might've been closer to room temperature by the time I got around to filming that part.
How did you get your stems to be so round!?!?! Mine all came out really flat
A lot of trial and error! It took me several tries to get stems that I was satisfied with.
You could have just done the hot glue right on your counter, and it would have been fine
I was too scared to do that since we're just renting the place 😅
