Classes not used often. Maybe each of the Great Knights or Bow Knights. For the characters, that could be tough but the well makes it easier. Characters, two from each country, alear and anyone else.
I made my Goldmary into a Brave Assist Hero Micaiah bot with Draconic Hex and a Javelin. Maybe not her or Micaiah's best use case, but it was effective and low investment. Also she looked good while engaged.
I'd be interested to see build videos. For example sorren on any magical unit is broken because of the constant heals. I'm running Erika on goldmarry as well and she's basically just there for the double chain attacks at full health but she gets doubled by certain enemies which makes her risky.
I am always Anna > Pandreo but in the base game she needs a little more speed to catch up. In the base game to catch up to Pandreo you need to level her as a Griffin Knight for a little while. But the huge issue with Pandreo is his SPEED cap is -1 which is relevant because he does max it out. In the one run I had Chloe as a Sage, she caught up and had -2 MAG at the same level Pandreo joined, but since she has +3 SPD cap she actually did over took Pandreo by the time she maxed Sage the first time. But Pandreo is soooo good as a base unit.
Anna was a hard carry in my run, craziest part was I realized all I had on her was starsphere and Canto in the final fight. I can't imagine what she'd do with a build like yours
I’m starting to love Timerra thanks to your videos! For content I would suggest a Mage Canoneer build, using reprisal and luna brace with roy emblem, or using draconic hex to debuff from long range.
If DLC is in the picture, I think Goldmary is the perfect Hector user, since he boosts her natural tankiness and quick reposte offsets her subpar speed
Too bad Goldmary's speed growth is lacking. As it stands, Timerra clearly is the better unit. edit: I like your technical/debating content like your babying vs favoritism vid, so I'd like to see more of that :)
Do you think Yunaka would be a good enchanter? I want to use an enchanter in my first ever DLC run, where im using all the DLC units and then basically a bunch of early game units to somewhat balance out the DLC, but I don't really have a good option for enchanter. I don't wanna use Framme as enchanter bc she is the only healer i have other than gregory. I'm also trying to figure out who i should put on mage cannonneer. I want to keep Etie and Boucheron on their normal things bc the point is trying to make use of the bad units with DLC, but i also want to use the DLC classes
hey my boi iced coffee gaming aka ya boi, for content I would just like to see like a comprehensive team review for engraving, emblem ring, weapons, skills ect or a vid where you go over all the playthroughs you've done and show what worked what didn't and your progression to where your at now.
Yeah I also noticed how strong Anna was. The whole investment/babbyig thing is overblown. It wouldn't be overblown if you only got a mediocre or bad unit. But if you get a busted unit then its like "So who cares if it takes a little bit to get her going?" I also know how strong Timerra is lol
Challenge Run: ~Full Team every map. ~Every unit used must get some kind of EXP from enemies every chapter (this takes away EXP from carries). ~No engaging as Lucina, but you can use Lucina. ~No Sword/Axe/Lance Power. ~No Starsphere inheritance, but Tiki can be used. ~DLC characters can be used when your army is roughly internal level 20 (does not need to be exactly level 20), unless an update comes out that makes DLC character match Alear's level instead of being set at level 20 when they first join your army. ~No Wyvern Knights. ~No Warp/Rewarp/Rescue. Just an idea, you could put Anna on griffin knight instead of MK once her dex caps. She'll lose tomes but let's be real, Levin sword is doing the work.
I usually run her as sage with Byleth Speedtaker and Canter. Feels like the best mix of combat and gold generation. I'm also not opposed to farming infinite reinforcements, though
Mostly using her for seiging, not denying there are better uses. That's just the role that I prefer her in. Having the extra gold procs is nice for item surge spamming with enchanter.
@@sphyxsairiss even without extra gold you can item surge spam - gold is just not an issue unless youre buying 3 mage canonneers lol. but i do get the point, gold is nice.
My goldmary definitely pops off, I gave her speed taker and resolve Plus, I trained her up on Griffin knight for a while, and I've just switched her back to Sword spear hero. I don't remember what her internal level is but she is 31 Str, 30+2 Dex, 28+1 Speed, 36 Def, 19 Res, 28+2 lck. Rating 186, Hit 164, Avo 70, Crit 15, Ddg 28, Build 10 . I'm running her with Lucina right now but I'm probably going to change that, of course this is only on a hard casual playthrough, she's still one of my MVPs
the better thing for Anna is Griffin Knight for better speed growth for barely less magic, significantly higher speed cap, with sword power since you are not using tomes with sword power so all you need is Levin Sword OR bow user Anna and make use of Radiant Bow and Long Bow (nothing else matters) and use Claude's S tier range for the +1 bow range, Bow Knight is best for the dex, speed, and luck growths and extra movement. Sniper was decent and with Claude's Ring is a free 10% crit, but honestly Bow Knight is way better and Sniper just kind of sucks in Engage straight up.
I don't know if it's just me, but I haven't seen Goldmary actually pop off in any of the runs I've used her on. On my 5th one current and she just never really gets going like people seem to say she does. I've at this point kind of given up on using her since there are so many other characters that can do what she does with minor investment(Or better, honestly) and she just never feels worth it. I like her as a character but she just never feels...useful?
How is your Goldmary so low in defense? She has 55 DEF growth which is 30% more than TImmera so she gets a natural growth of 3 DEF + per 10 levels. Personally been trying to fix her speed naturally but my run has her with Lyn so it kind of cheats there.
Damn, you really left those 2 Sword guys just get away with it. Dimitri seething rn I should take Timerra along again on my next run. She underperformed on my first run, but first runs be first runs, she deserves a redemption arc. MK Chloe and Qi Framme also works as a mini Lucina wall, if you get your Wyvern fill elsewhere. That way Anna can do her Byleth Siegetome moneyprinter business
Momentum Sucks, as you said, it's all about Enemy Phasing, 1 attack per turn, out of your two attacks being boosted by 0-8 damage is not a lot. Bravery basically makes it worthless by being all around better. Goldary build is way worse than it should be. Never use Axe. Goldmary comes as a Sword/Lance user, she should stay that way. She is a Lance specialist, and when deciding on her alternate weapon you need to consider her weakness. If she's got a Lance that she wants to use, what stops her from using it? Swords? No she shits on Swords. Lances? Nope, Lance Vs Lancer is perfectly viable. Axes? YES! Axe's beat Lances, there for Goldmary may not want to use her Lance if the enemy has Axes. So she should switch to something that beats Axes. Swords! Sword beat Axes. Therefor Goldmary should be Spear/Sword Hero. Now the fact that she is hero, means she has access to Backup Emblem traits, there is 1 Backup trait that is especially good, especially for a 1-2 weapon. Like say a Spear (Which Goldmary should have with the correct engraving) That trait is Corrin/Camilla's Dragon Vein. I know you probably haven't caught onto this yet by the way I hear you uptalk Fire/Ice every time you talk about Terrain, but Ground is the best terrain to use for Enemy phasing, it's got all the benefits of Fire's delaying enemies but it's effect is actually good, instead of a small tickle to the enemies and your allies HP, it boosts defense, now yes this will boost enemy defense if they attack you at 1 range. However Goldmary doesn't give a shit, she's amazing. Inherit Solar Brace, equip Corrin and enjoy a Hero as they have always been in Fire Emblem.
I don't understand why you don't play the game. Fire Emblem isn't usually hard to clear the main objective, every single stage can be beaten in 1 turn in this game. Historically the difficulty in Fire Emblem comes from the completion of "Side" objectives. Try to recruit Sophia and get all the items buried in the sand in Chapter 16 Arcadia in FE6. It's too difficult for you. Screw your maddening mode runs with overly funneled units, that's not hard at all. That's easier than easy mode. The hard part comes from the secondary objectives. Like when you have to save the 2 houses in FE8 Chapter 9 Eirika Route while also recruiting Amelia without killing her. This sort of stuff is where the difficulty comes from. Now I'm not saying that this chapter was ever going to be hard. Like I said you over-invested in your units and made the game easier than an easy mode run with well balanced units. However to make even easier you ignored the houses and didn't bother completing the stage. At that point I feel like you should do a 4 person run, Alear full durability + Byleth Dance, Seadall also with full survival build, Hortensia with warp staffs and 1 DPS unit that just kills all the bosses. Beat the whole game by just not playing it.
You are conflating your opinion with playing the game. The fundamental issue is your perception and opinion on what "playing the game" is. I could easily have kept Saphir alive and entered both houses. You can just rout the map outside of Marni and just have her chase you while you open then kill the corrupted. Saphir could have been parked in a corner, I let her die because it amuses me, it is a low man run, part of the rules of the run is I can't operate non-deployed units. I don't enjoy wasting my own time with tedious/not difficult things. Spending an extra 20 minutes to have Marni chase me around the map while I get the extra items doesn't make me a better player, or challenge me, it wastes my time. I've done multiple No Monastery/Dlc/Aux/Paralogue 3 houses runs and 2 Skip Only runs (Can only Skip) on Blue Lions Maddening and Silver Snow. If you want to talk about a difficult challenge, Blue Lions Skip Only was pretty absurd and the tactics I needed to use to beat CH22 were fairly precise and I beat the map with 0 pulses left and all of my gambits used on turn 90 something.
Kinda sad as I feel we're getting near the end of the Engage content barring surprise DLC...which, NGL, I kind of feel entitled to after the Expansion Pass kind as I felt like it was a bit of a ripoff for the price. Ten maps and a bunch of pay to win items/ Emblems for 40$ Canadian is *not* something I would have paid for had Nintendo been a bit more transparent vis-a-vis the content you were buying. That being said have been enjoying the content and will continue to follow even after Engage coverage falls off. Even picked up some tips and insights along the way (coming from a guy who started playing FE when many of your viewers were toddlers). As someone else suggested, maybe do a Mage Canoneer video. I've tried some builds and so far nothing seems worthwhile outside the meme value. Cheers.
Great content! Maybe do a ten man with everyone having the same class? Viewers choose characters or class?

Roy with Alear makes Blazing Sword hits a wider range, potentially one shotting things if it got enchanted Pure Water beforehand
